Fearless decided to try again. She took aim at the Troll but it was too fast for her. The Troll raised his big and hairy hand and sent Fearless onto the far wall. She hit the wall and slid down, moaning.
[[I guess I have no luck. I'll try again tomorrow!]]
[[The Troll is still NOT dead! Yet.]]

((Troll))
Bell looks up at the monsters towering over her. Her first instinct was to run, but seeing all of her masters and misses fighting gave her the courage she needed. Bell ran at the troll, sword raised high. The troll notices Bell and lunges at her with its club. Bell ducks just in time and rolls out of the way, getting ready to try again.

Bell runs at the troll once more holding on tightly to her sword. Before Bell had a chance to hit the troll, it viciously swung its club at her. The troll hit Bell, sending her flying across the room.

Seeing a few people get hurt by the troll, Lyra picks up her bow and aims steadily at the monster. The arrow hits the troll in the arm.

The troll, now very annoyed, tuns toward Lyra and starts to come towards her. She grabs an arrow and runs around the troll so that she is behind it. Lyra lifts her bow and aims. It hits the troll in the leg.

Kitty cheered when Lyra hit the troll for the third and fourth times. She decides to try to help take down the troll. Kitty ran the troll, but somehow managed to trip over nothing. Kitty rolled away from the troll's club and managed to scramble up and escape its range.

((Troll, once again.))
Bell sits up, feeling that she'd rested long enough. She runs at the troll again. The troll lunges at Bell with its club, but she's ready this time. She skids out of the way, gaining just enough time to swipe the troll with her sword, making a fatal wound in its side.
((Troll is dead. Finally!))

Bell had been covering her eyes with her ears, but now moved them slowly to look at the troll. It was lying very still on the ground. "I...I think so," Bell stammered.

Alutian applauded the Troll's death, but had her eyes fixed on the mostly-forgotten Chimera that lurked at the other end of the hall.
Remembering what had happened the last time she tried to outwit a chimera with a cautious approach, Alutian opted for a direct assault. She cocked her swords back in preparation and charged...
The beast saw her coming - her approach had been a little too obvious, and the angle of her blades gave away the direction of her attack. It skipped back far more nimbly than any creature so mis-matched had a right to, avoiding both swords.
Alutian spun away from the snapping claws and prepared herself for another quick attack.

Alutian leapt forward, her left sword sweeping horizontally while the right stabbed downward.
With a movement that was almost casual, the monster batted both swords away with its claws, then spun and flicked its barbed tail at Alutian. She dropped flat to the ground, hearing the spikes whistle over her, and contemplated her next move with some annoyance.

Foregoing all and any subtlety and variety, Alutian threw herself forward, low across the ground, both swords pointed at the Chimera's underside.
Luck was with her. The monster either didn't expect such a fast attack from someone prone on the ground, or it thought she was jumping up to stab downward. Both blades tore into the Chimera's fur. The creature staggered back with a horrible scream, thrashing in pain.
Alutian used its distraction to pick herself up and back off a little.

After making sure the Troll was definitely dead, Bell whirled around to see a huge Chimera. Holding her sword at her side with both hands, Bell charged at the Chimera. Still recovering from Alutian's attack, the gigantic monster wasn't quite ready to defend itself. Bell jumped and struck the Chimera's long neck.

Tracy noticed that her wound had been bandaged and it had healed. Feeling so much better she picked up her katana and fixed her gaze once again on the Siren that had wounded her.
Tracy charged at the Siren. It whirled around and slashed through the recently healed wound and made it bleed all over again. Tracy screamed in pain and thought Great, now this will never get healed. She went back and fainted from the pain in safety.
((That's happy. My first attack back up and I get hit by the same monster. I'm out for 12 hours... again.))
