"No," he said, shaking his head slightly. He was far from perfect. In fact, nobody was perfect. Life would be so boring if everyone were. He leaned in slowly and barely touched his lips to Cody's in a supremely worshipful kiss.

Cody blinked. He seemed slightly puzzled by that, Dari hadn't denied his claims of seeing perfection in him before. He returned the kiss lovingly.
"When I saw you the first time, I thought you were an angel. You were this stunning, lovely person, even after I spilled coffee on you and ruined your shirt." He kissed Dari's cheek. "I know better now," he said. "Not only are you a lovely person after someone spills coffee on you--you are all the time."

Dari drew a finger down his profile and winked, clicking his tongue and pointing at Cody. He still wasn't sure how to react to comments about his appearance, and that was what he had taken that to be. He chuckled then, though, and kissed the tip of Cody's nose.
Well, Cody, you didn't impress me at first. I was just interested in your obsession with alien life.
No, no. Sometimes lies were much better. He certainly didn't feel that way now!
"I thought you were quirky. Sweet. I'm glad we saw each other again. I'd never have imagined I'd be here, though.

"I didn't think so either. But you called me, and we went out..." He smiled. "I thought you must have had a hundred people lined up, you're gorgeous and so sweet." He trailed kisses along Dari's jawline.

"God no," Dari said with a laugh, face open. Far from it! He leaned his head away from Cody to better allow the jaw kissies and sighed happily, eyes closing. Ah, that felt so nice...
"I love you too..." His voice was soft and distracted.

Cody nibbled at Dari's ear, paused and looked up at the sky. "I'd lie and say I've been watching the meteor shower," he murmurred, "but I've got you right here." And Dari was his whole world. The most important thing in the universe.

Dari inhaled through his teeth, grinning, and slid a hand down Cody's side. "Don't stop--" he said with a laugh.
Oh, right! the meteor shower! Human libidos were so strange. "I forgot it was happening."

A snicker escaped Cody. He kissed Dari's cheek. "Care to join me in my sleeping bag, then?" He teased. He laid down on the soft grass and gazed up at the sky. "They really do remind me of how your eyes shine when you're happy."

Dari groaned and flopped face-down.
"Yes," he said into their blanket. He sighed heavily and then turned his head to not be smashing his nose into the ground. "Really?"

"Yeah. You get this light in them when you smile," Cody said. It was usually The reflection of some other light, or the warmth of a living soul, He guessed; but it was beautiful.
He scooted closer to Dari. "I'm glad we did this."

Ah, if only Cody knew his real eyes, the glowing orbs of white that they were. Maybe his eyes did glow still? Should he have checked? That could be unsettling for Cody in the middle of the night... Oh well.
"Well, thank you," he said, and then caressed the side of Cody's face. "Me too. It smells so nice out here." He looked up toward the wildflowers.

Cody smiled at Dari, eyes warm as he looked him over. "We'll come here every time we want to camp locally," he said happily.

"You want to camp more?" Dari asked. He knew camping was special to Cody, but they'd only ever really talked about this trip. He'd he happy to go out more, especially in summer when Cody was free. Suddenly he came upon a thought and popped up on one elbow.
"Wait, are you suggesting a federal agent break the law? I mean, today aside, break the law?" he was half-smiling, clearly teasing.

Cody smirked. "I'm notc corrupting a federal agent," he denied, then kissed Dari on the lips. "This is the only place I can be like this with you." Besides his house, anyway.
