"Elnara?" Lore asked softly.

He didn't know what Elnara would need, he didn't need anything, but it was Elnara who might need Ulani.

Elnara smiled and shook her head. "I'm fine now," she said honestly. "Really ... I feel great. It just surprised me more than anything else. Thanks for coming, though ... I feel a lot more reassured now."

And for once she felt a little energetic - probably from the excitement, but who knew?

Ulani nodded. "I'll see you later, then," she murmured. "I'll come again tomorrow to check on you ... just don't overdo things, that's all I can tell you."

And with a quick little wave, she left.

Serenity watched as Ulani passed by the large picture window, then moved to sit in the chair where Lore usually sat.

"So did you two have any plans for today?" she smiled warmly. "Besides resting, I mean ... I know from experience how tedious just sitting every day can be."

"Maybe a small walk," Lore replied, "Since as you said we've been seeing here every day."

Otherwise they didn't have any other plans.

"Maybe a game later... I don't know yet."

Elnara nodded her agreement.

"I may not be able to go far, but I think it would be really nice to get out for once," she smiled. "I don't even know when was the last time I left the house ... it's been a long time."

She laughed softly, then asked her mother, "Would you like to join us?"

"Absolutely!" Serenity beamed. "But only for a while, your father will be looking for me at lunch. I can come back later if you'd like, though ... though Alyse also said she would be back before lunch, she said that she would prepare it for you today."

She knew that sometimes Elnara still liked to work in the kitchen by herself, but that was becoming more and more rare as she grew more and more tired.

"Excellent," Lore smiled widely.

And if all else failed he figured they could maybe rest somewhere or at least sit out on the porch. Just to be out of the house would be wonderful.

"It probably won't be long anyways."

Elnara laughed and leaned forward, struggling to her feet.

"Definitely not long," she giggled as she finally made it, leaning slightly back to keep her balance. "But a walk nonetheless. I think it would be nice to sit by the river. It's not that far ... it's been a while, and it's always so beautiful ..."

She glanced at Lore. "I wonder if I could ask Ulrich to make a bench for us to sit on out there, like they have in the parks in Gaia."

"Maybe.. it wouldn't hurt..." Lore ventured.

And it would be nice, more than that but it would be a place for them to sit when they can't go far.. and he couldn't seem either of them going far with before or after the twins were born.

"Well, he does like to work with wood," Serenity mused, "and he's always on the lookout for a new project ... since Rhea was born, he hasn't had much to do, though I'm sure he would also be more than happy to make a cradle for you two ... or two of them, if you need."

She giggled girlishly. She loved twins ... and when it was her daughter's first pregnancy, it just made things even more exciting.

Elnara blinked. "Do you really think we would need two?" she asked, reaching for Lore's arm for a bit of help as she headed towards the door. "I mean, if it's a good size, they could sleep together ... as babies it wouldn't really matter, would it?"

After all, it wasn't as if they would know the difference ... and perhaps, like Storm and Starr, they might prefer it that way eventually.

"Most cribs are only meant for one baby... at least back home, of course here we could always ask for an extra large crib and it wouldn't matter until they're maybe a year or two... depending on how much they move in their sleep...."

The thing about cribs he would imagine they would or could accidently whamp each other being close to each other.

"I've seen some pretty big cribs," Elnara admitted, "but perhaps we should try for one for each of them, then ... especially if they're just small ones. But really, a baby doesn't need much space, do they?"

After all, she knew her brothers had all slept in just a small cradle at the foot of her parents' bed until they were big enough for a bed of their own ... they hadn't even had a nursery - it was entirely a Gaian idea, but one that Elnara sort of liked.

So far, anyways. She could also see the merit in always having the baby close during the night.

Serenity shook her head and stepped forward to get the door for Lore and Elnara.

"They can't even move until they're a few months old," she replied softly, "so really until they can roll over, they don't need more space than their own size."

"So I guess one crib would do for now," Lore nodded after a moment of thought.

This was after all new territory for him. Staying by Elnara's side in case anything happened (though he couldn't imagine what Elnara was always so careful) he made his way to the door.
