Kara hugged Donovan from behind, snuggling her face into his back to try and hid the blush of an act she still wasn't use to. Donovan made her feel like the young woman she was suppose to be. There was a soft swish of her leaf green kimono, something she hadn't worn willingly since that one incident before Donovan arrived.

"I'll be heading out to see if Serenity is up now," she murmured, "Try not to get into trouble."

Though she knew without Ruel there, things should be safe enough.

Donovan snorted with a smirk, "What, there's no one to start a fight with," he told her, "Go on."

He knew it was true, besides it was good just to not have to deal any blows to anyone at the moment.

Serenity heard someone come out on the porch, but her thoughts were so preoccupied that she paid no attention to it. Out in the forest, she would have paid attention to every little sound - but here, in the valley, mere steps away from Ulrich and Ulani's house, she felt safe enough to focus her mind entirely away from her surroundings. And thus it was that though Kara must certain have Serenity in her sight, she had no idea that Kara was out there.

Serenity's train of thought was broken, and she opened her eyes and sat up. That wasn't to say that the interruption wasn't a welcome one: it was.

"Good morning, Kara," she smiled up at the angel warmly from where she sat. "I trust you slept well?"

Serenity shrugged and got to her feet. "Enough," she murmured noncommitically. Her sleep hadn't been very restful, but then it never was the night after her yearly visit with Daeron. It wasn't anything new.

"So where are we off to today?" she asked Kara, smiling, trying to appear to be in the mood she should have been in. "Ulani mentioned you wanted me to take you to see something ..."

Serenity thought back on it, and nodded her head affirmatively. "We could make it to the cave and back by dinner, if you'd like," she offered. "Since ... as I recall, you fledged shortly after we left it ... and that's the most beautiful part of the walk, at this time of year anyways."

She stretched a bit and smiled again. "Donovan will be fine with the girls for the day?"

Serenity smiled. "That's good," she nodded. "Come ... we should leave right away to make the most of the day."

She started off slowly, waiting for Kara to catch up.

"Have you eaten yet?" Serenity asked Kara as they walked, looking down at the angel curiously. Therew as a mischievous sparkle in her eyes, an indication that she might be planning something ... though just what it was, was still in the works.
