She had only been away from home for all of thirty minutes so Serenity had already prepared herself for the strange looks that she was going to get from the pokemon and from her sister. Although she expected Alex to do more than give her a strange look. Alex had an unfortunate way of tormenting her little sister, and Serenity had a fortunate way of playing little pranks on Alex to get her back. It was a loving but very playful relationship.

Serenity got nervous as she approached her front door. What if she just assumes I can't do it? She bit the bullet and just barged in, figuring that Alex might take her more seriously if she just ran into the house. At least she wouldn't be able to say that her sister was lolly-gagging about going on her trip.

"Alex! Where are you! I need your help!"

Alex was on the second floor balcony with some of her pokemon when she heard her younger sister burst through the front door. Didn't I just say good bye? What could have happened in such a short period of time? She got off the lounge chair where she had been tanning, and made her way down to her frantic sister. If she hadn't known her sister any better she would have thought that something bad had happened with the way she was yelling. But Serenity always had a touch of the dramatics.

"What's up Sere? Back so soon?"
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2008 7:42 am

Serenity could tell by Alex's tiny blue bikini that she was interupting her sister during her "daily" tanning. She just shook her head. Sere couldn't understand her sister's need to go out and lay beneath the hot hot sun just so she could turn her skin a different colour. There were so many other things that she could be doing.

"Sorry sis, but I just wanted to change my plans up a bit. I was wondering if Lathia would be able to give me a ride over to Oldale?" She asked, making sure to use her sweet, younger sister voice.

Alex looked at Sere as though she had grown a new head. All that commotion simply so she could ask for a ride?

"Looking to get a few badges before heading over to the new region eh?" She said. Alex couldn't deny that she was impressed with the way her sister thought. She herself had already gone through the entire region collecting all eight badges. She was the first of her family to do so. Followed closely by their brother. Alex figured that Sere wouldn't have the time to collect all of the badges before she left, but she would probably be the first to collect the badges of the new region if she kept up with this kind of ambition.

"I'm sure Lathia wouldn't mind going for a ride. Plus she likes you." Alex said. She was then tackled by her younger sister, Sere's long braid swinging as she did, hitting Alex in the back of the head.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" Sere said. Her sister just laughed as she pulled away from the exubrant new trainer. "Thank you so much Alex!"

"No problem Sere. Just do me a favour eh? Make sure that George is all trained up before you take him into those gym's. We want to make sure you keep the family rep up." She laughed.

The two of them walked to the back yard where Alex let the Charazard out of it's pokeball. Lathia let out a loud growl happy to be released from it's small confinds for the first time in a few days. Alex walked over to the large flying lizzard, petting it's nose. "I have a job for you, get your wings stretched out." Lathia nuzzled into it's trainer. "I need you to take Sere over to Oldale." The Charazard looked at the young blond then seemed to nod. "You two take care of each other." Alex gave her sister another quick hug before helping her on the lizzard.

Mitsu laughed as thier supposed football was really Bud Jr. Such a sneaky trick! she thought. Ivy on the other hand wasn't such a good sport about the whole event. He was just seconds, seconds! away from scoring the winning point for Team Not-Senior. He groaned place Bud Jr. on the floor. Mitsu walked over to her big leafy Pokemon. He had grown rather big, bigger than an Ivysaur she'd ever seen. "You're close to evolving aren't ya buddy? Have been for a while," Mitsu laughed patting the vibrant pink bud. Maybe he didn't want to evolve, maybe that's why he was still an Ivysaur she thought to herself.

At a three to three tie the game was paused as Sae ran off to see his girlfriend. Or at least that's who Mitsu assumed the pretty girl was. As he dashed back and announced his great news Mitsu gave a full blown smile as Sae and his now fiance left off for thier date. It was heartwarming, especially for a girl who had yet to see the event happen. Ivysaur gave a low roar and nudged Mitsu as he duo walked off. He too was happy for Mary-Anne's brother.

Mr. and Mrs. Rusting too decided to go on a date and they left the game as well. Now that just left M.A. and herself and ov course all thier Pokemon. "Everyone's out on a date, maybe we should go on one," Mitsu joked, "Just kidding!" She gave out a small, musical laugh before continuing, "The Pokemon Center sounds fine. I'm sure Ivy would like a rest too."

Serenity used her sisters outstreched hand to help her get on the back of the large flying lizzard. She had no fear of Lathia at all. In fact the Charazard used to carry her all sorts of places when it first learned how to fly. Sere was the only one that had no fear of flying what so ever, the others in her family had to learn to get over their fear. I can't wait until I own my very own flying pokemon.

