"Master Yawgmoth why would you even waste your time on such a man?" Said the lone ronin who seemed to come from the darkness of the arena. Honestly takara had no shadow magic but had learned quite a few ways to stay hidden from old shinobi friends. "Besides. This man has drawn weapons." Takara motioned to the silver bladed katana at his left and the jitte in his belt on the right side. "If you want to fight with weapons then please. Fight me and challenge Master Yawgmoth when you're man enough to do it without arms. Do you accept my formal challenge sir?" Takara asked unsheathing his katana pointing the blade towards the ground. A signal that he was ready for battle and only awaiting the acceptance of his opposition.

Yawgmoth only grumbled. He really was looking for a fight but he knew Takara had been since he got here and had yet to show what he could. "As you wish Master Takara" the dark king said. There were very very few people Yawgmoth gave a suffix to. Such as lord lady master mistress what have you. Takara had earned his respect for being the only pure human to best him in combat. He'd no doubt he would rip the cocky elf apart.

:: He looked to the man he had first talked to and then bowed deeply.:: It seems i am mistaken in thinking i was any challange to you. :: He then turned to the man who had addressed him.:: If it would please you, then i will bring whatever i can to this fight. :: He turned his blades, letting them stick out behind them.:: Would you like to make the first move??

"If you want to lose faster then I will make the first move. Be ready. You will not get to see the same move twice. And if you're eyes are too slow friend. You will not see it at all." The ronin closed his eyes and let in a deep breath drawing the sword up he turned the blade so the edge was facing towards the sky. The point facing towards the elf. Grasping the handle tightly with his right hand he slid his index and middle finger along the blade and held them against the side of the tip drawing his right arm back which drew the sword back as well. Opening his eyes the ronin's expression had changed. The gentle seriousness was now stern concentration. Tension in his leg muscles built and with one massive step forward Takara's one natural talent took hold. Pure. Raw. Speed. The ground of the arena floor kicked up dirt where he had been standing but only after he was halfway to the elf. Upon drawing near Takara's right hand thrust forward as his left hand faded back. The tip of the sword heading for the elf at a great speed in a stabbing motion. The blade turned up to the sky and the tip pointing straight ahead nulled any wind resistence the blade would have out completly. With that in mind the strike speed would be much faster then a normal stab.

:: Seever's eyes widened as he saw the dust fly up. He knew that the blade had been in a stabbing motion, and that was all that saved his life. He crouched as soon as he saw movement, and while not as fast as his oppenent, he was a drow. He ducked and spun the blades to the front, gasping in surprise as the blade ran down his back and ripped his clothing, also gashing his shoulder blades and drawing a small line of blood.::

An expression of frustration graced the ronin's face. He was disapointed but only to a degree. His attack could be turned lethal if the elf hadn't swung his blades in front towards Takara's legs. Vaulting off of his feet Takara hopped over the ducked down Seever sheathing his katana as he landed. Takara's quick reaction time had been the only thing that saved his legs from being cut. He couldn't risk injury to his primary method of movement. Drawing the sword one more he took a deep breath and let it out slowly. He started..bouncing in place on his feet. With a grim smile his bouncing stopped and when his heels hit the ground the dirt beneath him sank in under the force of his step. For anyone who had seen Yawgmoth fight this was the technique that made a man like Yawgmoth who was large and bulky move quickly. Takara, of course, had taught it to him awhile ago. However for a man of takara's generally small stature the speed was blinding. Each step towards Seever crushed the ground under the ronins feet. The rapid sound of foot steps approaching fast. As he neared the elf Takara slashed forward in a diagonal fashion from the upper left to the lower right.

:: He knew that this would be a quick fight if he didn't turn the fight to his terrian, and fast. The man had blinding speed and he couldn't handle that. Seever knew he couldn't dodge the attack, so instead he moved with it. He crossed his blades in front of himself and waited, a small smile on his lips. If he could lock the mans blade, he might be able to win the fight. Still with speed like that, even a few punches might put seever out of comission. He concentrated, and the area around him turned pitch black. He closed his eyes, and listned for the attack.::

Takara had no special powers that allowed him to see into the darkness but he guessed it to be a cover of some sort but pushed through anyway. The sound of metal hitting metal echoed out of the darkness as Takara's blade hit the X shape formation of seever's blades. Takara used this to gauge where Seever was in this darkness. His blades, normally, couldn't just support themselves with no holder and if they were held by magic the force of Takara's blow would've surely knocked them to the ground. Whipping his left hand to the right side of his belt he snatched up his jitte (a small mostly defensive knife with a bar on one side to lock blades in. I can find a pic of one if you want.) slashing at what he thought would be seever's midsection based on the posistion of the blades from right to left.

