The girl looked up suddenly, as if startled to be caught talking to no one in particular. After a small pause, she simply nodded to Aleda.
"If you've been traving this world for any period of time, then you must have figured out by now that there are some strange possibilities." A smile touched her face for a brief moment. "I like to believe that anything's possible, really." She looked around at the group. "And you're a very "motley crew," to use the old cliche. Now, why would such an odd group be traveling together?"
((I've noticed that we've been missing several main characters. Right now, it looks like we have... Zelos. Yup. I can take a few on if people want me to...))

"Intersting." muttered Kratos. "A wolf-girl. We need to hurry and get out of here. Who knows when he'll return..." Kratos turned around and headed for the gate.

The strange girl cocked her head to the side in a way oddly reminiscent of Kratos' patented "confused" look. "I'm called Ria. Ah... it's nice to meet you... Aleda," she said with a small frown, as though trying to remember the proper reply. Then she slipped into a conspiritorial whisper.
"Who's Mr. Calm-and-Rational? He's got the whole "leader/Alpha male" thing going on. It's in his voice. He's odd. Smells... human... but... Too many strange scents on him. He smells of... spice...and.... clear stream water and... something more pure and bright... like the afterscent of magic...And faintly of blood. Old blood. All washed away, but the scent never really fades, you know? My brother taught me that you can tell a lot about a person by their scent."

Kratos looked at the wolf and had the same expression on his face that he had before they boarded the washtubs and raine screamed. Something that didn't happen often.

Seeing this odd expression, the wolf-girl grinned mischeviously. She liked observing the reactions of people. "What?" She queried innocently.

Shinto fell to his knees, burying his head in his hands. The entire situation was just too much, he knew what Kratos had said about hate was right, but he still couldn't help but feel anger. He grabbed at his hair, frustrated. "I... I just can't go on like this...."

Kratos turned around and bent down next to Shinto. "Get over yourself. I know i'm being harsh. But get over it. Shinto, Genis and Raine hated being half-elves. Did they ever break down like this? THey went through things hundreds of times worse. You are lucky. We need to proceed to the Tree. Let's go." Kratos turned and left Meltokio.

Corrine groaned as she opened her eyes. She realized she was laying on the ground, for all she could see was the sky. She slowly sat up and looked around. "Where am I?' SHe could see a little tree not to far away from her. "Huh?"

Sha let out a sigh as he walked over to Kratos. "Has anyone seen Corrine?"
"You lost her?" Lady Desuxis screeched.
Sha cringed as he heard Asreil yell in his ear, thankfully no one else could hear.

"I thought she was with you?" Kratos said. "This is very bad. The Desuxis want her. We need to get to The Tree now." Kratos's wings broke from his back and he teleported the group to the Tree.
