Confused and surprised at the same time that Sephiroth seemed to shrug off her past actions, she cautiously walked closer, nodding. "Oh... of course. Thank you..."

Alice folded her hands in front of her, following Sephiroth into the kitchen. She sighed, finding it hard to be serious when the mood was so light. "I wanted to apologize, Sephiroth."

"Mmh? For what?" He placed the kettle on the stove and dropped a couple of tea bags into the water before turning the stove on.

Seph pulled the kettle off the stove as it whistled and poured two mugs. He sat down across from her. He was silent for a few moments, then leaned back, taking a deep breath and a sip of his tea.
"If you can't pick a side, then don't. Nobody is forcing you to." He shrugged a bit. "We all do stupid things in our lives, Alice. I'm not holding mistakes against anyone. They've been made, it's passed."

"Then... you're not mad anymore...?" Alice looked up at him, again, surprised. No matter what, she was with Orochimaru. He was taking absolutely no precautions. It unnerved her a bit.

What she didn't know was, he'd already felt her chakra signature, and had made precautions before hand. He hadn't shown his face for this long for a reason.

You didn't do the research, you didn't listen to the people who called you family. The people that know Orochimaru. I can't go against my own beliefs and stand by you in your choice, but you had the right to make it." He took another sip.
"Just remember: If our paths cross as enemies, I'll show no mercy. I'd expect the same from you. This is good tea."

Alice waited for him to finish, cracking a smile to the last thing he said. "You never changed..." With a deep sigh, she looked back up to Sephiroth, biting her lip for a long moment before making her mind up. "Sephiroth... I'm sorry for letting you down. I really am. I hate staying at Orochimaru's place. Everything is harsher... I... I want to come back..." Her gripped her hands together tight, bowing her head again as she finished. Her voice was quieter as if cautious in case someone overheard. "Please..."