She waved good by at Alex once more as Lathia took off. Sere kept her eyes on her sister until the very last moment, taking in how everything seemed so small from so high up. George was on her lap in front of her, and she smiled thinking that this was probably the one time that the fire lizzard would have little problems with carrying a water pokemon on it's back.

George seemed to nuzzle into her as the ride continued, soon she could hear his soft snoring. Serenity herself was far too excited to even consider sleepign for the ride. It wasn't that long of a ride really, and she didn't want to just start to get sleepy only to have to get down and get to work. She let the mudkip sleep though, figuring that if she could pull it off today would be a fairly busy day for the pokemon. The training that needed to be done before the first gym was quite extensive, plus she wanted his help to get a few more pokemon on their side.

If Lathia hadn't started to drop, all of Serenity's day dreaming would have indeed put the girl to sleep. The Charazard landed in front of the pokecenter and bowed down to allow it's passangers to get off. Sere carried the mudkip, which was still sleeping, off Lathia and was careful not to stumble and send them both to the ground.

"Thank you Lathia." She smilied at the pokemon and gave it soft kiss on the nose. "You take care of Alex while I'm not there okay?" Lathia gave her a nod then took to the skies again, heading home.

"Alright where too next?"

"Poliwag, Ariados, go!" Ariados would be the clear choice against fighting pokemon, the type advantage in resistances was perfect, but she would be at a disadvantage to psychic attacks. But Owen said that he was training these pokemon, there was a chance that the Meditite didn't know any psychic moves at all. I'm gonna have to study up on Hoenn pokemon on my trip... "Poliwag, Water Gun on Meditite! Ariados, Night Shade on Meditite as well, go!" Crenu took it upon himself to attack first, if he could take out that Meditite as quickly as possible then he could concentrate of the less threatening Mankey. Poliwag took aim and shot the stream of water at the Meditite. Ariados was right behind him, firing the dark shade of energy from the legs on her back. Both attacks flew in sync, the shade spiraling along with the water. These were the combinations that they had been working on ever since Crenu took them under his wing. Ariados had been practicing this same combo with Larvitar's sandstorm, and this water jet was easier to flow with than the sand. A combo like this was sure to do heavy damage, Crenu was off to a strong start.

"Ha ha ha! Jumped the gun a little there, this might be easier than I thought! Mankey, Karate Chop that Poliwag! Meditite, Detect!" Owen grinned wide, this kid was still a little green and it would cost him. Meditite closed her eyes, opening her senses to the world. As the combination attack came within range she calmly leaped into the air and landed just as the watery shade passed under her. As this went on, the Mankey had dashed off directly at Poliwag with his hand held up over his head. Mankey had been left wide open and with the other pokemon attacking Meditite, they could do nothing.

Crenu was to shocked by the Meditite's perfect dodge that he almost didn't notice Poliwag go flying into a cave wall. He had underestimated the Meditite, what was that move it used? Detect? Whatever it was, the dodge was impressive and he had made a terrible mistake. Mankey was not to be left unwatched from now on. But more importantly, that Meditite would be troublesome if he wouldn't be able to even touch it. "Poliwag, Ice Beam on Mankey, Ariados, Fury Swipes on Meditite now!"

Kilik nodded, standing up again. "Sure, but let's battle with our stronger Pokemon. Fighting with the kids is fun," he laughed, "but I think the passersby deserve a bit more of a flashy show." The black haired boy walked over to Mike and messed up his hair once more. He walked up a single stair, as the couches were in somewhat of a pit, and headed towards the electronic door.

It slid open and he took a step outside, breathing in deeply. The salty air was nice, but he missed the cleaner air of Verdanturf. He looked over his shoulder to see if Mike was following. Whether or not he was, he grabbed up Ludicolo's ball and held it in his hand.

M.A. giggled before agreeing. A passing thought floated in and out of her mind; when would she be the one to go out on a date with a love interest/loved one (hopefully she'd have one, since she really didn't want to die an old maid in some dreary attic with a never-worn, dusty wedding dress)? It was more an idle, unimportant musing amongst her cheerful present. A present that included a very hungry Tora and sand all over her clothes. Before they left the beach, they sprayed down their Pokemon as to not track sand all over the PokeCenter.

