Wow, Mousira - Awesome list!! And Dark Natasha doesn't take active commissions..... does she? eek I've loved her art for a long time. Hrmm... I've got a happy "wishlist" in my journal with links to sites - but MOST of those are digital artists - but feel free to take a look. Her bgs are amaaazing =O But not so good with the humans? I don't have any anthros and almost all my females (with the exception of plain-jane Jade) have a certain allure about them that the humans I see on her deviant don't quite capture. But really. Those backgrounds. surprised
Edit: Oooh, I just checked out your journal! Some of the artist's in there are exactly what I was looking for! That journal entry is dated awhile ago so you probably already know but Silver Narciss doesn't take commissions, she says so in her deviantart faq cause she's too busy and doesn't feel inspired by other people's characters. I've always wanted her art too, it's a lovely style.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat with her work - I see what you mean about her females lacking the allure you're looking for. But I keep her in mind in case the day ever comes I have a character or concept that she would do well on - because, yeah, her backgrounds @_@. And her reptiles/dragons/avians.... Glad that you like the lust list I've got going there ^_~. Ah, Silver Narciss doesn't take them? Okay, I actually didn't know that. *will probably remove her* She's got fantastic stuff. She might have taken them when I made the list. I try to keep it updated even though the journal entry is old - I just edit it. Which ones are you interested in out of curiousity?

Admittedly some of those I recorded without knowing for certain if they take them or not - intended on - when I do have money and am looking for people to RL commission again to ask them. Let me know if you inquire towards some of them and what they say heart
Not sure of Jennifer Meyer's prices - I honestly wouldn't think they'd be that bad. Her stuff is really pretty, but the gaming companies she publishes for are very small, and I know don't pay THAT well. It'd be worth an ask I'd think smile
Heh, I guess let me know (Via PM - so I don't miss it ) what you hear from them/the prices of the people who don't post them heart
I need to get Wen-M art soon >>.

I really want to commission Elvire too ;_; for Kranis, cause.. she'd do an awesome Kranis. I have no money right now, though, or I'd send he a note. Her website is entierly in a different language, but my belgian friend (coincidently also the player of Kranis) says there's no commission information there. He tried contacting her, to see about getting a pic of Rethy (probably because he knows I'll spend my own money on Kranis pics... that b*****d), but I don't believe she's gotten back to him at all.

The only reason I have Wen-M art is because he took $10 felt-tip pen commissions at AX. He was so awesome XD
I just sent a note to Elvire, hopefully she'll get back to me and I'll send an email to Jessica Meyer sometime soon as well. I'll let you know if I get any responses (and you too for Elvire, Anetra) and if I encounter any artists that seem like your style, I'll send the links as well. I've found so many amazing anthro artists while searching for traditional artists this past week. I didn't save them because I don't have any anthros XD but if I find anymore, I'll link you.

Mekania I was having a conversation with Jaded and I decided to see how many of my commissions are real money versus gaian. And there really is no point in this post but I was just curious about everyone elses. So how much of your collection is real money and how much is gaian (including contests)? And then a seperate catagory for freebies and gift art. Whee... I needed to begin organizing my Files anyhow. So this should be a good system. 27 Art Trades 02 Awards 01 Contest 50 Gaia Commissions 45 Gifts 08 RL Commissions and One Song. ^-^ Hopefully the contest one will be going up soonish. I also have 2 pieces of art done 'for me' where people didn't pay attention to the fact that the characters they drew were my friend's characters... Sabin posted the link about MarieCannabis who's really good at reptiles, you should check her out! I'll still keep an eye out for you though.
Elvire still hasn't sent me a response and neither has a few other really talented artists I've been looking into. I know people are busy and stuff but if you can read it is it really that hard to respond with a "No, sorry!" or something like that? It takes a lot of courage (I'm shy >>; ) for me to even ask and I do it as politely as possible and then I don't get a reply.

Yeah, I saw that one, it was really nice. I've been meaning to link her to it, but she wasn't on MSN yesterday ^_^;;;
Aww sad Maybe she doesn't understand english well..? I don't know. I sent her a note on dA a while ago asking her if she would mind if I coloured one of her pictures (the one with the elf-looking guy with the fish looks a LOT like Kranis) to use as a portrait in NWN (specifically no other purpose).. she never got back to me on that, so I figured it might have been an "Aurgh why do people send me these stupid notes, I don't care if you colour it >.<;;" type of thing.
But if she hasn't gotten back to you, maybe not. I'll ask frac if she ever replied to her.. he woudln't have sent her a note on dA (no DA account that I know of), and he may not have sent it in english.

Yes, I agree with you - there's nothing more frustrating than just plain not hearing back from someone. I MUCH prefer a "no, sorry" than ... nothing.... because I don't know if I should set aside money for them, etc.
Anetra - yus, DEFINATLEY Check out Marie Cannabis - her stuff with reptiles is FANTASTIC. Best I've seen. She usually has ebay auctions up as well for commissions, or just plain email her. She seems to take them very often.

It could be possible that she doesn't understand english well but she does write her entries and stuff in english and all I said (because her journals are in relatively good english, just a few things are out of place/pluralized and such so I kept it brief) was that I was wondering if she took commissions and that I couldn't find any information on her site or her journal. I hope I'm not disturbing you, or I wasn't supposed to note you, etc etc. But even with that, she could have responded with a "I can't understand english well. Could you simplify?"
I'm not being totally bitchy about this am I? I can take being turned away, I just don't like being..brushed off completely?
Thank you for returning the favor Sabin, I appreciate it as well. I have to make some battle diagrams for my Legend of King Arthur class tonight so I'm probably not going to continue my search until tomorrow. I have three names on my list so far XD and two of them I've already commissioned repeatedly. (Jaded and Kirtat)
