*Luke purses his lips before saying.* Hey, I didn't believe it either. But I saw it myself. Maggie did it herself. She brought me in a basketball one time.
*Seeing the look on K's face, he can't help but smile weakly.*
You've got a lot to learn, man.

*Luke keeps his calm where K can't. He figures that's the least he can do.*
Okay. When she's in here, Maggie can bring in things from outside the Brink. It's little things, like an apple or a pencil or a ball.
It's her power, man. *Luke gets a flash back of X-Men. For a moment, he wonders what Maggie's name would be...*
*He blinks and gets the ADD under control.* I saw it. She can do it.

The sound of boots clomping behind the bar can be heard as aman with wild orange hair slowly fades into the Brink, one eye partially covered. Hidden beneath the hair are two small black nubs, horns unseen by the public. The man is dressed in black, black shirt, black trenchcoat, black pants, and black boots. Even his eyes seem black at first glance, changing to a deep purple behind his orange shades. The badge he wears seems oddly familiar, but the man, he's someone entirely new. He stops for a moment as the chharred earth turns to hardwood flooring. He slowly looks up, "....the Brink..."

:::Looks over at the sound of an entrance, and doesn't recognize the man...must be another new comer:::

*Luke looks over at the newcomwer. He gives a wave to the guy, before turning back to K.*
My power?
*Luke becomes very serious and says.*
I have the ability to piss off every single person I meet.
*He stares at K, deadpan.*
*A moment passes, and a grin works its way upon Luke's face. He laughs.*

:::K blinks when Luke looks utterly serious, but when the moment fades to a chuckle, he joins in...they'd gotten themselves really worked up a moment ago...not that the topic wasn't serious but...:::
:::His laugh dies down, and looks over at the new guy, and figures that Luke's met him before since he'd greeted the man so casually. He nodded an excusal from Luke and faced the new guy:::
Hello, my name is K. I don't believe we've met yet.

Tac looked over to him, "K...I couldn't have been gone THAT long. I mean, I can see not knowing a new guy, but I've been visiting the Brink longer than a whole bunch of people."

Tac scratched his head, blinking, then scratches some more and pulls at his hair, looking at it, going a bit cross eyed. He closes his eyes for a moment, "OOH! I see...I'm not thinking fourth dimensionally. Whoever it is that passes down my image hasn't seen me like this yet. You think I'd be thinking fourth dimensionally kore than anybody, but meh." He bows for a quick moment, "Jordan Daize, Agent Seventeen, at your service. I prefer the more common name, Tacitus Nusradai."

Tac shrugged, "I died." He can see that wouldn't be enough of an explaination, "My mortal form passed on and my consciousness was placed into another destined body. I Awakened. Basically I was reincarnated, but with a twist. Died, but didn't stay that way. The body known as Tacitus Nusradai died after ten years of research. Ten years where he never saw the Brink once. Its been only two weeks, but it seems like 13 years. Its hard to explain, it involves time travel. I basically replaced the Tacitus that existed in his present time, before he even started the ten years of studying. The Pegasus Effect dictates that because I jumped over the time distortion wave, I was unaffected by the events. In the future he ceased to exist because the timeline which created me never existed. Its pretty hard to wrap your head around all this temporal mumbo jumbo. The main point is this though. I am Tacitus. I have changed. The Tacitus I used to be, and became, hasn't been here in 13 years. The Tacitus I am now, as a continuation of the normal one, hasn't been here in two weeks. So for all intents and purposes, either way. I missed this place. You seen Cora around by any chance? Missed her the most."

:::he blinked a few times. He tried to let what the man just said sink it...but it didn't. It was amazing. K never thought that words he understoond individually could make so little sense all strung together. But he did hear one thing he understood...:::
Oh...Cora? Well...actually no. I haven't seen her in quite some time.

He slumped down onto the bar, elbows supporting his weight as his hands craddled his head, "Well...whats a few more weeks after thirteen years? Meh, what have you been up to kid?"
