Greed sighed.
"Money."
He said, his eyes glitning. Oh yes was he ever greedy, and did it show. He sighed and took his new cards, tapping for another. But this time, he wasn't so lucky, and had lost. 22. Damn. Greed cursed to himself before looking to Envy. How in the hell did he get so hyper? Greed gave him a twenty, pointing to where the change machene was, and how to play the slots.
"Go do that. It's fun."
He said with a small grin, hping that it would get Envy off of his back for awhile so that he could at least win a bit and then they could do something else.

Envy took the twenty dollars and ran for the change machine. He smiled happily as he sat down at the slot machine. He put the money in and then pulled the handle. He tilted his head as lights and whistles went off. He started to get nervous like he had done something wrong. He looked around and no one was really paying attention and then he looked down and saw the money coming out of the machine. He smiled and picked up a bucket that was next to the machine and put the money in it. He continued like this until he had four large buckets full of coins. He took them over to the blackjack table and smiled at Greed. "Did I do this right?" Apparently, Envy was REALLY lucky.

Greed sighed in relief, and continued to play at the table. He had won most, though now he was on a losing streak, and it was really bringing out the worst in him. He cursed and threw his cards down, shaking his head. Greed sighed, getting another card, and dared for another. Damn. Lost again. Greed was getting sick of it, and so he quit. He left, but stopped as he saw Envy coming up to him. And the four buckets. He frowned, his skin crawling as he saw that Envy had won more than him. This day was seriously staring to suck.
"Yes."
He said, and took a look at the buckets. They were all full. How in the hell did he do it? Greed sighed, rubbing his head. He needed a good drink. Grabbing two of the buckets to help Envy, he nodded for him to follow.
"Let's get a drink, and then you can cash this in for real money."

Envy tilted his head. "Greed? You seem upset...did I do somethign wrong?" He grabbed the other two buckets and followed Greed closely. "You can have the money, I don't need it do I? I could get candy I guess, I have enough clothes....what else do I need to live here with the humans?" He thought about it and smiled. "Do you need the money for anything?"
((Um, I'm gonna go, I have to work tomorrow and I am tired. Night! I'll see you tomorrow!))

[ mkay. sorry my posts have been so...lacking. i have a huge headache & i'm in south carolina, so i have like zero service DX ]
Greed stared at the buckets again, just wondering how someone could be so lucky. Maybe Envy stoled them from someone. Yes, that had to be it, since the kid had no idea what he was doing and it just had to be that. He wasn't going to admit that Envy could win more than him anyway. Greed fazed back into reality, shaking his head to the sin to signal a no. He began walking towards the bar, shrugging as Envy asked him if he wanted it. Of course he did. What a silly question. But...did he need it for anything? He sure did.
"Maybe i'll just keep it safe for you so you don't lose it."
Greed said as he glanced to him, setting the buckets down on the ground before sitting in a chair at the bar, the one next to him empty for the sin. He knew that they would give the other male a few stares, since he looked so young and was, but Greed would just make sure that nothing happned. He ordered himself a vodka mixed with a bit of scotch, a strange combonation but one that he rather liked.

Chris glared slightly at Miko, his lips set in a firm, childish pout. He crossed his arms over his chest, stubbornly sinking down several inches in his chair. He really wanted a way to get back at Miko, but knew his father would never stand for a mess made while eating. That was the one thing Gluttony was always firm about -- table manners. Though it might seem odd for a sin always pictured as one to stuff his face, Gluttony was actually very big on neat eating. It was rather strange.
Fever smiled, a light tint of pink filtering onto his lips from the small kiss. He ate much more slowly for, although he was hungry, he found it healthier to eat at a more sedated pace -- it was better for digestion.
Miko looked across the table to Chris, wriggling his fingers in a small wave, but inside he knew that he had won this battle. The two were the best of friends, but that didn't mean that they didn't go at each other. At least it wasn't violent, just a bit of childish fun was all. There really was no harm in that at all. Miko had never been taught manners, and Pain really didn't think that he needed to at this age as it was, considering he had no idea and had never been a father, so Miko was left to his own devices. He wasn't a pig, but didn't like to use the knife and fork. Miko just grinned as he fixed his ears, sticking out his tounge to Chris before eating the rest of his food.
Pain smiled to himself and washed the dishes, glad that Wrath hadn't decided to come back down any time soon. And Greed was gone with Envy, so at least he and Fever could rest easy knowing that they were ok for now. Gluttony didn't seem the type to care, though he might accidentally let it out, so they couldn't really go around flaunting anything. But, they were fine, and he was just glad that everything was turning out good for these few days.

"Chris, please sit up properly," Gluttony said, his eyes straying between the two children. The boy hesitated a moment, sending Miko a small half-glare, half-pout before he sat up, back straight, shoulders down -- perfect posture that not many children his age would have ever been able to hold. Chris was childish, yes, but Gluttony had made sure that his manners were impeccable at the neccessary times. Chris finished eating quickly before he hopped down from his chair and neatly grabbed his dishes to go hand off to Pain.
"Thank you for breakfast," he mumbled to Fever, who smiled and nodded in return.
Gluttony stayed where he was, though he had finishes, and called after Chris, "Chrissy? You want to stay here and play with Miko or go to the pool?"
Chris frowned slightly, his brow wrinkling in deep thought. He wanted to swim, but... but he wanted to play with Miko and he knew Miko didn't like swimming... and he wanted to get back at Miko for winning.
"I wanna play wif Miko!" he said brightly, his pale crimson curls whisking slightly as he turned to his friend and pounced, tackling him down onto the floor.

