Two weeks ago actually, and we'll miss her presence. She couldn't hatch chicks, but she was the best 'grandmother' a chick could have. She routinely took on 7-10 orphaned chicks, or helped occupied parents. At one point, she had 14 chicks under her wing (literately) and even as nugget sized things she looked like a bowling ball with 20 legs.

If there was any meat left, I'm sure we'd have gotten to that point. We actually found her flattened out with her head under one wing so we're waiting for the ground to soften up so we can bury her. I wouldn't be surprised if there's chunks missing, as she's been put in a shed with a history of mice and snakes.
