The confused look stayed, and Ryou turned towards the door, holding Kat's hand without being aware he was doing so. He half expected Bakura to come back. "Is this some kind of joke?" He asked, turning back towards Kat. "I'm sorry, um, Kat, but I really don't know who you are."

A sad look fell over kats face but ryou wouldent be able to tell "oh....im sorry for taking up your time....you dont have to stay.." she said softly.you could hear the hurt in her voice as she let go of his hand.

Ryou bit his bottom lip when he heard the tone of her voice, and he took ahold of her hand again. "Someone's probably been screwing with my head. I'm sorry that I don't, uh, remember you."

Ryou started to speak again, but was cut off as the door opened with a bang. Marik entered, looking enraged. "Found you." He said, with a sadistic smile, quickly crossing the room.

Kat'seyes widen filled with fear "Please no.." she muttered scrambling back on the bed.

Ryou tensed, turning blindly towards the voice, and was abruptly struck across the face with the back of someone's hand. He stumbled off to the right, his head spinning as he wasn't sure which way was the ground and where he was headed, but he managed to shakily get his balance. The hand came out of nowhere again, catching him off guard. It hit his mouth, and he tasted blood, but grabbed a firm hold of the arm. He reached out, touching the person's face, frowning slightly, then it struck him. "Marik." His voice was flat, emotionless, and his face didn't give much away either. "Nice for you to be striking down a blind person."

Kat was quiet for a moment her body shaking "..marik...leave ryou alone!" she said.

Marik glared at Kat, shaking Ryou off of his arm. "Surprised to find you speaking up. Now hurry up and let's go." He grabbed a hold of Ryou's arm, a tad surprised to find Ryou fighting back even more than before. "b*****d. Stop that."

Kat slid out of bed.Walking up to marik she hit him hard in the neck "I said leave him alone!"
