Mahi pouted. "Still! You don't want to have your hand on fire, and then notice only when it's in ashes!"

"Thanks for your concern." Caleb dug in his desk and took out a pair of tongs. "I don't see the need but alright."

Mahi paused. "I guess I never had a reason to worry about myself, since my Dad heals me, but you never know, right?"

"Perhaps I should be more causous." Caleb felt the glass again, and poured a small bit into a beaker and the rest into a seperate one.

Mahi nodded. "Well, if you follow basic safety measures, I'm sure you'll be fine. You know, no inhaling, no tasting, no touching. That's how it usually works. And touching glass that's probably over 3 digits hot isn't wise!" She paused. "Wait, how can you tell the heat, yet not feel the pain? I'm confused."

"I feel the blistering pain, how do you think I can tell how hot the glass is? I just have learned how to deal with it without my body automatically rejecting what I do, repressing instinct." Caleb poured the rest into the last beaker. "There, now, there was actually 4 compounds and/or elements in that were in that subject and their specific heats. Now, what would be another test that would give us further information to identify what they are."

Mahi paused. "Well, you can't blame me for being curious, and, uh... should you put it in water to see if it reacts?"

Draconis VonTrapp ~*~*~*~*~* Hmm... What kind of instrument DID he want to play? He wasn't even sure. He closed his eyes for a moment, and the image of... something came to his mind. He wasn't sure what it was exactly, but it was somewhat light in weight. On his shoulder... Draconis made his way towards the closet, grey eyes still closed, and felt his hand warming up. The closer he got to his instrument the warmer it got, and then his fingers touched something cool, and he opened his eyes.
A violin? His brow crinkled, and he lifted the lightweight instrument, placing it on his shoulder, under his chin. Yes, this felt right. He peeked his head out the door and arched an eyebrow.
"I think I found it." ~*~*~*~*~* Kurai smiled at Draconis. "Yes you have, now come on I'll show you how to string it and the notes. Then again you might already be able to feel the notes. If you can't that's ok I'll teach you, plus you need to learn how to read music." Kurai headed over to her books and grabbed a beginners book on playing the violin. And heads over towards a stand. "The violin is the instrument of lovers. An instrument that inspires the heart to care and is used to help thouse afraid admit how they feel." Placing the book down she sat in one of two chairs infront of the stand. "So is that you?"

"That would test the item to be polar or nonpolar." Caleb took one of the cooled beakers and filled it with some water.

"For just a guess, I will take it." Caleb looked at the reaction, nothing happened to it. "Now, do the rest to the others. I leave the rest of this in your hands, I will only supervise."

Mahi did as she was told, making sure to be cautious, and making sure not to burn herself. "I-I'm done...?"

"What proves that they are the basic elements you tell me?" Caleb was going down hard on her. But, then again, he had his reasons.
