[Someone set us up the bomb. All your base are belong to us. Serious, sorry to hear that.]

"I never stopped racing." Mike said as the two new friends passed him by. After they got a few feet ahead, Mike initiated his plan. He held his hands to his chest so he formed a circle. A small orb of flames appeared in his hand. He took off and leaped low to the ground, shouting "Raging Hellfire!" and threw the orb to the ground. As it hit it exploded, sending the demonic half-elf flying through the air. He passed Ashe and Flint and continued rising as he approached the wall. He then became well aware of little thin brown strips moving towards him. Apparently the archers on the wall hadn't seen a flying elf before.

As Mike pulled his sword out, he flew into the rain of arrows. The ones that came too close were sliced before they hit him, and the rest flew downward at the ground. He hoped Ashe and Flint wouldnt get struck by them, and while he was distracted, an arrow brushed his cheek, leaving a long mark. Mike stuck his left arm out and summoned another ball of flames, throwing another Raging Hellfire spell just above the archers. It came out a a huge wave of flames that came out of the sweep of his arm, and all the arrows in the path vaporized on contact with the flames. Mike then became well aware that the wall was getting closer, and with a spin of his sword, he slammed into the large wall, his sword impaled into it. He pulled it out and held it on the wall as he slid down. To climb up would be suicide, and to bust through would be disasterous. He'd enter with his friends instead.

Ashe reined in her horse as the arrows came flying down on Mike. "Fool! You want to get yourself killed?!" she yelled at him. But the arrows where still coming.
"Lower your weapons! We come in peace!" She called up to the guards.
"Then can you explain the one that just charged at the wall?" one called down, the apparent leader.
"After weeks of traveling in the woods, we got excited to see the wall. We raced each other to your city. Can you blame us for getting a little carried away?" she called back.
The guards looked at each other and lowered their bows.
"We'll open the gate for you." The leader called down.
"Thank you!" Ashe called back as the gate went up.

One of the arrows went high, streaking towards Flint.
"Ohshit." he said quickly, gathering enough energy into his hand and molding it as best he could into a shield.
The arrow imbeded itself into the glowing, white-blue box of energy, before rattling to the ground as Flint let the shield disappear.
"Mike, you blasted idiot! You know, you nearly invaded a neutral country!" he shouted, coming up alongside Mike.
Had he been a lot taller, and a lot stronger, he would have knocked him on the back of his head.
Instead, Flint opted to continue riding under the gate as it was lifted.

As Mike hit the ground and put his sword on his belt, he trotted over to his friends. "Sorry about that," he said as he walked next to them, "I guess I got a little carried away." He turned his attention to flint "And I'm fairly certain that an invasion takes more than just one flying half-elf." Still, though it was short lived and dangerous, he enjoyed flying through the air. Even as a demon he felt a slight sense of freedom as the wind breezed past him. A free demon was a dream that was still far away. No one can truely be free if they cant remember what freedom was. One of the guards at the gates gave him a dirty look. Mike knew how to put fear in a person's heart, and with a quick glance of pure psychoticness, the guard jumped and changed the feeling in his eyes to fear. Mike laughed then to put him at a little more ease, though the guard still seemed to be horrified.

As they walked into the city, Mike put his hands behind his head and leaned back saying "I still won though." with a smile.

Her backpack in hand Sorrow looked around and saw that everyone had taken off without her once again. She sighed and looked around, only seeing the walls from a distance. She looked down and tried to think of how to get there and then noticed something in her pocket. She pulled it out and slowly opened her hand to reviled a small black orb. She held it tightly and thought again about wanting to get there before the others and suddenly a pool of black smoke appeared around her. She closed her eyes as she was unaware what was going on and before she could think she opened them only to find herself inside the stone walls looking as the half elf demon was saying something about winning.

“Huh? I um… guess I’m faster than you.”

She smiled and then looked awake quickly putting the orb back into her pockets before anyone noticed. She sat on a small seat and began to play a song on her lute. Her eye focusing on her hands she strummed away not paying anyone or anything any attention.

“Through my disdain
and endless bravado
I've published such lust
It's thought of as curious
Now I imply dead space we can't trust.
So what? So we say so. Yes, but

Who's the gospel and who is the plain truth?
Who's the misprint and who is just slander?
And who's the corpse and who is the carcass?
Show me a saint and I'll show you their blood lust.”

She suddenly stopped playing and strapped her lute on her back.

“Go on ahead I need to change clothes.”

