Where'd Christian go??
Gen IV Mystery Gift.
Mystery Gift can only be activated at the Jubilife City TV station in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. In the station, there is an interviewer on the third floor who will activate the Mystery Gift function if players answer his questions with the correct keywords shown below (again, based on the language of the game). However, if the player receives a Wonder Card via a Nintendo Event or a Pokémon game, Mystery Gift would be activated whether or not the player has done so beforehand.
In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Mystery Gift is automatically unlocked after starting a New Game and saving. Unlike the first three games of the Generation, it is the fourth option seen after pressing Start at the title screen. This is because an option for connecting to the PokéWalker is added after the New Game option.
In this generation, Mystery Gift can be used to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Ranger, Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia or receive items and Pokémon from Pokémon Battle Revolution. Players are able to receive gifts wirelessly, from the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or from a friend. The Mystery Gift feature will only allow a specific gift to be received once. As a result, a player can only get one of each item and Pokémon from the said games and also only one of Pokémon from the Events. Gifts are sent with a Wonder Card, which players can store up to three of. This is why players should choose to discard used Wonder Cards so that they will have no more than two cards before receiving another Mystery Gift.

LOL. Um...
In Generation III, Mystery Gift's primary use is to receive special items at Nintendo events. It is language dependent, so players will not be able to receive items with a foreign copy of the game. A link cable or wireless adaptor must be used.

Ice_Wolf_Demon I caught Shaymin the day the event started with a single Quick Ball. >< You caught it, but are the stats any good? With 31 Speed IVs, a Timid Shaymin (Sky Forme) can outrun any Weavile. (Barring a Scarf or prior Agility). Have a taste of Seed Flare! Edit: American FR/LG Phrase: Link Together With All. Fill out the questionaire in a Pokemon Mart. R/S Phrase: Mystery Event Is Exciting. I want to say it's the guy near the PC in Petalburg's Pokemon Center. Not sure about Emerald. If you try the R/S phrase in FR/LG, you get a fun message about it, but it won't unlock anything.

If you have Platinum and Wi-Fi, and know the phrases to activate Mystery Gift, you can get Oak's Letter. Once you have it, just go to Route 224. Shaymin is level 30, so keep that in mind.
With either the previous event's Shaymin - or the one caught in Platinum using Oak's Letter - in your party, go to Floaroma Town. I think it has to be during the day. One of the people outside has the Gracidea Flower.
And Psypokes has a good IV calculator, if you're curious. Also, you can get an estimate for a pokemon's IVs by taking it to the man near the Battle Tower's PC. He'll tell you the pokemon's overall potential and how good its best stat is. (In a tie, the best stat is picked randomly each time) Overall: Outstanding > Relatively Superior > Above Average > Decent Stat: Can't be better > Fantastic > Very Good > Rather Decent

I would do class, but I'm feeling a bit sick and I'm being overwhelmed by my new phone. It tried to kill me twice already.
I knew I shouldn't have bought it off the 7-UP machine that had a Deceptacon decal on it.
