Akia followed him, quite for a few minutes, and then asked, while they were walking to the palace, "U-Um...do you live here?" she said, looking at the palace.

"Me? Oh no, a women was kind enough to mend me from the brink of death as she sheltered me in this palace. I think she would let you stay if I asked her nicely..." Azurite responed as they both walked up to the palace door and then he opened the door for her.

Inside the palace, Xetrina had slipped out of the royal chambers, and walked to her resting pool in the center of the palace. "It's been so long..." She said as the pool filled with slightly watered down blood. Once it was full, she removed all but her underwear, which was black as a raven's feathers, and slipped into the pool, sinking as her heart stopped beating, and her lungs stopped breathing. Her fangs, normally shortened, returned to their full length, allowing her to partake of the blood within the pool.
((A quick note... all areas of the palace connect to the resting pool's room, providing easy access throughout the palace. Due to the nature of the areas, that is the only way for you two to travel throughout the palace))

"O-Oh...wow...that's very nice of her...I hope I'm not a burden..." she said sheepishly as she waited behind him, Kioni was ruffling his feathers up, looking distressed...

"I don't think you are a burden at all..." He said shyly as he kept the door opened for her thinking I hope Xetrina wouldn't mind... as he looked down abit

Akia walked into the palace...a little nervous and then waited for Azurite...not wanting to go any farther without guidance...Kioni was hissing...he had smelt blood...Akia turned to him..."Kioni...come now...it's alright..." but Kioni refused to stop...his feathers very ruffled and his eyes were fierce with golden eyes glowing...Akia was a little startled by how upset he was...

Azurite walked in after her as he closed the door quietly then walked ahead as he led the way to the pool where it smelt more like blood the closer we got. He then saw Xetrina relaxing in a pool of blood and immediatly thought she was bleeding to death so he ran in and tried to walk her up as he held onto her shoulders asking in abit of a panic "Miss? Miss, what's going on? Is this your blood?"

Akia stood back startled...not knowing what to do...Kioni screeched in a piercingly high tone and flew off her shoulder, turning into a giant flaming phoenix, hovering over Akia...Akia looked up at Kioni..."Kioni! What's wrong, calm down!!" she said in a startled and confused tone and the site of so much blood was making her very faint, the smell of blood was so strong to her...she began to wobble...

"Don't move... Something's here that shouldn't be..." Xetrina suddenly shot out of the water, nothing but a blur, and pinned a Kalm Fang to the wall. "Naughty naughty... You should know better than to tresspass... Cruentus Nox Noctis" She said, as darkness wrapped around the beast, and crushed the life from it, practically juicing the blood from it's body. "I'm sorry you had to see that... Sometimes the beasts that make it into Midgar try to hide within my palace. What they don't know, is that those that aren't welcome, end up as sacrifices to sustain my blood supply. In a way, the blood in that pool is mine. But only because it is collected for me." Looking up, she saw the phoenix, and then the woman. She spoke, directly to the phoenix, in a mystical langauge. 'Calm yourself. You are among friends here.' Looking back to Azurite, she asked, "Who's your queasy friend?"

Akia watched Kioni suddenly calm down and land on her solders a faint flame still left in his eyes...but other wise...he was just watchful...as if he still wanted to keep an eye out...Akia tried not to seem weak..."I'm Akia...and this is Kioni..." she said petting her phoenix companion as he cooed affecctionately, she then said "and you must be the owner of this palace?"

"I just met her awhile ago and it looks like she doesn't have a place to stay... is it okay if she stays here?" He asked as he climbed out of the pool with the watered down blood dripping off of him near the edge standing near Akia.

"It's fine, though she has to choose the Fire Wing, or the Neutral Wing, if she wishes to stay with the phoenix. It's not allowed in any other wing, as it would upset balance in the other five wings." Xetrina motioned to 5 of the doorways, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, and Darkness, each one guarded by a spirit of it's element, and each corridor resembling the element it's attuned to.

"Um...I want Kioni to be comfortable in the area too..so...I'll use the Fire Wing Room...if that's alright m'am" she asked politely and tried not to look at Azurite...the blood all over him and the smell so close...was almost unbearable for her...she hadn't ever seen so much blood...since...since...she winced...trying to block out the nightmarish memories of her family's fateful last day on earth...

"I'll go wash myself off." Azurite said as he headed for my room upstairs and when he got there he went into the bathroom and took a quick shower to get the blood off of me and my clothes. When he was finished he did the best he could to dry himself off then later after pacing around he sat down in a chair which was in the corner of the room and wondered if he was finally free.