She spoke softly before standing up and dusting herself off. She slowly walked around looking for a place to do so, blood dripping from her left hand.

Ashe walked the horse through the gates. She looked up at Sorrow and whistled in surprised. When Sorrow pulled out her lute, she crossed her arms and listened.
When Sorrow left Ashe noticed the blood on her hand. She ran after Sorrow and grabbed her hand. "What happened here?" she asked, examining the wound.

Sorrow started to walk away as someone grabbed her hand. She felt a slight painful feel in her hand and slowly turned around letting out a small yelp. She looked down at her hand and then back to Ashe.

“It’s… it’s…. nothing. I um…” Sorrow stopped when she saw the concerned look on Ashe’s face. “Okay I’ll tell you.” Sorrow looked around and then spoke when no one else was looking. “I think it has to do something with this suit. I don’t know what it is, but it’s painful. It’s um… almost as if it’s feeding off my blood. It also might be from this thing.”

Sorrow pulled out the small black orb and handing it to Ashe. “I don’t know what this is, but I think it’s how I got here so fast. It could be one or other, I’m not too sure. I didn’t want to say anything to the others and make them worry.” She started to tear up and then turned away.

“Something else is bugging me too. These black wings of mine, they are a omen. I read about it in my hidden book. It is said when a Fallen’s wings reappear and stay for a long period of time, it’s a sign of betrayal. It’s when a Fallen can never return to the kingdom of above. I.. I… I’ll never be able to go home.” Sorrow could no longer contain herself and started bawling her eyes out and pushed away from Ashe and ran off to be alone.

Ashe could only stare as Sorrow ran off. She balled her hands and punched the ground, leaving a small crater and opened her knuckles.
"I'm the one to blame. If I hadn't been so cocky, you never would have been captured."
She looked back to where Sorrow had run off. "I'll kill that elf, if it is the last I do," she vowed.
Turning back she walked back to where Mike and Flint stood waiting for Lyn. "Want to find an inn to stay at? We'll be here for awhile."

[Sorry for not posting in a bit, I had writers block >.<]
-----
"An invasion is the action of invading somewere, entering someplace that you didn't previously occupy, using force. I could invade a country if I wanted to." Flint said to Mike, continuing up the road.
When Sorrow appeared, he jumped.
"How the...never mind." he said after a minute, continuing to walk.
Flint then noticed no one following him.
"What?" he asked, turning. No one answered. "What?" he asked again. He then heard Ashe talking to him.
"One inn, coming up." Flint said, turning up the street. He started walking, looking around.
"This is the capital, there's bound to be one somewhere..." he mumbled, not looking up. Had he, he would have noticed a sign pointing to the building he was walking past, proclaiming it as an inn and bar.

[Jeeze, wait for one more post and suddenly I'm behind. Well a brief note: I have tests coming up and practice for Pit Band every day after school, so I might not have time to post. But I'll be back by the end of October for sure! And I'll check in every other day or so too.]

As Mike saw Ashe throw her fist to the ground, he was glad he hadn't had to fight the group. He knew he could win, but he could have been easily killed had he gotten stuck by her fists. Though Mike was quite she she was even more brutally strong in her dragon form. He was also concerned with Sorrow. Though she radiated an aura of light, there was something corrupting within it. He was certain she was a Fallen Angel, but he felt something different about her. Fallen Angels were sometimes corrupted to being nearly demonic after being thrown out of the Paradise above. But she seemed as though she wanted to be forgiven and given a second chance.

Mike was then reminded of himself. He wanted to see what that Paradise was. He had a feeling he had seen it, for he had an untapped power deep inside him, he was certain of that, but how to unlock it and use it was beyond his knowledge. How could he possibly atone for his actions, killing people, suicide, there was very little he could do. So he would hunt down the one who brought him back and make sure he would join him in the inferno. Mike cracked his fingers just by flexing them and bending them.

As Mike watched Flint walk past the tavern he shook his head and whistled to him. As Mike walked in he walked up to the innkeeper and tavern owner. "We're in need of some lodgings. Five rooms would do nicely." The innkeeper laughed. "Kid, this is the capital. You're gonna need some major gold to get you that many rooms." "Name your price." Mike said, intimidating the owner slightly. "One...two-seventy-five, yeah, that'll do nicely." He said smiling. He thought there was no way Mike could pay for it. Mike laughed and reached around his back, reaching into a small bag on his belt. He pulled out several large gold coins and tossed them on the table. The innkeeper's jaw dropped. "That's...fifty more than you need to pay!?" he shouted in astonishment. "Then you'll be bringing our drinks up, right?" Mike said smiling. "Uh...yeah, sure thing sir." the innkeeper said nervously. He obviously didn't know who he was dealing with and learned a valuable lesson: looks can be quite decieving.

