Drakonis Darkblade
What do you think of this Avi?

Hmmm... First, a breakdown... A crying girl in a dungeon in a straightjacket with a chuckling, sinister nun and some sort of magic...

So the nun keeps an orphanage as a cover for her worshipping of a demon. She batters and abuses one orphan she singles out, slowly driving them to perfect anguish, and then feeds them to "her master." Not sure if the magic is part of the girl's defilement, a mere way to keep her immobile, or perhaps a draining of essences... But in exchange for the tortured souls, the demon gives the nun unworldly powers and extended life, that allows her to trick others into thinking everything is fine despite that she is now pure white and the lawn is full of graves for freshly-defiled children and it perpetually rains black blood every night.

I don't know if it helps any, but you can always count on me too read way too much into everything. biggrin

hehe you guys are both awesome. Though I'm a little worried now that Drakonis' toes are in imminent danger eek

How exciting you get to find out your baby's gender soon. My son didn't cooperate and always turned the wrong way during the ultrasound. We didn't know he was a boy until he arrived.

Yea! I mean it isn't a sure thing sadly, I hope the baby isn't shy that day. T^T I am excited! I've been feeling left out lately though. Like I don't have much to do with the pregnancy, The Doctor always talks to her mom and tells her whats going on and it feels like I'm not even there...

She'll talk to friends and ask them questions, you know, advice from someone who had already been pregnant. She listens to these people and gets all paranoid because of them and we end up going to the hospital once or twice a week. These questions however are questons I've answered with cliched things such as "Baby, It's normal. Your body is going through a BUNCH of changes right now. Things are moving and being moved to make room for the growing child you have within you."

Turns out every time we've gone to the Doctor, I've been right the whole time. I know that too many pelvic exams can endanger the baby, She still does it though...

I brought it up to her the other day and asked her "Why is it that when I give you advice or reassure you that everything is okay my words mean nothing to you, But when someone else says something they speak the word of god?" She got mad and felt insulted. I need advice Cam. T^T;

Also, Exxos, your lovely awesomeness gave me an idea and I made a part two to the first sacrifice avi. Storyline avi? Hmmm, What do you think people? =D

Sorry if I'm not allowed to be doing this. x.x; I'll delete the edit if you want me to so I'm not breaking any rules. x.x;

Drakonis - the best advice I can give you is to just try and tune out all the other advice. Chances are people are more interested in sharing the story of what happened to them, or they are in need of being thought of as helpful. You'll get soooo much conflicting information and so much of it is bound to make you guys feel like the worst parents in the world. (It doesn't get any better once you have your child either). Just try to remember that most people are well meaning so try to thank them graciously and then forget most of what they said. This is your child and what is right for other people isn't necessarily right for you.

Do of course listen to what the doctor advises. Oh and I never heard of too many pelvic exams being bad for the baby. The ultrasounds are just sound waves, not radiation.

As far as feeling left out. Yes I would be a little annoyed if the doctor didn't talk to both of you. Maybe if you tried to ask him any questions you had? But feeling left out is probably very common with new dads both before the baby is born and for a time after too. There's really no point on dwelling on what's fair or not. She's the one who has do deal first hand with all these scary changes with her body - that a lot of the time might not even feel like it belongs to her any more. All you can really do is be patient and supportive and try not to take it personally when she gets scared and lashes out at you because you're there.

Well, hopefully some of this helps.. but as I say with most advice, Take what's useful to you and ignore the rest. smile

And to chime in, if she does not listen to the advice you give, but listens to that same advice from others, you can at least take solace that she is taking that important advice in some form. It's irritating as all get out, but at least it is getting through.

Also, which pelvic exam is it? There are so many things under the term "pelvic exam," mostly because people decide to get prudish at weird times and can't seem to be able to say vaginal or cervical. But if the baby is further along than, if memory serves, the 4th month of development, when the structural integrity of everything cannot be rattled apart all that easily, ultrasounds are pretty low risk if the technician knows what they are doing.

All around exams throughout the third month. A lot of them, Vaginal and Cervical. Thanks you two, I'll speak a little louder and make my presence known next time the Doctor is in.

Wow thats so exciting, a new baby. Im thinking how this world will look when that baby grows up and finds a job. Will everything be 3D? Will we have internet in our contact lenses?

So, not-so-important-or-life-changing-news: my boyfriend and my best friend (two in one) left me after 2 years. He has been having some issues (mostly with himself ha-ha) for a longer time and then almost one week ago he left for USA (we live in Europe) and there he got all depressed and left me.

Its so pathetic...I mean i am... he said he wants to be alone now and i said we will still be together one day. Its so typical. And he said he still loves me. I mean i know he does. Its just that he has some issues and wants to deal with them alone and doesnt want to be with me right now.

aaaand since we have been best friends even before the relationship, we want to stay best friends.

I really wonder how this will work.

I have been rather fine, just food is not staying in me for too long - i have that nervous-pre-exams-feeling. He is actually much more depressed than i am.

Sorry for the rant:///
