Mina: Academy jutsus take three posts (Paragraphs) to learn. but since you'll be learning them at your village training grounds, you get minus 2 post bonus. But since you're learning them by yourself, you have to add 1 post, so you only need 2 paragraphs per jutsu to learn the water academy jutsus.
As for the mission: Go to the Hokage tower and have your rpc look at the mission board. You don't need to be approved by anyone, just look at the list and pick a d ranked mission. the missions are on the mission list thread here in Konoha.

sorry to everyone for not posting as much as I probably could be. I've been preparing for finals all weeks, forcing me to study most of the time that I'm home. And next week will only be worse since I've got a final almost every day. But I promise you I'll be on just as much as I can throughout the afternoon. sweatdrop
