"I do, but I am not the same child they remember. I am an abomination of what I once was, and I don't want to ruin their memory of me. Seeing me like this would probably only break their hearts further." Leila leaned against him and exhaled slowly. She had no idea what time it was, but they had to go to bed at some point in time. All she wanted was a peek, to see what her brother or sister looked like. "What about your parents?" she asked to pass the time.

Haucon was taken aback a bit. "Mine?" he asked. "Uh, I wasn't really home much. My dad worked in a mine and my mom was some secretary thing...anyway they were pretty busy so I was on my own mostly. I used to stay at friend's houses 4 days out of 5..." he explained.

"No sisters or brothers? Or pets?" The green cat, which had miraculously stayed on her head somehow, leaned to one side as if brushing his cheek in comfort. Leila's hand went up and twisted the green hair of his streak around her finger.

Dream had come to the stairs to see the newcomer as well. Apparently, Violet had already confronted her, and he didn't really trust her to give a very warm welcome. So he decided to introduce himself as well.
He walked down the stares and to the newcomer. Smiling at her, he hoped she wasn't taken aback by Violet. Sure, she was nicer than she used to be, but she was still a demon, after all. "Don't mind her, she's nice if you get to know her. Just don't aggrivate her." He shrugged. It was true. "But what are you doing here, anyway? Most aren't up at this time."

The light steps of Liam's feet made their way down the street. He exhaled the gray smoke from his mouth and replaced the ciggarette between his lips. His gray wings were folded neatly on his back, who cared anyways? So much chaos he could afford to show the world what he was. In laziness he lowered his scythe to the ground, the blade making a horrible scratching noise against the asphalt. He was tired and lonely, and it was very late, or early in this case. He looked around with sad eyes, nothing was the same yet nothing was different. This world was just as cold as it was when he was alive. He watched as a stray newspaper blew slightly in the soft wind, exhaling the smoke again in a puff.

Chuzuka was about to take a step inside before she heard an somewhat angered voice reach her. She turned her head slightly, her sapphire gaze resting on the woman that stood on the stairs. She felt her voice hitch in her throat when the sphere around her neck began to glow a redish colour. Demon.. She whispered. It was thenwhen all her caution vanished, her gaze tranced with the non-human. Remembering the conversation, she bowed her head politely, her silver-blue curls sweeping over her delicate shoulders. " Forgive me...I didn't think this house would be ...well..I sensed a strange aura...What I mean to say is " Good God, she started stuttering. It has been AGES since she met another non-human and the fact there was still many more made her heart lurch. " I'm sorry..." She finished simply, not bothering to continue. As for the woman's question, a small sigh escaped her lips. A man caught her attention for a brief moment and he too asked the same question. She quickly thought of a lie to explain her reason for being here so late but thought against it, these people did nothing to disearn her trust...even though she did have problems with demons and angels alike.
" I don't sleep..." She said softly.

Violet sighed and leant against the banister of the stairs, her dark wings hitching up a little so they wouldn't get caught. "I doubt anyone sleeps these days to be honest," she replied cooly. Normally she would have threatened the girl to an inch of her life by now, but with Dream around she didn't think it would be wise. Swallowing she added "We won't hurt you so you can stop stuttering you fool," even as she spoke she seemed to choke on her words. With a soft, animal like snarl she ran her long pale fingers through her dark hair. Giving Dream a small scowl she turned back to the girl. "You got the demon part right by the way, not exactly human as you can see," she said, turning her large lidless eyes on her to prove her point. "Can you sense the others too?" she asked curiously, wondering if it worked for the others wandering with them too.

Vanessa walked out of the room, baby still in her arms. Then she smiled. "Hi!"

Violet looked up at Vanessa, suprised she was still holding the child. Turning back to the new girl she added, "Meet vanessa, and..." she trailed of, unsure of what to say about the child. "Child of the family who previously owned this house," she finished lamely.

Vanessa held the baby up for the other girl to see. "I think I'm going to go see if they have any food for the baby." She said, heading down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"That's probably a good idea. I'm going to stay here, you go ahead." He nodded to Vannessa, and looked back at Chuzuka. "I'll take that excuse, mainly because you don't seem to mean any harm." He extended his hand to her. "My name is Dream. What's yours?"

Esabella sat down on the steps and stared at Chuzuka for a long time before sighing and exaimining Clara's short, chewed on nails. "Saying you don't sleep still doesn't answer the question, 'What are you doing at this time of night'," she mumbled.

Violet grinned at Esabella and went and sat down next to her. "Trust me, that line never works...especially with Mr. Goody protect the world over there," she told her, though her fixed grin was broad and enthusiastic. " i mean, you hardly answered....why should she?"

Esabella looked up from her hands. "Hmm? You say something?" she asked. She hadn't been paying attention, only to herself. Clara was right, Esabella was too fully of herself, but you couldn't blaim her now could you? A perfectly awesome Imp can be full of herself if she wants, atleast thats was Esabella thought..
