Mitch continued to hide lightly behind Vienna, although she shifted uneasily. He continued to peer at the Mawhile from under Vienna's arm, and the Ralts decided the conversation should probably continue.
"So, uh, what team do you all have, then?" she asked. It was quite a bit of work, covering for Mitch when he was like this.
She wasn't even a week old and she had figured out that much. Ever since the day she was born she had been dealing with it, and now it was just part of her daily life... It just seemed... Natural to her to protect him.
She also didn't understand why everyone thought his phobia was weird. She didn't. However, that could be, again, because she had been dealing with it ever since she was born and her view had been skewed.
Would she ever be scared of men, she wondered?... Naw, they weren't intimidating enough, she decided.

 ZoriZori shook her head. "I've only ever been on one mission so far. My team's pretty new to the Guild. My partner's been on two missions, though. The second one was with one of our recruits." She patted a leaf lazily with her paw. She wanted to run in circles and chase it around like she did as a kit, but at the same time, she felt too relaxed to do a lot of running or bouncing.

Ruana & Demetri
An awkward silence ensued after she had made her comment, but thankfully the ralts decided to continue, asking her about her team. "We're Team Symphonic," Ruana replied, shrugging her thin shoulders lightly. "We're not very good yet, obviously, since we just got here...Demetri -he's a growlithe, should be around here somewhere- and I are the only ones on the team so far, and we haven't even chosen our first mission yet."
Becoming interested in the conversation, Ruana soon let the odd chimchar float to the back of her mind, but it apparently never quite left, as throughout her reply the jaws on her head slowly curled into a soft but smug grin, and stayed frozen in that position. Then again, she found it hard to keep her emotions from reflecting onto the horns at times, but since there were other mawile up in the mountains, she couldn't recall anyone else being bothered by it...
Demetri's ears perked in surprise; for some reason, Zori had given him the impression of someone who'd been on a mission or two, but perhaps his enthusiasm in finally joining the guild was cluttering his thoughts. It had happened before, after all. "Oh," the growlithe responded, deciding it didn't matter. It was still cool to meet another rescue team besides his brother's. "Who's your partner, then?" Briefly the canine looked around, as though to spot this mysterious character before Zori actually told him about him or her.

Vienna chuckled lightly. "Our team hasn't been on any missions at all, either. We've just helped with battles that pop up in the guild," she answered simply.
It was true; the team hadn't embarked on any of their own journeys. This was mainly because they just simply hadn't found the time.
Mitch cowered behind Vienna even more as the large jaw on the back of Ruana's head began to express emotion. He feared for his life...
And everyone wondered why he feared woman.
Cadarl chose this time to wake up, and he floated over to where Mitch and Vienna and the stranger were. No doubt Mitch was scared of her, and his prediction proved correct.
"Hello. I'm Cadarl, the Co-Captain of our team," He greeted. He would have held out a hand for a hand shake, but... Alas, he had none.

ZoriZori flattened her ears sheepishly. "We've done a lot more fighting battles than we have working on missions, to be honest. And recovering from injuries..." Zori's laugh had a hint of embarrassment in it. "I'll probably lead out another mission within the next few days." She pricked her ears slightly. "My partner? Her name is Ketsueki, although we all call Her Suki for short. She's probably in our team's room with Luna, taking care of the egg." The thought of her teammates made her smile.

Ruana & Demetri
"Oh?" To be honest, Ruana was only mildly surprised; she had assumed that because of their three members they would have been on a mission by now, but at the same time, they weren't evolved or anything, which usually was a good indication. But as she wasn't an evolving pokemon herself, she resolved not to judge on things like appearances when you could simply ask questions.
Any reply the mawile may have had was briefly cut short as the shuppet approached though, and her gaze turned on him. Thankfully, this one didn't seem to be phobic of women the way the chimchar was, which was something of a relief. He introduced himself as Cadarl, and she gave a simple nod in greeting. "I'm Ruana," she replied, introducing herself once more. "My partner and I just formed an exploration team here. Nice to meet you, Cadarl."

Nevertheless, Demetri grew excited as Zori explained that instead they had been fighting in battles. "Hey, injuries come with the job though, right?" the growlithe replied with a doggy smile, remembering all the times his brother had spent recuperating at their family's house in between missions. He calmed down slightly as the eevee told him about her partner, mentioning at least one other member and possibly a future one too.
"Sounds like you've got a few members even though you haven't been on many missions," Demetri said. "Did you meet them in those battles, then?" Always curious, it seemed- in some part of his mind, Demetri knew he was starting to ask a lot of questions, but rescue teams were always so interesting; especially learning about their history and whatnot.

