"Welcome. Your invitation is received, you may enter." Bertuicco now with invitation and name, would announce the arrival of Sairys son. "Introducing-- Damien, Son of Sairys, from the Emerald Tower."

Taking note of the others being asked to check their weapons at the door, Tacitus would follow suit soon after handing over his invitation. With a slight nod to Bertuicco he handed over his invitation, "Temporal Overseer Tacitus Nusradai of Genesis." Looking to the announcer's companion he slid his two rather oversized handguns from their holsters, nearly inaudible clicks indicating the safety mechanisms engagingas he handed each of them over, his fingers trailing almost too long on the one he held in his right hand. As he reached for the mace at his side he hesitated, "I would ask that no one touch my mace. Even though it is a weapon of war it is an antique, and as antiques happen to be it is rather tempermental." He gave a smile, "I don't suppose you have a case or even a bag to place it in? Perhaps a safe to make sure it doesn't get ou- er, lost?" He really did hate the thing, for it never seemed to leave him alone after the event with Cai and the damned girl with her blasted mirror. If some container were provided Tacitus would place it inside, his fingers almost unwilling to break contact with the wicked looking weapon, "And then that would be all I have on me." It was true he had more weapons, but those three hardly left his side, whether by his will or theirs. So disarmed he would make his way into the main room, his eyes resting on the man playing with souls with a look of distaste, but then settling on the refreshments with a childlike grin.

"Oh loads of things, one of which being KB's betrayal." Nodding his head he went on in a very matter-a-fact manner which might have been in part caused by the fact he assumed Sairys had known about the possibility of combat aboard the station which was why she had departed so abruptly. "But another, more major, being that the b*****d can run his own damn station for a spell, I'm tired and I need to relax." A genuine grin, well as genuine can get considering his emotions were as fake as his face, crossed his lips as he took a fair swallow of his own intoxicating beverage. Though completely unable to enjoy the beverage as a human could Tegral's 'digestive' system was comprised of a holding tank where his stomach was and a computer analyzer to tell him what was being put into it. If enough alcohol was ingested his on board computer would tell him he was drunk, but frankly the amount of hard liquor it would require was vastly superior to the holding tank's limits. Oh well, he could enjoy the computer generated taste. Technology was grand! "Besides, I hardly get a chance to mingle with some of the finer ladies about the Black Company when I'm cooped up on the bridge for so long. Shot my mood to hell. Haha!" A rich, deep, laugh came from deep inside Tegral's throat - or would have had it been real. He had a powerful voice and a laugh just as much so, "Hell, I was likely to blow someone out of an airlock in the mood I was in up there." Another rich, throaty, laugh. Whether or not Sairys had had a chance to incorporate a lot of the myths and lore aboard the station was unknown, but one she probably knew that the jest about blowing people out an air lock was no jest at all. He'd done it to a group of marines that had disobeyed a direct order and balked at his rank. No one had the stupidity to challenge him after that, none except KB and his recent betrayal. b*****d.

Uh-- o-oh... yes... h-hello. N-n-Nana...

*Still stuttering through most conversations, KB was the first to actually call Nana, Mastema's wife outside of anyone in the Citadel. For the most part no one knew, or cared to notice. The two seemed out of place as it were, and heaven forbid anyone actually notice their respective wedding bands. Now that Nana was here she seemed a little nervous, perhaps it was all the new faces. A light blush would cross her cheeks as, a sign that everything was otherwise normal*

Yes, we never really liked to do this sort of thing. Well, if we tried someone would end up horribly drunk and the rest would be fighting over something mundane.*Kaiori seems pretty relaxed with the conversation suddenly. She smiles warmly at Nana but can’t help but get a bad taste in her mouth at the thought of anything involving mastema. Not that she was one to say anything; she wasn’t exactly married to any dream man. Thinking of her husband she glances around for him and almost laughs at her own stupidity, of course he wasn’t here yet, if he had been here, he’d be attached to her hip. Sighing softly she crosses her arms, she hoped he’d wear a shirt. Her tongue darts out to lick her lips and she feels slightly hungry. Her eyes flutter momentarily in shock, of course she was hungry, this body had yet to feed! Suddenly she feels a little less relaxed but it’s easily enough under her control she refused to be some wild animal like Ceres.*

