Rylyn the Cat
If you could change one thing about someone else, who would it be and what would you change?
I would either change the fact that my sister is perpetually unhappy, or I would change the CEO of Monsanto into a hippie. : P

If you were to be remembered by society 1000 years after you're dead, what would you want to be remembered for?

I would have a job.
A job? That's it? emotion_eyebrow
That's not the only thing, but it's one thing I would change. And the question only asked for one thing.

Wouldn't you rather change the fact that you don't have a million dollars? Or superpowers? Or superpowers that earn you millions of dollars? : P

What the hell would I need one million dollars for? I have no desire to be among the rich and powerful. Having a job that lets me live comfortably is fine for me. Does that make me a "********' tard"? I've never had a job before. I'd like to start making money. Not become instantly rich.

.... Living?

Good. Because if you think having a million dollars would make you either, life is going to give you quite a smack to the face, when you get older.
Lots of middle class people have a mil. Ever heard of inflation? At this point, to be considered rich and powerful, you'd need billions. A million will get you by for life, if you're hella frugal.

You can live comfortably on a mil for while, and get a job anyways, if you can't think of anything better to do with yourself. Or hell, even if, for some absurd reason, you don't want the money, you could get your damn job and give it all away to some charity or friends and family.

Quote:
Does that make me a "********' tard"?
Yes. : P

Quote:
I've never had a job before.
Clearly. I've never had a hysterectomy. Does that mean I want one?

Quote:
I'd like to start making money.
And having money would stop you? You'll still have to at some point, even if you wished for a million bucks.

Quote:
Not become instantly rich.
Why the hell not?

What a million dollar lump sum really get you by, what with taxes and everything? I'm not overly familiar with Canadian taxes, much less American ones, but wouldn't taxes eat up the million before you had a chance to use it all over your lifetime?

I was imagining this magical mass of money in cash form. No taxes if the government doesn't know you have it.
It would still be a stretch though, which is why i said "hella frugal". : P