It wasn't a far walk to said establishment, and after M.A. had handed in all their Pokemon (including Grace and Spade, who Michael had left in her care for the moment while he went gallivanting around), she decided to excuse herself for a much-needed shower. It felt good not to have sand coating her hair and skin.

Afterwards, seeing that Mitsu wasn't around and assuming that she was off somewhere too, decided to head to the cafeteria and wait there. She picked up her Pokemon to feed them before they went rabid from hunger and mauled her.

Mitsu's thoughts remained happy for Sae on the short trip to the Pokemon Center. She imagined herself with someone too, just picturing how happy she would be and how nice it would be to have someone love you that much. Unknown to her however, this dream would remain just that, a dream. Not in the near furture or ten years from now would she have that special someone.

Once through the sliding glass doors the purple haired trainer dropped off her Pokemon with the nurse and headed straight for the showers. She felt much more refreshed once the hot water fell on her skin washing away the sand and dirt that had covered her from head to toe during thier match.

The sandy game of beach rugby was the perfect excuse for her to change into her new clothes. Mitsu had packed extra clothes just in case a situation like this should arrive. And well, shopping with Liza just turned shopping into an enjoyable experience, especially when the two girls brought Tate along unwillingly. Mitsu changed into her new pair of bermuda shorts. They were a light gray with thin dark purple vertical stripes. The mini-skirt had just become too inconvient and the shorts were much more comfy. Tossing her dark navy longsleeve and white laced cami to the side she slipped on a plain white tee shirt and a short purple dress. It was much too short to wear alone, well at least she thought so. Now that was more like summer-wear she thought as she washed and dried her old clothes before packing them away. The shirt would be lovely when winter came around.

Finally done, even though in reality it didn't take that long, Mitsu stepped outside into the main lobby. Since is was close to dinner and upon not having spotted her friend Mitsu decided to head over to the cafeteria. "Hey M.A.!" she greeted after finding Mary-Anne at one of the many table.

"Fine, fine, whatever," the Nameless Trainer chuckled, holding up his hands defensively. "How about this, you win and I'll even tell you my name this time." He continued to smirk as he tucked a strand of dark hair behind an ear. He held a Pokeball in his hands, and would toss it up and down every so often.

Kasiya sighed, looking at her Pokemon once again. "Yeah, fine. I don't see why not." She was quick to recall her party, leaving only Levi out of her Pokeball. She as still eager to have the young Marshtomp learn as much as she could just by watching, and she knew that Nameless Trainer's Pokemon would be too much for her. "So how are we going to do this?" she asked, kneeling down to pat Levi, who eagerly lapped up the attention. "And no, she isn't your first opponent, either," she added, noting the look the young man was giving her.

"You may not think it, but I'm not completely harmless," he chuckled, walking over and also kneeling down beside the Marshtomp. "You'll make a fine Swampert someday," he told her, patting her on the head. "And then we'll see just what you can do." He stood up and brushed the dirt from his pantlegs and smiled. "I was thinking four on four, just like last time. "

"Sounds good to me," Kasiya said, nodding. She was also quite certain that Ada and Digger might not be strong enough to compete with his Pokemon, but she wasn't left with much choice after Seto, Casimir and Flash. "We could make it interesting though, and have a double battle."

Nameless Trainer seemed to flinch at that, but after a moment he nodded. "Yeah, sure. I challenged you, after all, so it's only fair you get to pick the battle conditions." A second Pokeball appeared in his hands, and after the two trainers had taken their positions, he called out his Pokemon. Kasiya wasn't surprised to see that now-familiar Machoke and Dodrio, remembering that both times she'd fought him he had sent them out first, starting with the Fighting-type.

It wasn't until she had gripped Casimir's Ultra Ball in her hands that she realized with a horrible pang that the Absol, Persian and Larvitar would all be weak to the Fighting-types powerful attacks, but if she could get past the Machoke without having to resort to Flash, the swift Jolteon could easily take down his Dodrio, and possibly that nasty Crawdaunt of his (assuming he still had it). She couldn't quite remember just what other Pokemon he had used the last time they had battled, but she had seen those first three twice now and was not expecting this time to be any different. Sighing, she closed her eyes and tucked Ada's Pokeball away, instead taking out Digger's and enlarging it. "I choose Casimir and Digger," she announced, tossing them both out at the same time. It was kind of funny, seeing her two least-social Pokemon together in a battle, but they exchanged a glance, both aware that they would have to work together to bring down their foes.