Pain turned his attention to the boy, smiling as he took his plate and ruffled his hair. He did look almost every inch like Lust, but with the eyes, well, that was really the only thing that set them apart. He knew that Chris would grow up to be just like Lust in the looks department, but at least he was kinder and had been raised well. Odd, since Pain never would have though of Gluttony as a great parent, but he seemed to be doing extremely well with Chris so far.
Miko slid out of his chair and took his dish to Pain as well. Pain scooped up the kid into his arms and kissed his cheeks untill Miko giggled and squirmed. Pain grinned and finally set him down, letting him go run off and play and pull his usual tricks and stunts. Whatever made him happy. Miko turned back to Chris, blinking as he heard about the pool, and made an icky face. He hated the water, and it was hard for Pain to even get him to take a bath. Miko began to walk off into the living room when he was tackled onto the carpet, which made him squeak but laugh and wriggle under Chris.
"No no! Stop Chris!"

"Nnn-nnn!" Chris said, pinning the other down carefully, a wide grin on his sweet little features. He was smaller, yes, but he was going to win this time! "Miko, why don't you like water? It's fun fun!!" the boy exclaimed with his usual excitement. He was rather like Passion in that reguard -- he was easily excitable and tended to get very into whatever it was he liked.
Chris grinned, giggling the entire time, and said, "Miko, you should swim! I can teach you 'cuz Papa says I'm good at swimming and I don't really need floaties any more even though I can't go into the deep end yet but that's alright because there's a kid pool, too!" The boy said all the extremely quickly and in one breath. It was a wonder that he managed to get it all out.

Miko struggled and wiggled and did everything he could, though he was too tired from earlier and just layed on the ground in a defeated manner. He frowned, and his golden eyes flashed as he glared. It was always cute to see him try and act so tough, though he knew that the little half sin could be a terror when he wanted and when certain things prompted him to be. Miko fnally found a small source of stregnth and pushed out from under Chris, shaking his head as he ran to the couch and curled up.
"No!"
He shouted, not wanting to go anywhere near the water. At all. Pain hadn't figured out yet why the kid hated it so much, but he knew that he must have a good reason. He just didn't know what it was. Miko frowned once more, shaking his head furiously.
"No no no!"

Chris rolled off Miko as he was pushed away, and layed sprawled where he had landed for several moments before he sat up. He sniffled slightly, small tears welling up in his eyes before he threw his head back and wailed, sniffling heavily as he spoke, "M-Miikoooo... I j-j-just w-wuh..anted you t-to ha-aaave a good tiiiime!" He wiped at his eyes with his little pale fists, his hair now quite a mess.
"I w-aanted y-ou to... to swii-im with me 'cuz you n-never do-ooo...." he mumbled, trying his best to stop the cascade of tears that welled up at the corners of his eyes.
((This is how crying kids talks. 8D;;;
Oh yeah, guess what?!
I got my liscence yesterday! Yey! 8D <33333 ))

Miko sat on the couch in a huff, but blinked and turned as he saw Chris crying. At least Miko wasn't totally like Greed and did have a sensitive side, and he pushed off of the couch as he headed over to the young boy's side. He patted his head softly, smoothing down his messy curls, and wrapped his small arms around chris in a hug.
"Sorry...i don't like the water.."
Miko said quietly, a bit sheepishly as he hugged his best friend tighter, nuzzling his shoulder in somewhat of an appology. He hated pools, showers, tubs, anything. But, maybe he would go and just sit in the sun instead of getting in the water. That was better than nothing, right?

Gluttony was watching. He hadn't gotten up quite yet -- after all, it would be best if the kids could sort it out themselves -- but he was attentive to anything or anyone that might cause the red-headed boy harm.
Chris hiccuped slightly and nodded, his hand pressing at wet eyes as the tears gradually began to slow. He just wanted... to have fun at the pool. And fun with Miko. So why couldn't he have fun with Miko at the pool...? Really, Chris was very childish.
"Wh-why....?" he asked, his lips drawn up tightly as he held back tears. He hiccuped again, the force of the spasm making him bump slightly into the other. "Ooowww..."

Miko heard the question, and sighed, his face skewing up into a mixture of confusion and pain. He finally relaxed, rubbing Chris' hair lightly. He was rather more grown up than the other, and it showed in his actions as he tried to calm the boy down. Miko liked taking care of Chris when Gluttony didn't, and felt protective of his friend, even if he was the one who played tricks on him most of the time.
"Dunno. I'll go but...i'll just sit and watch."
He said after some time, the small inner debate showing quite clearly on his face. Miko wasn't about to go and jump into the waters just because Chris wanted to, but this was as good a compromise as it was going to get. Pain watched from afar as he put the dishes away, pouring himself some orange juice as he sat beside Fever. He smiled softly, knowing that Miko would try to have fun at the pool for Chris' sake. As much as he tried to look like a tough kid, he really liked to please, especially his friends.

Chris nodded slowly, his large black eyes wide, trying in vein to stop the hiccups that made his entire body spasm with force. He had stopped crying, though his eyes were a bit red from the tears. He slowly wiped his dark eyes off again on the back of his hand, sniffling one last time before he gave the other a hug. He didn't let go, either -- he simply held onto the other's waist as his sniffling gradually stopped.
Eventually, he mumbled, "Thanks, Miko....." He knew his friend disliked water, but he simply couldn't imagine why! And he really did want, some day, for both of them to have fun together in the water....
