Sangre's eyes swept the classroom, and she made eye contact with Hanabi.
Yesterday's events flashed through her mind as her arm throbbed, but she still managed to give the other girl a weak smile.

Maxwell was sitting at his desk marking yesterday's assignments.
Kyle changed into his gym gear and went out to the field. He began kicking around the ball some more.

Maxwell got up and headed towards the door.

Sangre got out a book she had to read for English class and flipped it open, leaning back in her chair as she read in hopes of getting her mind off the pulse in her shoulder. It was hard to even move her arm.
Man, I just wanna go home.

Sangre listened to the teacher talk math lingo with one ear, silently amusing herself by laughing at the poor sophomores who had to learn that crap.
I already took my three years of math! She thought smugly as she read. Ha! Losers!

The late bell rang. After ten seconds Maxwell closed the door. Two students wound up getting locked out of the class.
"Okay students" Maxwell said, "take out your assignments and place them at the front table".
