Devil May Cry isn't remotely associated with Nintendo, though. >>;

That's my point. if wh were to get more and more chaacters from other gaming companies, then it would be too much and wouldn't be a real Nintendo game anymore stare . But wait.....this could work out towards a mutuall friendship with all the gaming companies, and taking all the greatest games from everywhere and putting them all at one place under several leaders! Psssh! Ya right. Al the greatest games are already under one company's control! Nintendo You have to watch This! It is a Super Smash Video.. (And when you watch it, please tell me what is the name of the game that they showed Sonic in)

Look at Samus's damage, it's only 41%. In melee, meteor smashes didn't start having that downward power until higher percentages. Plus they might have made Samus more heavy now that there is Zamus.

Plus they might have made Samus more heavy now that there is Zamus. That ain't a meteor smash, that's a footstool jump. Mario doesn't use any attack whatsoever, he just jumps offa Samus. All footstool jumps have a slight kickdown effect, but do no damage.

Does it really look like a jump? If anyone were to be playing that, they would have been smarter on it and used an attack button, maybe a grab? Edit: And can someone answer my question?

Its the only explanation why Samus didn't take any damage, why Mario got launched in the air, and why Samus was knocked into the ground.

On smashbros, it says that they can be used to perform meteor smashes. It might not always be slight, and if all of them are meteor smashes, then I would assume this is the case.

I don't think that they fly as far with the same amount of percentage in Brawl, anyway. Footstool jumps probably just push them down enough to make them fall.

I'm pretty sure that the footstool jump will not be used as a mainstream meteor smash edge guard. My thinking is that all footstool jumps have only a slight (slow knockdown) effect - reason being that all footstool jumps are easily performable since they don't take time to "charge" like normal Meteor smashes do. (Exceptions are in melee, like falco maybe? But the majority of meteor smashes do take a second to charge.) If footstool jumps are variable in strength, there may be a bit of a problem concerning edge-guarding with two skilled players.

Meta_Fish I think the character should have at least appeared on a Nintendo system at one point. Yeah, this is my thinking as well. We could see assist trophies from a Devil may Cry, but unless Ninty decides to announce that Devil May Cry is coming to the Wii IN BRAWL, I'm tending to lean towards the Squeenix contribution angle. Chrono makes the most sense to me at the present stage. ALthough the fact that so many Capcom composers may mean that we could see Mega Man.

Of any Capcom characters, Megaman has the most right to be in it. Although I fear it may not be Megaman Classic, but Megaman EXE. Who knows.

I really dunno if we'll be getting any more third party characters, to be honest.