ZoriZori shook her head. "Luna and Kai are Pokemon that Suki and I met on missions. They both had wanted to join our team, so we accepted. The egg, however, is a gift from the higher-ups in the Guild. They sometimes hand them out after big battles or missions as thank you presents. To keep the Guild running with plenty of members, you know?" Zori swished her tail eagerly. She couldn't wait for her egg to hatch!

Cadarl gave a slight bow of his head, though no smile came to his face. Already known to Mitch and Vienna, he didn't smile very often.
"That is good. The guild needs some more fighters, so that if any fall we still have a good stock to pull from," Cadarl observed, nodding in approval at their decision.
He talked of pokemon as if they were mere items to be disposed of or used whenever he pleased, and generally in his mind they were. Vienna was the only exception, since she was unofficially his daughter... Even Cadarl knew how to skip over politics when need be.
Vienna rolled her eyes; her daddy could be so silly some times.

Legacy
From above, in a high branch of a nearby tree, a glowing outline of a small Pokemon peered down with red eyes.
Prancing forward onto the end of the branch and into the open the ,now visible, little blue Eevee gave a whimsical laugh.
"Oh, dont mind me. I am just here for the ambience~
The glowing Eevee rolled onto his back with all four paws waving in the air as he laughed at some joke apparently only he knew of.

ZoriZori's eyes widened in shock as she recognized Legacy's voice. "Excuse me, Demetri!" She dipped her head politely, and turned and ran through the flower bed. She sprinted out across the grassy ground, and leaped up into a tree, her little charcoal paws scratching at the bark as she climbed. She made it up about five branches before she looked up at the glowing blue Eevee above her. "Legacy!" She called out happily.

Mitch heard a voice from somewhere near and, naturally, he turned around to look. There in the tree there was a pokemon, but he couldn't really see that well so he didn't know who.
His brows furrowed. Since Cadarl and Vienna seemed to have the conversation with the new team covered, Mitch ambled curiously towards the tree.
He didn't get too close, though, as not to scare the pokemon. Whoever it was.

Ruana & Demetri
Ruana wasn't sure whether or not to be a little freaked out by the shuppet's odd choice of words; surely he didn't mean to refer to the guild's members like pawns in a chess game, but judging by his expression he didn't seem to have any regrets. She raised a (metaphorical) eyebrow in response, once again searching for words that wouldn't offend both the shuppet and herself. "If you say so."

Demetri listened attentively as Zori explained how she and Suki had met their two other team members. He nodded at the end, tail wagging; the idea of getting a new member was nice, but frankly, he wasn't so sure if he wanted to be a parent quite yet. Ruana was probably better suited to that anyway.
Abruptly, though, another voice reached their ears, and Zori excused herself almost immediately after. The growlithe listened briefly as she called the other's name, and figured they must be long-lost friends or something. Nothing of his concern, really. Standing up, Demetri stretched before he walked out of the flower beds and over to where Ruana appeared cornered by another team. Apparently she hadn't done as well in introducing herself as he had.
Still, Ruana's eyes fell on him almost immediately and she beckoned him over, knowing the fire-type might help to put the chimchar at ease as well as perhaps defend the shuppet's odd way of thinking. "This is my partner and co-leader, Demetri," the mawile explained, quickly introducing him.

Mitch was, indeed, more at ease, but he continued to stay just slightly away from the group. Y'know, just in case the back of Ruana's head decided to kill him.
Cadarl bowed his head once again to Demetri, his unrelenting gaze studying the Growlithe for another moment. It was almost as if he was judging his stature.
"You seem like you'd be a good fighter," The Shuppet observed at last, nodding his head with satisfaction at his own statement.
Vienna sighed once more. Her father seemed to be a bit too preoccupied with the strength of a pokemon as opposed to how fun they were, how their personality was...
Although he did look for their intelligence as well. Cadarl had admired Mitch for his strength, but his intellect left something to be desired. That's where Cadarl planned to help the "poor" monkey. He WAS the best, after all.

"-Then I was like 'I'll mud your kip. Kesesese." Gestein laughed as he followed his partner, holding onto the Gefühl's tailskirt. Gefühl groaned and looked back at him. She had wanted to come here for a peaceful afternoon, not for this.
"Gestein, please, no more innuendo jokes..."
"Don't want me Solrock ya to ya toes?" Gestein snickered. Gefühl just facepalmed. If this was what a friend was, she much preferred her books and solitude.

Legacy
"Hello again, Zori." The glowing Eevee proclaimed with a smile, waving a paw.
"Blue is a good color for you~"
That waving paw pointed to the necklace around her neck and he gave a quick grin, his other paw moving to pat the red pendant around his own throat.
