(( XP I'm sick of waiting for Shiro. The Iri is RPing her way out of being frozen! I'll be around for a little while to greet your new character, Hunter, if you're still around. ))
Not getting a response from the stranger, Iri shrugs and turns away. The bag containing her possessions get hoisted on her shoulder. From there, she steps off the roof to gently glide to the ground. Once feet and ground are reunited, she deposits her bag on the porch and takes a seat. Maybe she'll practice her kaze techniques until someone shows up for a little fun.

*Kirua got through the forest and out onto the clearing, he could see a dojo from afar, and he walked towards it. As he got clearer he saw a woman glide off the roof and sit down on the porch*
Wow, how could she do that? Granp's was right when he said these people were amazing!
*Not wanting to look ignorant, he tried to keep his composure as best he could. He was carrying a bag over his left shoulder and a kodachi to his right*

(( I apologize if my responses are rather slow. I'm in the middle of something else, too. ))
If one can see, then one can be seen, and so Iri notices yet another stranger. She gets back to her feet to get a better look at him. One large white wing comes up to shield her eyes from the sun. If she can be sure of anything, it's that she hasn't seen this one before.
A new student maybe?
Iri doesn't approach him. Instead, she waits there on the steps of the porch, allowing him to get close enough to speak with.

*Kirua got closer to the dojo, and stopped right about 20 feet away from the 'gliding girl', he raised his right hand slightly in what seemed like a friendly gesture*
H..Hi! I...uh...Is this the academy? Because, I was sent here by my grandfather...to...to study. Well if you'll accept me of course. And uh, oh right. I almost forgot, my name's Kirua...Kirua Myojin! Nice to meet you. biggrin
*He smiled, but obviously he wasn't comfortable. He usually wasn't intimated by other people but this time it was different, and he couldn't go home empty handed*

Iri gives her head that curious bird tilt. A new student, just as she thought. Awesome!
Both wings fold to the young woman's back and she strides up to Kirua. When she gets close enough, she extends her hand in her own friendly greeting. A lopsided, pleasant grin dominates her features. "Yup, this is an academy, alright. And you were sent here to study? That's good to hear! My name's Irianna Gale, but I prefer to go by 'Iri'. Pleasure to meet you, too!"

Yes, I came here to study. I grew up in a modest village of farmers. All they could teach me were the basics in kenpo and kodachi, but my father wanted more for me so he sent me out here.
*He nodded towards his crude kodachi. His face showed no more signs of stress or apprehension*

He's starting to loosen up. That's good. Getting used to this place will be a little easier for him if he's not so tense.
Iri's grin widens a little. "Ah, I see. Well, you've certainly come to the right place. But, eh..." The winged woman looks around, one eyebrow raised. "I haven't spoken to any of the instructors in quite a while. I'm just a student myself, so I'm not really qualified to get you situated here. This place has been next to a ghost town as of late."

..oh....Ohh...
*You could hear a slight hint of disappointment in his voice. He checked his pocket to see how much money he had left.*
Well then...Would you know of a place where I could stay for the night? I'd come back for the next few days until I meet one of your instructors. 3nodding

Violet eyes soften in sympathy. "Now don't look like that. I know how it is to go without an instructor. For a long time, I took it upon myself to create and practice techniques for my element, until the ijutsu instructor took me under her wing for some real lessons. Now, as far as a place to stay," Iri turns sideways and points at the doors to the dojo, one wind extending in that direction for emphasis. "You can sleep on one of the couches that line the main room. Or if you prefer privacy, I'm sure no one would mind if you found yourself an unoccupied dorm room."

*Kirua, who was used to sleeping in the barn, looking up at the sky through the door decided he'd sleep on one of the couches*
A couch will do just fine, thank you! smile
*So far, he had tried not to stare at them, but this time around, Kirua couldn't keep himself from examining the wings for a few seconds*

Iri gives a wing shrug and puts her hands behind her head. "Whatever you're comfortable with." Her keen eyes trace the direction of his gaze. She grins again. "Never seen a person with wings before? They're fully functional, too. It doesn't take an ounce of chakra for me to fly free."

*Kirua blinked a few times, not sure how to react*
No, never seen anyone with them wings before. Looks...cool though. Probably quite practical as well. And uh...chakra? I think my father mentionned something about that one day...but I didn't get it to say the least... sweatdrop
