I'm so satisfied with Snake and Sonic that I could deal without any more third-party characters. It wouldn't hurt, but Sonic is just so awesome that I really don't mind at all. Quoted for truth! QFE. I know most will disagree with me but I'm not really excited for Sonic in Brawl. Hell, I didn't even want to see him in the game. And about the more 3rd party characters? I believe that Sakurai said in an interview about Sonic in Brawl a while back that there would be room for about 2 more 3rd party characters. So i would be expecting one more 3rd party member to join the fray. The top of my list? Ryu from Street Figher II. HADOKEN!!! Difference of opinions. Sonic looks bad a** in the trailers.
He said 1-2 at most aside from Snake. We could not get any more 3rd party characters. I figure we'll find out in the next week. Sonic and Snake's updates were both this month, so I think we'll get the last non-Nintendo smasher this month.
@ Allegro: No worries. Now they've got one less thing to b***h about. I agree to the fact that Sonic looks pretty fun to play as in the trailer (I am most relieved that is moves revolve around the old school sonic and not the horrible new school one). Although there are definitely better and much cooler chars than sonic, like Crono, or Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden which is possible considering the first Ninja Gaiden game was on the NES.

Someone, (Fish I believe) said it looks similar to the first SSB's, but I still want to see it, and my computer hasn't been loading videos properly lately.
It would be appreciated. heart
Also, I'm wondering what Sonic's victory music is going to be. has ayone heard it? Sadly, I don't have a screenshot, and am unable to take them as far as i know, so I can't help you there.
Every video with Sonic in it cuts out before the end, or he loses. The ones I've seen anyway.
I tried to load a video, a ranom one at that, and it loads! It was even the one I wanted to see. I'm not sure if I like the victory screen. Seems plain. Even more than the SSBM one, which is just solid black.

Fanboyism is the most powerful thing in the universe next to duct tape, the comp in the vid lessened my worries on sonic being overpowered, and isn't making the far stretch suggestion a part of fanboyism? even if the person stating it knows of the impossibilities?

By that I mean the people just stood there in the trailers and stuff. So far it looks pretty easy to counter, just jump and do a high priority aerial attack, so that he is forced to get hit or evade you. And by "Thunder," are you referring to Pikachu or what? Cause both Pikachu and Pichu's Thunder attacks are far from overpowered.

Sonic, learned Super Sonic first, then Shadow learned. Goku and Vegeta were/are rivals, and it's the same with Sonic and Shadow! I'll show the video later.

and to say something about Wizard of light1 saying Capcom having less a chance then sonic? Capcom has made every single Zelda hand held save phantom hourglass, RE4 was a cube exclusive for quite some time, they continue to make mega man games for the DS, and hey made even more RE games for Nintendo with the RE remake and umbrella chronicles on the way. with relations between the two companies looking good, if I had to name the company the next 3rd party char is from, I would have to say Capcom. The new Char being either Mega Man or Ryu
