ArynChris ((Because any self-respecting human would just swoon over a proven example of "the worse kind of Enemy... the powerful kind." stare Not quite the same thing as a Hollywood gladiator match, especially once you realize that women didn't really swoon over them as real prospects back then...)) ((However during Greek and Roman times, Gladiators had thousands of fans and simply had to want it even a tiny bit to get a woman's graces, or a mans if need be.))

"It's lame," Erica shrugged, "All the goodstuff is hidden in the lower levels and locked up more than any bank vault...with null fields, charms, you name it."
Ruby nodded. "It's true, that's why they gave me the ring, so I could get into my own room. But now that it's gone..." She gave a slight shrug. Ruby stood up and sighed. "I appreciate what all you folks've done for me, an' all, but I'm gonna just start headin' home on my own."

Ruby shook her head. "I'd need to get Aaron, 'fore I go. So I'm thinkin' headin' to Krovh." She stood there for a moment, still staring up at the sky, and looking plain lost. Ruby frowned and shook her head again. "I dunno....I dunno where I'm goin, or where I'll go, but it's better'n not movin."

Erica glanced at her, and sighed at the amount of turmoil floating from the girl, like haze ontop of water. "Ruby, sit down. You can't make up your mind for ten seconds without switching to another plan. What makes you think you can make it to Krovh alive on your own? If you remember, there's a battle going on right now. You'd be shot down the moment a person got a good look at the bright red flag that is your hair." Erica glanced at Blitz. "Get her a drink..."

Blitz got up and got Ruby a bottle of lemonade. He was very glad that Erica was there, for he was horrible at talking people out of things.

Ruby glared at them both. "You know I am here, an' I can here whatever you're sayin' about me." She reached out and took the bottle despite this, and took a nice long drink.

Ruby handed back the bottle to Blitz, just a tad bit tipsy now. "I appreciate it, sug, both of you. But I'm leavin' now, to go get Aaron. Then I'm goin' home. An' don't try to stop me Erica, I'd rather not have another argument over it. Thanks for savin' me, though, both of you."

Ruby headed out of the city in the direction of Krovh, she was slightly incapacitated from the lemonade, but still able to function well enough, although the green dress wasn't much protection against the wind and cold as the sun started going down. She cursed Ora more than once over her choice in fashion, but after a moment quieted as the item she had hidden away in her bra grew a bit warm. She pulled it out, a small silver and jade butterfly dangled from a silver chain...after a moment she guessed it was a moth, instead of a butterfly. It sparkled slightly as she looked at it. "Erica said I should throw you away." She told the chain. "An' for the most part I'm thinkin' she's right. I know what Ora was doin', as gran would say, 'the devil himself is a well-mannered southern gentleman' cause evil can come in pretty packages too." As she held out the necklace to toss it away, she started getting colder. As she pulled it back, the necklace seemed to stem off the wind and cold like a warm blanket. She let out a quiet sight, and clasped the necklace on her neck. "For now, cause it's cold, but don't think that means I'm givin' in. Not yet anyhow." Ruby picked up the skirt of her dress and headed towards the minefield, it was the quickest routue to krovh after all.

Blitz laughed. "Good point. Good point." He dropped the bottle. "So now that that whole thing has been settled, whatcha wanna do? Keep on picnicking? Road trip? Check out a bar?"
