The Hot Topic line will include junior girls T-shirts, men's T-shirts, and men's hoodies as well as Naruto branded stickers, pins, patches and headbands (in stores and available at www.hottopic.com). Devoted fans of Naruto will also be able to browse and shop for exclusive Naruto apparel on the official VIZ Media website (www.viz.com) at the VIZ Media Store. Additionally, Hot Topic will carry the best-selling Naruto manga in stores. "Hot Topic has a very deep understanding of the Naruto brand, and will provide a powerful and compelling product offering that will have enormous appeal to the huge existing Naruto fan base making them a perfect, strategic retail partner for Shonen Jump's Naruto in the U.S." said Cynthia Money, vice president of consumer products for VIZ Media. "We are also excited to expand our VIZ Media Store and feature additional exclusive Shonen Jump's Naruto items on-line." Well, I guess I won't be getting any of that merchandise.

It's positive. Put aside the fact that you're actually going to have to go into Hot Topic to buy Naruto stuff... I'd say this is going to have a very positive impact. First, it shows that Viz is looking to try to market the show to middle-high school students. That shows it'll be light on edits, and we'll be seeing official DVDs relatively soon after the TV release. Also, we'll get a wide range of apparel. I think a button or pin of some kind would be a great way to express my Naruto fandom without going overboard with it. Plus, I think having apparel in Hot Topic might boost the overall popularity of the series, which is good.

Although, would you mind if you PM me the original post so I can use it for later reference? Yea, and the mod called me out over it, like it was my fault. Screw them, I hope Superman/Goku threads take the ******** AMC over. Not my fault. Yeah, I thought it was kinda weak to put it all on you like that. I know more than a few times I've tried to get a mod in to deal with a particularly persistent troll, but more than a day would go with no action.