"That Absol again," Nameless Trainer smirked, shaking his head. "I still can't get over that." He sighed, and pushed his dark hair from his eyes once again. "Okay Machoke, start of easy. "Give that Absol your Karate Chop! And you, Dodrio, attack the Sandslash with Peck!" The triple-headed bird was as fast as ever (and just as creepy, to boot) as it tore off towards Digger, all three pairs of eyes staring him down as they pecked at him with their sharp beaks. The Ground-type let out a cry, but on Kasiya's command, he opened his eyes and swung at his opponent viciously with a glowing, outstretched claw, connecting with the belly of the Dodrio for a powerful Crush Claw. The bird staggered back, feeling a bit weakened by the crushing blow.

Casimir, despite his type disadvantage, did have one thing on the Machoke - speed. He somehow knew that he would have to rely on strategy, rather than his brute strength, to overcome this opponent. Crouching low, the Dark-type danced out of the Machoke's reach, an eerie crimson glow emanating from his curved horn and spreading out to the rest of his body. the Machoke let out an enraged growl having missed his target, but he took a few steps back, a bit wary of the glowing Absol.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" Keegan said suddenly, reaching up and pulling the cord that held the piece of charcoal from around his neck. He then slipped the cord over Helios' head, sure to fasten it securely. The Vulpix looked down at the beloved item and gave a cry, how he'd missed that!

A short time later, Helios was perched on Keegan's shoulder as the duo made their way outside into the back yard. By now, many of the Pokemon living here were sound asleep, while a few nocturnal Pokemon gazed at the familiar boy as he walked around. He came upon Moeder, not surprised to see that she was still wide awake, and taking care of not one but three baby Pokemon, somehow all wedged together in her pouch and sleeping soundly. Keegan smiled and gave the Kangaskhan a pat on the arm. "You're amazing, Moeder," he said, to which the mighty Parent Pokemon smiled a toothy grin and put her large arm around him, dragging both he and the startled Vulpix towards her.

After finally managing to escape Moeder's 'hug' he continued to walk around the large yard, wondering how many Pokemon were new and which ones no longer lived here. At one point, the cry of another Vulpix caused the duo to stop, and an adult, female Vulpix dashed towards the two. "Lookie who it is, Helios!" the boy chuckled, bending down so Helios could jump off his shoulder. The two Vulpix gave a cry of delight and danced around each other, obviously happy to see one another. "Your mom sure looks glad to see you," he commented, leaving the two to themselves for a moment. He glanced over his shoulder, silently wishing his own mom looked that happy to see him when he came home. Shrugging the thought away, he continued to wander around, saying hello to the few Pokemon that were still awake.
=====
"Lucky shot," the boy sneered as he recalled his fallen Sentret. "That doesn't mean anything, I just caught it this morning anyway." He dug around in his backpack for a second Pokeball, coming up with it after a moment or two of searching. "Try this one on for size!"

"Oh really?" Miharu said, her tone bored as she saw a smooth, greenish Pokemon appear before her, encased in a hard shell. "A Metapod? You think you're going to best my Flaaffy with a Metapod?" She sighed and shook her head. It wasn't like her to be so overconfident, but this boy was getting on her nerves, and she wanted this battle to be over as soon as possible, so she could be on her way to challenge Whitney (after, of course, another round of healing). "Sparkle, get it with your Tackle," she said, pointing at the coccoon Pokemon. Now able to stand on her hind legs, the Flaaffy dashed forward, lowering her head as she rammed into the immobile Pokemon, knocking it over backwards several times before it came to a stop on the ground.

The boy said nothing, only grumbled something to the Metapod, who seemed to be struggling to get up as its shell gleamed with a silvery radiance, Harden. "This the best you can do?" Miharu called, annoyed that the boy's pathetic display thus far.

"Hey!" M.A. said, greeting her friend with her 100-watt smile. "Nice outfit," she added, bobbing her head up slightly in acknowledgment.

To go straight to the point - They ate. Their Pokemon ate. They cleaned up. They slept.

((Bestest day EVER! XD))
Okay, now if Casimir can keep that up, Kasiya thought, watching the Absol perform another Swords Dance and once again manage to keep himself distanced from the Machoke's powerful swings. The Superpower Pokemon was becoming angrier and angrier with each attack that missed, and each miss meant Casimir had a chance to power up with Swords Dance. The Dodrio, meanwhile, had recovered from the nasty blow to its stomach, and all three heads were shrieking something awful as they reared back and let the Sandslash have it, pecking away at his body with a series of rapid pecks - Fury Attack. Digger could do nothing but curl into a ball, hoping his spiny back would help to fend off his tri-headed attacker.

