"Arrow... didn't heal as good as bullets..." he said simply.

Flicker gave Markus a concerned look. "Hey Jasmine, I think we need your healing skills over here. Should I pull out a first aid kit, or something?"

Sage gave Flicker a sleep look. "Why not get some alcohol out and clean the wound first then let Jasmine take a crack at healing him?"

Flicker nodded. "Good idea Sage," she said, pulling out a bottle of alcohol. She cleaned the wound, then asked Sage, "How's that? I think it's clean now. Jasmine, you want to give a crack at healing it?"

He just let her clean the wound. His hands were to big most of the time to handle small stuff, and where he had been hit he couldn't reach.

Sage moved over a bit shoving her green hair out of her face as she looked at the wound. " It looks good Flicker. I think that's as clean as we can get it. There don't seem to be any arrow shafts buried in there so hopefully Jasmine won't have to much trouble cleaning it further and healing it."

"No... no shafts in there, pulled it out clean." he said, shaking his head. He didn't feel much pain when he got shot, he was just annoyed.

Jasmine nodded. "Thanks, guys. It's so much easier to heal without any debris in the wound." Pausing for a moment and placing a hand on Markus's shoulder, she healed the wound. It really wasn't a serious wound, anyway. "There you go. Feel better?"

Sage let out a yawn. "I think I'm going to follow Delilah and Arwa's example and take a nap and try and get some energy back. We all should take a nap though if you insist on staying up then wake me up in a couple of hours and I'll keep watch for a while because you could do with some rest as well."

Markus really wasn't tired. He decided he would take first watch.

Delilah was woken roughly two hours later by a strange noise, similar to hissing. Careful not to wake Arwa, Delilah tiptoed to the tent's opening. It had finally stopped raining and it was dark. The cattle were quietly lowing in their holding pen and there was a small 'lake' surrounding their tents. "It's my turn to take the watch." she said to Markus, who had been there since it'd been decided for him to take the watch.

After Markus had gone in, Delilah took up sentry duty. For two long hours she fought the urge to cloae her eyes and rest. The cattle were peaceful, silent almost except for the occasional quiet 'moo'. Flicker's aheep had insisted on sleeping in a tent of their own, their sheepish snoring lightly echoing in the night air. Looking up to the sky, Delilah saw a shooting star brightly darting from the heavens to the earth. Remembering the old tradition to wish on shooting stars, Delilah silently made a wish that things would turn out alright.

Sage woke up and stretched slightly before she went outside to find whoever was on watch and relieve them. When she saw Delilah she placed a hand on her shoulder. " Why don't you go get some more sleep Delilah? I'll keep watch for a while."