:: He heard the metal ring out and flinced from the power of the blow. He spun down and kicked at the knees of his oppenent, and cried out in surprise when he felt a gash run along the left side of his face. He raised his blades and spun into where he thought his oppenet's mid-section would be. He hoped he wan't wrong, or else he would be completly defense-less::

Feeling the shift in the way the blades were being held he felt the Jitte scrape something that was a good sign. Takara felt a foot hit his knees and he fell forward because of the blow. Quickly twisting his blade away from the X cross of his opponent he stabbed it into the ground and shoved back on it causing him to stop falling forward and fall backwards onto his back with a thud. The slash made by seever would cut air but he wouldn't be defenseless since Takara had the wind knocked out of him from landing on his back. He groaned and quickly rolled away from the darkness cloud into the light so he could see. Jumping up the ronin sheathed his blade and spun the jitte around his left index finger while in thought. "That cloud trick is pretty clever. You've found a spot of weakness. But then again. I'm only human." He added slipping the jitte into the right side of his belt. He grabbed the sheath of his sword and pulled it free of his belt. Holding the sheath in his left hand he drew it back placing his right hand near the handle tilting the handle slightly upwards and the end of the sheath more towards the ground. He stood still and silent waiting the next move. He couldn't afford to attack in that cloud of black again. He needed some signal of where his opponent was.

:: He landed on his hands after connecting with the air. He stayed inside his globe of darkness and then looked out. He had darkvision and could see, but it wasn't as accurate as his hearing. He smiled when he heard the sieth tip towards the ground. He pulled out several kunai and shuriken from a pouch on his belt and launched them towards the sound.::

Yawgmoth sat back enjoying the show. He was half impressed with the elf's ability to dodge Takara. "Perhaps if that kid beats Takara we'll give him a shot at the big boys...like us." he said to himself leaning against the side of an arena wall. He could easily clear up the black cloud the boy had created and give the advantage to Takara using his mastery of the darkness element. But, that wouldn't be fair. And this, this was quite fun to watch.

Takara's hearing, had of course been sharpened as well. Not anywhere near as good as an elf's hearing but for a human his was superb. His observations were better though. The ronin noted exactly from where in the darkness the projectiles were coming from. 'Exactly what I needed' thought the ronin as he used his incredible speed to dodge the projectiles. Rocketing forward on his powerful leg muscles he kept his eyes locked on the vertex of where the projectiles came from within the cloud. Upon entrance to the cloud he closed his eyes since they did him no good. Grasping tightly on the handle of the blade with his right hand he drew the sheath back with his left hand while at the same time pulling the blade out with his right. The true form of battojutsu (as in the real form not the Rurouni Kenshin form which is totally mythical) to accelerate the speed at which the blade was removed as well as adding velocity to the actual strike. If his timing was perfect, which it always was since Takara was a sword master, his opponent would still be in the place he predicted, and still be in the position of launching projectiles. Too busy to avoid the speedy movement plus speedy slash of a real battojutsu.

HA! :: He smiled as he knew that the oppenent had fallen for it. He knew he couldn't hope to catch the man with his amazing speed. He hadn't planned to. Attached to each of the Kunai and shuriken were small strings that lead back to his hands. After hearing the mans approch from the front he pulled thr strings towards each other, hoping to wrap the man up in strings and stop his acelaration completly. As a failsafe, he leaned back and pulled the strings, both to move his body and head away from a sword strike, and also to tighten the strings around the body of his victim.::

The motion of the strings couldn't keep up with Takara and calculating his speed by the time they caught up with him since they were tied to heavy objects in comparison he would already be in the slash. Instead of cutting seever his blade merely sliced each string in its arched strike line. Knowing his blade had not cut through anything solid Takara utilized his own momentum to spin with the slicing of the blade. Whipping around 360 degrees he brought the blade back around with a straight slash towards one's midsection from left to right. The added speed of the rotation only doubled the speed of his arm and the blade itself.
