because they thought it mght work... personnaly im ok with the battle network series... but when your arm has to "eat" the chip to use it... thats just gey

it seems more like a cross between, dog, dragon, genie, and gey.
they seriously could've made a better plotline. the electromagnetic wave theme was a good idea. the rest is just not so great.