*The twins seem to grow bored with their conversation and part for the moment. Griffin would keep tabs on his sister, not trusting her around anyone with her condition. Bell on the other hand would ignore her brother completely and seek out other company, being a rather social butterfly.*

Mastema chuckled when Tegral left. The conversation was more pleasant than he'd expected, but that didn't mean his opinion of Tegral had changed any. If the man wanted to supiorize himself why being idle, there was nothing for him to complain about. Finally being left alone, Mastema turned to the table to see what delicacies they might have to try here. The man toying with souls was a nuisance at best, a man simply trying to call attention to himself.

Than was aware of Karinth's manipulations but didn't feel the need to intervene yet. If the man continued to make a scene of himself or tried something over the top, Than would more than gladly knock his lights out. For the moment, he stood somewhat toward the center of the room, looking up toward the balcony that Gan was supposed to appear from as if he were annoyed at being kept here so long without a cause. It was almost as if he'd forgotten it was a party and thought it was the stage for someone's declaration of war.

Ka'rinth seemed to care little for the events, after all they were merely an appetizer for the main feature. However once Tegral began disturbing the elctro magnetic field that his body generated his eyes opened slowly and his head turned towards the man as he twisted his torso without moving the legs in a relatively unnatural manner. His smile was soft as he reached two gloved hands forward to pull his hood forward for a few seconds during which the glow of his eyes receded. Moments later the hood was pulled back and away from his face revealing simple features of short messy brown hair, an unremarkable face, and soft blue eyes as the man smiled at Tegral and began walking forward. Between one step and the next the cloak shifted and suddenly he was just a human walking towards the man with a soft smile. Another flicker and the electro magnetic field became normal as it would for a human being and the necromancer stood before Tegral saying softly, May I help you? The words were soft but held a certain amusement as Ka'rinth stood before the android allowing him to scan a body which was now fully human. It even seemed to lack magic though there were ephemeral gleams in the air as some of his souls still circled the man. The only abnormality Tegrals scan would turn up woud be increased bone density but only enough to suggest he could take a little more of a beating that a normal person.

Bertuicco would announce the 'temperal overlords' arrival. "Introducing-- Temporal Overseer Tacitus Nusradai, of Genesis." Baptistain would take the guns and place them aside, and as per request, made a padded case avilable for the mace. Any other weapons would be deactivated upon entrance to the building. "There, that 'aut to do it." Once inside, Baptistain would move the weapons into the room, and place them until the party was over. Meanwhile Haydée was with The Count, preparing to make their entrance. "Here are your pills." , "Thank you." , "It is almost time. Several people have gathered, just as you wished." , "Yes, something to be greatful for. There was enough curiosity to make my introduction a success." , "Here... let me do that for you." Haydée would proceed to straighten The Count's cravat, before standing back and taking up her original spot. "Well then, we are just about ready. Take my arm dear." , "Nnn." Taking The Count's arm as a lady Haydée was ready to greet the crowd with The Count at any time. Her dress was beautiful, it showed off all of her curves and appeal. Haydée was meant to be looked at, a beautiful doll, who moved at The Count's whims.

"Well Kai, you know that is only because we have love and honor to upohold!" KB exclaimed happily, before nodding to Nana. "Nana eh? That's a different name. Nice though." KB was rather direct about his appreciation of the name, his conversation as well as eye contact bouncing back and forth between the two. As always, KB was a fairly energetic young man, almost incapable of standing still for too long. The BC always had too much to do to stand around drinking. He would of course cast a glance at Bell, curious as to why she hadn't been married off to some demon or somesuch.

