The boy and his pokemon sped off after Sammy and company.

Adam took off after Sammy, His Flygon catching up along with the Skarmory and Pidgeot. "So do we get to play sheriff? I left my hat at the base..."

Comet then Yelled "HEY LOOK OUT!"

Memo and Catelynn both exchanged curious looks as they heard the thunder of hooves.
"My my. What have we here?"

"Ole!" Adam called, hopping down from Blitz's back, Loki still on his shoulder. "You know, sneaking towards stampedes is generally considered ill-advised." He noted, Moving towards the group of Ponyta riders.

Sammy approached one of the poachers, Arthur by her side. “Stop, thief!” she yelled, pointing at the accused in an accusing manner. “Why, sweet thing?” He grinned, getting off of his high horse or, in this case, high Ponyta. “I’ll whip your tush, that’s why,” she growled. Arthur stepped forward, obviously her fighter-of-choice. “Alright, then… Ponyta! Fight!” He commanded, whipping his pokemon from behind. The creature whinnied, bucking its front legs. The Ponyta released an ember, catching the ground at Arthur’s feet on fire. He stamped it out easily, but at the cost of having some fairly burned feet. He scraped his feet against the ground, getting ready and then racing forward with a Headbutt. He hit right on the Ponyta’s chest, making the foe neigh angrily. It retaliated by stomping on Arthur’s back, making him cry out in pain. He was too weak for that. “Return!” Sammy shouted, immediately bringing a pokeball out and taking Arthur back. “Grrr… Go, Squirt!” she called, releasing her little Squirtle. He, seeing his opponent, wasn’t too intimidated and used a Water Gun. The Ponyta fainted almost instantly.

The Poacher returned his pokemon, and Squirt moved up to Sammy’s shoulder so she could release her next friend. “Numel!” The poacher called, releasing the tiny fire pokemon. “Quinto!” Her shiny Sneasel friend seemingly released himself; Sammy hadn’t even touched the pokeball. “Faint Attack!” Sammy called. Quinto raced forward, a dark aura surrounding him, and rammed into Numel’s side with the purpose of fainting it. Although it didn’t faint, it seemed to be pretty dizzied from the ordeal. It retaliated with Ember, doing Super Effective damage! Quinto staggered backwards, gasping for breath after nearly melting. Quinto retaliated by using his claws to Slash across Numel’s face, sending the pokemon flying backwards. It didn’t stand back up. “Drat! I would’ve gotten away with it if it weren’t for you meddling kids! And your little brats, too!” he shouted, running off.

“Cliched,” she muttered simply, returning to the scene of the crime.

Adam stepped up to one of the poachers Ponyta's, 'A-hem'ing to get his attention. "Are you aware that every year, Meowth's across Johto die from Scurvy? That's right, and for just- YEESH!" Adam was cut off as the Ponyta was ordered to Stomp down. "Not a cat person I see, Blitz, yer up!"

The Ponyta reared again, shooting a small flame at the Ground-Dragon, doing hardly any damage as the Flygon ripped rocks from the ground and hurled them at the Ponyta, cutting into it's HP. The Ponyta tried another Stomp attack, landing on Blitz's tail and doing moderate damage. Blitz attacked again, Zooming in and finishing the Foe's Ponyta off with a Arial Ace.

The Poacher sent out another pokemon, a Houndoom. Blitz pounded the ground with a fist, sending an Earthquake rippling into the fire dog, who was thrown into the air. As the dog landed, it spun, cutting across Blitz with a Iron Tail. "Good work Blitz, Go Loki!" He called, his Eevee finishing the Dog with Return.

Adam walked over to where Sammy stood. "So what are we lookin at here?"