As Mike headed up the stairs first he was stopped by guards with javelins at the top. The moment their weapons flashed infront of him to stop him, he had drawn his sword and blocked their decent. "Wha? Put your weapon away!" one guard shouted. "Trust me, you're better off fighting me with a sword in hand." Mike said without looking. "Do it now!" the other guard shouted. As Mike put his sword away, he felt the guard to his right reaching for his gold bag. He quickly spun and grabbed the guard's javelin and spun the guard into his fellow soldier, sending both of them flying, but not before Mike seized the other guard's javelin. "I warned you two." Mike said, setting the weapons on the floor, "Now before you go harassing another paying customer, make sure he doesn't know how to disarm an opponent." With that, Mike headed towards his room at the end of the hall.

Flint stopped, turning around.
It took him a moment, but he looked up and saw the sign.
"I knew that!" he said. "I just wanted to see if there was another one up the road, this one looked dingy." he lied, walking inside.
The first thing he noticed was the noise in the bar. The second thing he noticed was a group of men playing Liar's Dice.
Flint reached into his pocket, pulling out a small pouch. He sat at the table.
"Liar's Dice eh?" he said casually, and a man simply grunted.
Flint looked up, seeing a pair of guards, looking quite pale and confused, coming down the stairs.
"Right. Mind if I join?" he asked, and another man nodded.
Flint opened the small pouch, pulling out a set of dice. To show them they weren't loaded, he tossed them three times, getting a different result each time. Satisfied, the 3 others picked up their dice sets.
Flint rolled his dice under one of the cups given, lifting it slightly. Three 4s, two 2s, and a six.
"Three fours." he said. "Two ones." the first man said. "Three sixes." "Four fives." the last man said.
Each put in a small bet.
"Two twos." Flint said. "3 sixes." the first man lied. Flint decided to challenge him on that once it was his turn.
"One five." "3 ones.". Each of the 4 players raised the bet. "Oi. You." Flint said, pointing to the first man. "I challenge your sixes." he added. "You're a liar."
The man said nothing, but lifted his cup. 2 fives, a four, a two, and 2 ones.
Slamming his hand on the table, the man grabbed his dice and left. The game continued until the second man and Flint remained.
Flint noted that the game had gotten quite a crowd with the people in the bar, including the two guards. They rerolled.
3 fives, a four, and 2 sixes. Time to bluff the guy out. "4 fives." Flint said. "3 ones." the man replied. They each made a bet.
"2 sixes." Flint said. "I challenge you on that one, you dirty liar." the man said. Flint lifted his cup. Swearing, the man took his dice and left, and Flint took the bets from the table.
He got up from the table, stacking the opaque cups used for the game and brought them back to the bar, before heading upstairs.
"Oi, Mike." he called out.

As Mike reached the end of the hallway, he took a glance out of the window. So many people walking about their daily lives, not knowing about the world beyond this existance, and how to stay away from the one Mike went to. One man had a white hood on his head. Mike watched him for some reason he didn't know, and when the man looked at him, his eyes flashed red with a large psychotic smile, and suddenly Mike collapsed to his knees as a new memory flooded into his head.

"Why!" he saw himself shouting as a half-elf again. "They were necessary sacrifices." the hooded man replied. "How can you say that!?" "You wanted to find those demons. We needed to draw them here." "So you splattered their blood in the square!? You're a monster you sunnuva-" "Who's the true monster: the one who killed them, or the one who paid for their deaths?" Mike suddenly collapsed to his knees in tears. After a moment of sobs, he leapt at him and shouted, "Your blood will mix with theirs!",drawing his sword.

He was suddenly back in the inn on the floor. He leaped up and looked out the window, the hooded man walking out of view. "Not this time you b*****d." Mike said to himself. He whipped around and quickly walked down the steps. He walked past Flint as he called to him, not giving him a glance and smashed his hand into the door, nearly busting it off it's hinges. He walked around the in as he broke into a slow run. By the time he reached the end of the alley he was running at full speed. The moment he cleared the sides of the building, he heard the sound of a spell being cast.