"Kids seem to be doing well for themselves." KB would observe, before continueing. "Oh! And I hear some other little sprouts had a birthday recently." KB would look to Nana at that, Than's little bits of conversation being more then enough to talk about. It was nice to be able to squeeze some happy information out of the boy, if even sarcastically offered. With any luck thinking or talking about the children would alleviate some of Nana's shyness. It was easier to be engaged in a conversation about something you were particularly interested in.

o.o

Wha--what?

*Nana seemed more than a little surprised that KB knew of the children, let alone their birthday, though that was several months passed now. Thanatos had a lot to talk about, but Nana didn't know it was he who had said anything. She wasn't shy anymore, no, it was more like apprehension. So instead of being shy, now she was a little on edge. KB had strange affects on women, that was for sure. Nana would likely continue to stutter her way through the conversation. There was no real dislike towards KB, just surprise*

*Bell looked as if she was actually about to approach Mastema and his crowd, her lips in a constant light hearted smile, one her mother had lost long ago. Thankfully, Griffin, who had been walking close behind had grabbed her by the arm and had steered her a little off of her course. Kaiori’s face held her shock and then her sigh held her release of stress and she thanked the heavens that Griffin was so levelheaded. Kaiori pats her flushed cheeks lightly snapping herself out of the horrid pictures of Mastema’s table with her daughter at his mercy. That led to the thought of blood which made her eyebrows pull together, she had to stop that train of thought right there. It was all a matter of…well mind over matter, just that and she’d keep herself out of trouble and hopefully her children as well.*

Mastema was at the table inspecting the choices of food, so his back was turned when Bell's course had been interrupted. Mastema didn't realize Bell had even been planning to talk with him, not that Mastema wouldn't be able to understand Griffin's choice. Still, there were only a hand full of people in this room who could be thought of as less potentially dangerous than Mastema was now.

Than was also unaware of what was going on, still glaring at the balcony with an indeterminate look on his face. He wasn't particularly paying attention to the party. Although, if he'd known about Griffin's little intervention, he might have laughed. It was a wonder how many people Griffin would keep Bell from meeting with.

Twi shook his head lightly at the sight and approached Griffin after he'd successfully diverted Bell. "Well you haven't changed that much," Twi smiled, amused. "Although I'll give it to you you gained a good few feet since we last actually met." Twilight extended his hand to Griffin. Griffin already knew anything about Twilight that Kai did, but Twi still didn't know terribly much about Griffin in return. Maybe he might actually get his own chance to make a judgment tonight.

"Something wrong Kai?" KB would ask, genuinely concerned. The woman always had a unique challenge to face almost every time he saw her, and he suspected having been blown up and remade didn't really change that much. KB was sure Nana would have similar worries, not that either Nana or KB wanted to feel as if they were patronizing Kai. As for Bell, KB could merely wonder what made the girl so suicidal.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 27, 2007 12:54 pm

*Kaiori almost flinches at his comment. Sure KB was observant, but it probably wouldn’t take a genius to see she was on edge. She was being far too transparent about everything and as much as she was hungry she’d hate to spoil a lovely evening, so she’d mess things up another time. Carefully she shrugs her shoulders and lets her smooth hair cover her ears, muffling the sound of pulses echoing in her mind. She then places a delicate hand slightly over her nose and mouth, it would seem like a gesture of modesty when it had a darker but much needed purpose.* I’m fine, just a little under the weather, you know how it is. *Her redden lips smile softly behind her hand and she generally seems to have had a change for the better.*

Hnn...

*It was a normal response to hear from Nana. At the moment she was looking over at Twilight and Griffin, who she supposed were starting a conversation. Nana wondered when she'd go and talk to Twilight alone, probably not for a while. There were several beings here, many Nana did not know, and fewer she did. As KB and Kaiori continued talking, Nana was beginning to feel cast aside, even if she wasn't. Looking about, Nana would spot Bell. She looked sociable, maybe they could talk to eachother for a minute or two*
