Kurenai was basically in pain now. All of her senses for a moment were overpowering. She thought she was going to die. Then she looked at Mark and his face told her that he knew otherwise. She knew that her life as a human was over, and that she had to live from now on like he did. She flinched and barely managed to smile at him, tears again forming in her eyes.

Kurenai sniffled, then went unconscious saying, "I'm sorry Mom..."

For the first hour or so nothing dramatic happened. Then her mind hit conflict. Her human self would never inflict harm on anyone, while her Vampire self would kill plenty, and frequently if she could. She knew she wasn't going to last as a human, and she simply won't live if she didn't drink blood. But the blood of humans? Are there any alternatives?
The average animal size in this area is about twenty pounds. Humans, who are larger and in greater numbers, contain more blood than seven or eight smaller animals combined. In a Vampire logic, it would be much easier to go for the humans, who can't even defend themselves.
"Agh..." Kurenai groaned as she remained unconscious. Her teeth lengthened more. She felt like she was burning up from the stomach out. She needed blood, more than anything else.
Just thinking about blood made Kurenai's mind temporarily fade. She was now more like a hungry beast that was beaten into a corner. Her blood red eyes opened and she sat up, instantly trying to sniff out her next meal. Her fangs glimmered in the glow of her lamp.

Kurenai opened the door and saw Mark. She could tell that it would be pointless to attack him. He's like her, and he could protect himself. It wasn't worth the effort. But she could smell lots of humans outside, in various places in town.

Kurenai spotted the door and knew that it could very possibly lead to outside. She went over to it.

Kurenai looked at Mark coldly. She was going to get out whether this Vampire wanted her to or not.

Kurenai glared at him, sizing up the situation. She knew he would beat her since she's weakened by starvation. So the next best thing would be to try another way out. She ran towards the large window in the living room.
