Adam laugehd agian and followed him in, the mood simmering down to seriousness onc ehe wa sin teh hospital.

"hello, there's a little girl named Eve here, can I do see her? I brought her in."

"Sorry about that. he's a bit of a goth." Adam said by way of explination, glad that he had hidden all his dmeonic features, but irritated that he- asever- was unable to wear any other colour than black. It usually mad ehim come across as quite antisocial, or at least depressing.
"Thankyou."
he added and headed off to room 132. he hoped she was alright - he hadn't had any good nor bad news, so he expected her to be ina coma or some such state of inbetween.
But she wasn't dead.

He found teh room and hovered at teh doro a little before stepping in. He was instantly surprised and delighted to find that she was awake.

"Eve, I've come back. i'm sorry I had to leave you."

He headed over to the bed and took a chair beside it, looking at what she was dooling with curiosity.
"How are you feeling?"

Adam fought to keep the lump in his throat down and gave a slightly shy smile.
"That's beautiful, Eve, thankyou. I'll keep it safe. And I think it's a good idea that you take it easy. The doctors know what they're talking about."

He looekd bac downat teh drawing, tenderly smooting down the slightly cirmpled edges.

"Has the hospital had any word of contacting your family." he asked, looking at the other picture, though wary not to upset her.

Adam nodded sadly, and wondered if he had already passed her soul on without realising, or if he would meet Eve's mother when he was next on his 'rounds'.
"Your dad's right. You have a lot of people looking after you. Make sure that you're nice to you dad though, I'm sure that he needs as much care as you do right now."
He ran a finger up her cheek gently to wipe off the tear and smiled.
"I'll keep an eye on you - whenever you ned me. If you think of me for hard enough i'll be able to find you, is you want me to,so don't worry."
he then withdrew his hand and stood up.
"There are other people who need my help at the moment though, Eve. So I'm afraid I have to go for now. I'm glad that you're alright. Thankyou for the beautiful picture."
he held it carefully in one hand and then folded it neatly to place in an inside pocket.

In Hell Beelio was restless. Having finished his report to Satan [ with many details tactfully overlooked], he paced around the throneroom, looking out trhough the Amber widnows at the distorted shaddows the fire outside cast. Satan reclined on his throne and watched him. The devil was a naga in apperance due to a bad run in with God many millions of years ago, and his huge snakish lower half hung over the throne and twisted around it, the rattle wagging lazily. His large black fetahred wings dropped lazily and he rested on hsi elbows sideways on hsi seat. Eventually he sighed.

"Beelio, what is it that disturbs you so? You're whizzing around like a rat on acid."

Beelio stoped and looed back at satan, surprised out of his inner musings that the demon had been wtaching him for some time.

"I apologise." he said, offering no other explination.
Satan shifted in his seat and looked down at his nails, clenaing them with one of his fangs

"I never woudl have thought that I woudl see you waiting for the human dawn so desperately. The great Beelio, dictated to by a tiny planet's gravitational orbit." he smirked when he looe dup at Beelio, though hsi eyes were full of accusation.

"I await being abel to continue the mission, my lord. The portal and dmeons on earth excite me."

Satan chuckled. "They do not" he said, teasing a better answer out of him, knowing Beelio was lying. "You're as cold as a golem's arse in such matters."

beelio turned his expressionless face towards satan and said nothing. Satan stared at him, blinked in realisation and then laughed.

"Oh, Jumping Christ! it's your libido" he laughed and flicked his tail in satisfaction at beelio's own pathetic weakness. "You're horny, thats' what it is. Do you have a nice little soul lined up, is that it? you amaze me, you truly do."

beelio growled, not in challenge but in discomfort at being read so easilya nd truned away. Satan contonued to chuckle to himself.
"That is just priceless."

Adam blinekd in surprise at Eve's words she nodded off, but then nodded, his palm resting on the drawing in his inside pocket.
"I will. Goodbye Eve."

He walked outside to where Dogal was and looked up at the reddening sky.
"Red sky in the morning, sailor's warning." he murmered. "Can ypou sense her?" he aske,d trying to focus in himslef. she was dead, so it was his area of expertise, yet whatever opal had trapped her within was blocking it somewhat.

Meanwhile, Gabriel followed Natasha into a small church, taking one last lok up at the rising sun.

Natasha looked at teh boarded up windows wher ethe stained glass shoudl be and shrugged.
"good a place as any i think. we shouldn't be disturbed, and people won't hear anything." she sighed. "I just wish I had all my books with me. It;d have been better at the mansion. but never mind."

"....I'm trying....." Dougal hissed slightly irratated by the sudden lose of concentration in that moment.

Dougal shook off the feeling-focusing even harder.....

Opal watched the sky slowly burst into color from the shadows. Her puppet strings pulsed in excitement. "The master will be here soon," she said taking out the doll holding Aisling, "....very, very soon...."

Dougal jumped with a sudden burst of energy. "To the east," Dougal nearly screamed.
