Iori saw Scarlets trying to get a cab outside and thought to himself, where the hell is she going.

He got up from the bar quickly and knocked over the stool and said

"I'm following her, there is no reason for her to be leaving right now. Plus something attacked me before it just left too it had the perfect opportunity to kill me, but it left. Something is wrong and I'm gonna figure it out.
You can follow if you like, but don't get too close you might get burned."

Iori walked out the door with his dog and flagged down a cap

Izzy kept thinking. She had to think of something to help them.
Dieing wasn't an option, and puting Ryn and Nendir in danger wasn't either.
After awhile she could think of one solution.
Run. Run and hide or hide and run.
She didn't want to, but she couldn't deny it. If she stayed with them, she would just become an easy target, and one of them would probably try to protect her, and possibly end up getting killed, and she wanted nothing like that happening to any of them.
So from that she formulated her plan, but she'd wait alittle while longer before she set her plan into action.
Giving herself a chance to second guess her thoughts for, she wasn't quite to sure of them herself.

Amati spied the hand and snarled almost immeadiently. He leapt away from the outstretched hand and toward an extremely clueless Sakeri. She looked at the two of them with wide-set eyes and a blank facade.

"Wha..." she inquired, her jaw hanging wide open. Suddenly, a strange hole appeared before her, leaving her gaping at his capabilities. The two just seemed to be yelling and trying to leave, to what she believed was a place, the gods wanted destroyed.

"Pentagon?" she continued stupidly, waiting for them to tell her the actual instructions. She knew it had something to do with te Pentagon, but what else? Sakeri knew she had to keep up the facade.

Ryn walked slowly towards the Pentagon, still over a mile away from it at his guess. His claws clicked as he walked, and he ruffled his wings in agitation.

They were constantly going from place to place at random. This could not be very good for Izzy, and was she really any good in combat? Maybe when they got to the Pentagon and explained things he could ask for some of their forces to protect her, perhaps even arm her.

He sighed, and then he saw it. Another portal, this one with the scent of the gods upon it. He hissed, turning to Nendir and Izzy and saying,"I think we are already to late.... They are arriving."

The sound of pneumatic pumping was heard striding over the roof top, a gray figure garbed in a trench coat and wide brim descended from the top and landed with a tremendous impact on the concrete near Iori. It held up its "hands" which sprang out into three pronged claws and sprayed a jet of flame at him.

Ruko sensed almost immiedietly that the other girl had not gotten the message and she light the lighter in her hand and moved into a fighting stance ready to attack "You do know what we are talking about right?" 'If she does not know i will have to kill her but.. what about the other one... he seems to be in league with her...'

Kin sighed and grumbled in contempt as Amati snarled at him, looking at the wolf in a daunting fasion. At hearing Sakeri's high-toned spoken word of the pentagon, he was almost convinced without having to take a peak at her thoughts that she was in the same page as he was, not very interested with the humans so far, and hungry for some more interesting prey. "Still," he placed his right hand over his cheek as he began to think, and right at that moment, his stomach droned, disappointing him to the point of having to switch gears of thoughts, "I am hungry. I might as well enjoy myself with the humans for a while... What do you think, Ruk? Uh..." A puzzled look came over his face. He tilted his head as he watched the cute little anger put on some kind of unfitting stance on her, "What are you doing? You CAN fly, can't you? The skies are perfect if we're to attack..."

Sakeri's blank face grew stern with the sudden interrogation that had been thrust upon her.

"I don't owe you anything," she said quietly. Amati's neck cracked as he padded next to her, sensing the hostility coming from the girl. He stood strong as gray wisps began swirling around the duo. Claws began to form around her fingertips and a her face grew colder with each passing second. "I don't have time for your doubts, Girl. Just tell me what the gods want killed." Her skilled hand fingered the curved blade that lay inside her pocket, ready for any sign of attack.

Edger gazed into the sky... the sky pour demons like blood, and no help was arriving. Edger sighed, this was all he could do. He needed to go home. A wave of his hand and trasported back to hsi apartment where he sat on his bed and cried. So many lives lost...why could he have done more. He beat his head on his desk and sreamed...screamed for the innocent.

OOC: Meh, no good ideas over here either...

[[Book can turn on the tv and then see the reports on the explosion at the white house. He can then join up with the human/defener faction and join with the rest of the defenders later on. Hopefully, we can get some human soldiers to use.]]

The wisps of gray smoke dissapated as soon as her opponent took off without a second thought, and she let out a low breath. Amati relaxed soon after and looked up at her.

