Seeing the attack coming, I knew my sword wasn't fast enough to block it. Taking a gamble I dove into a roll over the swing. Coming to rest on my hands and knees afterwards, looking up to see if another attack was coming as I thought it was or if she would rotate one more time, giving me just enough time to get up to dodge again.

There was too much force to stop it from swinging upward, so I released the staff from my left hand, but caught it quickly with my right, snatching it down while pushing up on the closer end with my left hand. The staff had made a 190 degree flip while in the air, and I was still working against its momentum, but I forced it as hard as I could down and straight for his back.

My eyes widened with my grin and I moved quickly to raise to one knee and brace my sword above me with both hands. As the staff locked down against my sword, I began to laugh. "This is much better. You actually have me running." Blinking out of existence for just a split second, I appeared four or five feet away once more. "Now that the score is tied up, how bout you try defending now?"

(Sadly this must be where I end the night's escapade.)
I felt electric pulses in my arms. "Zowch!" I howled and nearly dropped the staff, but I managed to tuck it under my arm. My hands had suddenly objected very loudly to the amount of stress I'd put on them. "Mayhaps we could take a short break, m'lord?" I grinned, though it was tinged with bitterness at the screaming of my hand muscles. They twitched and flared and made their outrage known. "It would seem I've cramped my hands." As if on cue, more pain shot up my forearms. "And the better part of my ulnaic muscles..." I hissed.
(Totally made that last term up, but I dunno how else to say the muscles on the outer edge of your forearm. ><)

"Of course. It was unfair of me in the first place to ask you to a match upon our first meeting. Take a walk and explore the order, but keep that staff with you... and ditch the sword. I think you'll do well here if you practice often." With that I sheathed my sword back in it's non-existent scabbard and took a bow. "Til next time squire. Though by that time, you might be a knight." As my voice faded so did my body, leaving her alone in the training room.

((That works I guess ^^; ))
Mithras casually walks in and about the halls, listening for sounds of other people, having the sense that something is stirring but not sure of what. He slings his new bow across his back, feeling a great sense of pride in his new position and yet still feels the need to greet the Leo stone and great Hashmal with humble gratitude.

Coming to appear before Mithras, Maluc smiled. "I forgot something earlier Mithras, and for that I apologize. Here." Maluc said holding out a hand. Hanging from his fingertips was a quiver filled with arrows. The arrows were made of a sturdy but lightweight wood, steel arrowheads, and fine flame red feathers on the ends. "I think you'll be needing these."

"Why...thank you." A little lost for words at first, Mithras takes the quiver and observes the arrows within. "Nothing better than flying steel coming for a man's skull, sir." He chuckles and slings the quiver over one shoulder. "A bit abundant with the gifts today, aren't you sir?"

Centaurs never need much sleep, they could go on for days at a time without it. Rhiu had stayed most of the night (or, rather, what was left of it), tending to the little, white puff. The poor thing had apparently sprained one of it's wings, and though she knew little to nothing about animal care, she knew enough to properly bind it. Wouldn't she be able to find someone adept in this particular line of field in the Order of Leo? She dearly hoped so.
Cupping the thing in her hands, the centaur made sure she moved with the utmost of care and backed out of her dormitory into the grand hall ways. Her emerald orbs scanned the halls and saw no one. She decided to wander them in hopes of spotting someone.

Dammit...I'm so booooored....when is anything interesting going to happen around here?
Yami looks around and playfully throws paper airplanes in the air watching them land and skid against the ground.
I'll think of something...
(I think I just need to steal internets more often...yes...that is what I need to do...elborate plans are no fun if not worked out for weeks heh heh heh...or maybe I just need to dig up some dirt on more judges...whatever works)

I was infuriated with myself for losing a chance to demonstrate some actual worth, but it was obvious my hands would have no more of it. My ankles crossed and I lowered myself into an cross-legged sitting position, the staff still clenched under my right shoulder like a newspaper as I tested the muscles slowly and methodically, trying to locate more specific problem areas. Everything's new and different, and nothing seems solid. Doubt seems to shroud every move I make. Still tense and a little jittery from the excitement, my mind wouldn't stop spouting its irrelevant theories. After a few minutes, I gave up trying to soothe my arms and simply maneuvered so that I was sitting on them, the pain flaring more hotly, but a little less loudly due to the stemmed blood flow. Before doing this, I laid the staff on the ground in front of me, simply to show that I was harmless to any other challengers that might lurk in the favorable darkness. Sitting and waiting, intaking all I could of my surroundings, my mind started painting the matches that had been settled here.

((Yes and it was quite amusing ^_^))
Yami giggles a bit as she folds different colored paper, faint writing can be seen but not read. She hums and sings to herself keeping herself entertained.
"la la la...two more days....la la la....two more days....la la la...then the fun starts..."

Alundra stumbles and finds Yami sitting on the floor. She overhears her singing and smiles. The daredevil plops down to join her. "Indeed it does...indeed it does."

Slowly, but surely, Sibyis drifted back from the wonderful world she had just visited with a wistful sigh. Her adventure was over, yet her eyes still sparkling at the sights flashing through her mind. Although the entire experience was triggered by nothing more than black lines on white, Sibyis has found that the insubstantial was often times much better than reality.