"Your Sandslash needs more practice," Nameless Trainer sneered, despite looking quite flustered as the Machoke missed hitting Casimir for a third time, although the Absol had to really move in order to avoid the hit. Digger's eyes flashed open at the comment and he unfurled his body, shooting out a spray of golden stars that seemed to veer off into two separate streams - one went for the Dodrio, the other went for Machoke.

"Nice Swift, Digger!" Kasiya cheered, decidedly ignoring Nameless Trainer. She did have to admit that it would be nice to actually be able to call him by name instead of just "Nameless Trainer" or "that cocky jerk" all the time. "Get ready to fight back, Casimir!" she called. "When you get a chance, hit that Machoke with your Aerial Ace!" The Absol gave a quick nod, sidestepping a fierce Low Kick and backpedaling as fast as his legs would take him. With the number of attacks coming his way, it was hard to actually get an attack of his own in.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 02, 2008 4:16 pm

Kasiya started to see Casimir's problem after a moment or two, noting that the Machoke seemed to be quite intent on laying into the Absol. Digger was temporarily preoccupied with the Dodrio, but he didn't seem to be having any luck against it as it kept trying to peck at him with its three, razor sharp beaks. She rubbed her hands together, and then clapped. "Digger, hit that over-sized bird with your Sand-Attack! That might slow it down! Then I want you to use Rollout on the Machoke, got it? Casimir, keep the Machoke's attention on you!" She received an affirmative nod from Digger, followed by a noise that sounded like a bark from Casimir. Kasiya had never heard him make that sort of noise before, but she liked it - it was far better than those growls he was so fond of.

The Sandslash ducked as the Triple Bird lashed at him with another attempted peck attack, just managing to avoid it before he dug his front claws into the gritty ground and flung as much sand upwards as possible, looking quite proud of himself as he saw each pair of eyes slam shut and each throat emit a painful, annoyed shriek. Knowing now was his chance, the Sandslash took aim and curled into a ball, dirt kicking up behind him as he sped towards the Machoke, who was still completely preoccupied with the Absol. Casimir now was using his Quick Attack to stay out of the Machoke's reach, so naturally the Superpower Pokemon wasn't expecting to see a spiky ball suddenly rolling towards him. Digger's aim, however, was just slightly off, and instead of barreling into his target, the Machoke actually tripped over him instead, causing the Sandslash to let out a squeak of pain and scramble away. However, the downed Machoke now presented a perfect target for Casimir, who watched with a devilish smirk as his favourite technique soared through the air and struck the Fighting-type in the shoulder as it tried to get up, scoring a powerful, super-effective hit. "Great work, guys!" Kasiya cheered, looking towards the Dodrio, who had now locked two pairs of eyes on the Dark-type.

The Machoke was finally able to get to its feet, and it glared at Digger, angry that the Sandslash had caused it to fall. "Get it!" Nameless Trainer shouted, and the Superpower Pokemon tromped towards Digger, who reared back and slammed his claw into the Pokemon's belly for another Crush Claw. The hit was solid, and the Fighting-type's face contorted in pain, however it grabbed the Sandslash, ignoring any pain it may have felt from the Ground-type's spikes and held him over its head before giving a triumphant roar and slamming Digger into the ground for a powerful Vital Throw. Digger groaned weakly and tried to get up, but found himself unable to. There was a difference in the experience level of the two, and Machoke had the upper hand.

"Return, Digger!" Kasiya called, watching the Ground-type disappear with a red flash into his Pokeball. "You're doing great," she said proudly, before clipping the sphere back onto her belt. He was indeed improving, as Kasiya recalled how timid he had been back when she met him. She glanced up at the Machoke, wondering how much more it could take. Meanwhile, Casimir and the Dodrio had squared off, and the two were circling each other, daring the other to make the first move. Suddenly, Casimir bolted forward, a white light streaming behind him as he attempted to strike the bird with a Quick Attack. The Dodrio, however, was faster, and it managed to sidestep, each head opening their beaks wide as an energy formed in each one. With a fierce screech, each beak fired, and rays of yellow, blue and red energy swirled together into one, heading for Casimir. The Absol could only watch with wide eyes as the Tri Attack struck him in the side, taking the wind out of him. After a moment or so he was able to get back up again, very lucky he hadn't been afflicted by a burn or paralysis, or had been frozen solid.
