I'd honestly like to see some warfare between the Surface Elves and the Drow.
Some real confrontation between those mortal enemies beyond the scale of raiding parties would be nice.
Maybe not open war, but some intrigue going in that direction would be a nice change of pace...
Lolth was, insofar as I remember, portrayed as weak in the Smedman version.
Well, maybe not quite weak, but at very least her insane level of chaos was shown as a flaw instead of her characteristic as a deity.

In light of Eilistraee's death, I'm switching follow Lolth.
Not quite yet, though, since I haven't read the book myself. X3
I'll deal with Factions and cities after that, lol.

Quenthal but the drow do need conflict...what else are they going to do with their free time? Sister is right. It's a matter of brain chemistry and synapses. It's simply our psychological build. The drow brain is made for this... there's room for psychobabble, even in a fantasy setting! xd Even now, I'm looking for something to antagonize. xp To Sanctuary: I wonder how Quarval'sharess feels about being second choice. lol (and I heart Rylinndar, by the by, I am new to the house and am having a blast.)

Such a psychological outlook is probably what makes the Spider Queen pay the drow so much attention.
That itching for conflict keeps the race chaotic.

And yes, female nightshadows. I play one in Au'shinduago now (Kal'Daka of the Shadow Guard). She aint the sharpest tool in the shed, but she's by NO means submissive.