As Mike turned a large amount of daggers flew straight towards him. Mike pulled his blade out and hacked away the daggers that were going to hit him. He managed to catch one with his left hand and leaped over the onslaught, tossing it at the hooded man. The dagger flew straight towards him and at the last possible second, his image split in two, the dagger landing between the copies. Mike looked at both of them quickly, looking at one before the other and then going back for a double-take. The men threw their arms back in sync and let out a loud, villanous laugh. Mike was in trouble now.

Ashe saw the inn that Mike and Flint walked into. She noted where the inn sat and continued to walk through the city. She did want to go in just yet so she decided to walk around a bit.
She found the artist's district. She walked through, looking at the different workshops. She came across a glass worker with wind chimes hanging in his door. She sent a small breeze through the chimes. The glass worker looked up in surprise as the chimes started to move and make noise.
Ashe smiled to herself as the chimes rang around the district. Suddenly she heard laughter. That's not the good kind of laughter, she thought to herself. It sounded like it came from near the inn. She walked through the small alley between workshops and jumped up to one of the roofs. She ran across the roofs towards the sound of the laughter and saw two men in white robes. She ran up to a building with a chimney and hid behind it. She watched as they fought someone, but who?

[I hate making every other post. *sigh* Oh well, at least we're posting still.]

"Why do I remember you!" Mike shouted. Four blue spears of light appeared, one on each side of the men, and then fired straight at Mike. He easily jumped over them and landed, charging the men with his blade. He swung his blade at one with all his might, sure he was going to hit. As the blade touched the man, the spot a few inches around the impact site disorted, and as the blade cleaved through him, the distortion followed the blade. Mike's blade slammed into the ground, carving a large gash in the stone bricks. "What the-!?" My blade went through him like he was made of air!? Both men surrounded Mike and seemed to float around him. Mike hacked at each of them, carving through one after the other, not causing any damage as each of the men laughed. Suddenly they stopped and pulled the cloak around their bodies back. There was a dagger in their hands. CRAP!!!

With lightning fast motions, their blades carved through Mike's flesh, stabbing through and carving across. Mike blocked as many blows as he could with his blade, but by the time he leaped out, his arms and torso were carved up badly. He would heal in time, but he had to surpress them until he did. The men knew this and laughed, summoning a bow of blue light and firing an onslaught of arrows at him. Mike fended off the shots with ease until one grazed his shoulder, the pain distracting him as one pierced his stomach and right lung. Burning pain suddenly engulfed his body as he realized the arrows they shot were made from holy light, albiet more evil than holy. Still, the pain was so horrible Mike nearly passed out. The men joined into one and ran up to him, grabbing his hair as he pulling his hood down and looking into Mike's face as he spoke.

"You dont remember, do you?" he said, knowing the truth all along. "You dont remember hiring me to lure the demons to a village so you could kill them. You also dont remember helping me in gaining the equipment I used to kill them." Mike's heart lit on fire as the memory flooded back. How could he have done that? Mike grabbed his blade and swung it, the man splitting into two again. Mike sweeped his foot across the ground, kicking dirt into both of their faces. They wiped their eyes, letting Mike know he had hurt him by hitting both at the same time. Mike ripped the beams out of him and threw them with all his might at the men. The beams pierced both of their hearts, and as the joined to one again, Mike rushed him and impailed the beam with his sword, shattering it and beginning the end of the man's life. "I'll see you in Hell." Mike said, and with that he pulled the sword out, the man collapsing. His body turned black, and as a small breezed kicked up, he shattered into little black fragments and floated away with the wind. He had already been dead, and just had his soul reanimated.

Mike put his sword back and fell to his knees. He was in bad shape, and couldn't change into a demon in the middle of a human city. He had to get out, but he couldn't make it to the border and would surely be stopped for his wounds. If he could only make it to the border of the forest again, he could transform and heal for a day. He quickly became light headed and as he fell to the ground, he wondered if he was going to go back to the inferno so soon.

Ashe watched as the two men fought someone. She couldn't tell who it was, but he or she was strong. The buildings around her where shaking around her. What the hell is going on?

After the fighting died down she jumped over to where the fighting was and gasped. "Mike!"
She went over to him and placed her ear over his heart. It was faint, but there. "We got to get you out of here." She threw Mike up over her shoulders and looked around. Where to go? Where to go?

Ashe jumped back up to the roofs and started to head towards the wall and the inn. She didn't know what room they had gotten, but still jumped onto a balcony of an empty room. She picked the window, slipped in, placed Mike on the bed, and locked the door and window.

She sat down next to the unconscious man and sighed. "Your safe here. But you need to see a healer, or Sorrow..."