"You ready?" he inquired quietly. Her head hung low as her head shook sadly.

"I still have no idea what the gods expect from us," she said quietly, looking to Kin. "Do they really just us to destroy a building? How is this going to bring the termination of mankind any quicker?" But, he seemed rather impatient, so she refused to say another word and stepped into the portal instead.

((You know, I hate to say it, but I don't think Jewel is gonna be back soon enough, so I'll blaze my own way to the Pentagon.))

Sitting on a sofa in a "borrowed" apartment (physically ripping the lock out hadn't been hard at all), Mark stared at the TV, listening to the news. It was good news, too. Sightings of UFOs, gently spattered over the east section of the nation called "United States of America." The bad news was that he could see where the cannons were mounted on the Vipers, even in the dark... and judging by their position, it had been the Feds who had gotten to him first, not his friends. Hopefully no space battle would occur, because he didn't want to see anybody else down on the surface of this planet. One space invader was bad enough. Thousands... well, he didn't even know what his men would do when they landed on a backwater system like this.

Then something flashed on. The White House (clearly important) was being crushed. By plants. It took him a while, but he finally understood: one of the three branches of their government resided within the White House, and he had been killed. Nothing he nor any of the other Phoenixes could do would cause plants to grow like that. Something else was involved. Other strange things were going on, too. A mine had exploded, raining rubbled on the town and killing almost everyone within. That didn't seem to have been natural either, although the government pinned it on an explosives accident.

If anybody knows how to handle explosives, it's miners, was all that Mark could think. Furthermore, strange sightings had continued. On the map, they all led to one place: the Pentagon, another government building, probably the workplace of military leaders and the such. If they lose their President, and then they lose the rest of their government... I saw airborne transportation. Compression jets. They'll be fast enough, if I can get one fancy enough. I wouldn't want to end up on a passenger jet...

In a matter of minutes, Mark had both hunted down the airport and "acquired" a jet.

"Sorry, sir, but this is government business," he informed the pilot of the Learjet. "We have our own ways of doing things," he finished before climbing into an entirely unfamiliar cockpit. At least the throttle and stick were the same. He could even spot flaps and gear, and hopefully that would be all that he needed.

((Uh... I thought they swear in a new president the moment the poresident dies. As for Saki... hehe, I wasn't planning on leading the portal on land but your post would do, if you don't mind. rofl ))

But the grass iitself whirled around Sakeri like stirred pudding, the reality blending into itself. In an instant, she could feel the aweful sensation of falling, the frightful inward push down to the stomach. Her surroundings that melted into some strange mix washed away, revealing the puffy white cloads and the bright blue sky. The warmth of the sun could be felt from behind and the chilly wind pushed ferociously from below, making it hard for the eyes to open up to see, yet everything was oddly refreshed by the small and cool droplets of water everytime they passed through the clouds. "Sky diving is fun!" Kin spoke in a loud voice, his entire attire changed into that of a plane pilot from the '40's, and gazed happily through his goggles, laughing. He wore a parachute pack behind him, ready to open whenever, though there didn't seem to be such equipment on Sakeri or Amati. They some tens of thousands of feet above sea level, and below them was the familiar pentagon-shaped building.

((It would be god moding to control how Rukp would fly, so I'll leave that to you, Duke.))

[[Neh... you're suppose to go with the flow. gonk I'm not in the business of making my character indestructable. Go on without me. I'm either going to die or have an excessively long recovery. I haven't decided yet... cry It's so illogical for her to survive such a fall.]]

Sakeri and Amati traveled through the portal only to find themselves falling through thin air. She gasped as the air rush past her, and fear began to fill her lungs. Her mind was a mixed world of emotions as the two began to plung to their deaths. Everything had been blown out of her mind, everything but Amati. Tears as she turned to face him, extending her hand toward him. There was only one option.

If I'm going to die, a voice rang in her head. I want to die with you.

Sakeri looked at the wolf in shock. She didn't know that they could speak telepathically. A curved dagger began to float out of her pocket, and her eyes widen with horror as she reached for it. In an instant, Amati had somehow closed the distance between the two, grabbing the dagger in the process. Sakeri secured her small arms around the canine, tears flying as the gray wisps began to form around the two.

Soon the wisps of smoke grew into a tornado of sort, swirling the two in a midst of grey. Seconds later lone girl flew out of it. Her long black hair adorned with two wolfish ears, blew behind her. She gazed down toward the ground emotionlessly, gripping a red and blue jacket until her knuckles turned white. This girl... was ready to die.
