Rising from his chair he reached for her hand, "Please don't go." Looking at the tears that came, "I'm such a fool, I've gone and made you cry." Wanting to pull her close, but not know how she would react he held her hand, "Chanti I don't ask for reassurance, I ask for understanding. The same understanding you ask from me. You are welcomed into my home, you have your pick of rooms."

"DAMN IT!" he shouted after she had left. "This is why I hate love, this is why I'm repulsed by it. It makes us all do such sickening things, such vile acts. It ruins lives and tears people apart. First in france with my deer sweet, Callia. Then with Morgan, and now it's driving Chanti to tears and probably madness." Looking about him, "s**t ********, and the fete is soon as well, could I ruin things any more." Rising his eyes to heaven he shook his fist and yelled damnation upon god, "You and your sick game, every time I try to accomplish something, ruined. Anytime anyone get's close I hurt them in some manner. Why have I ben condemed to this life, this life which you knew would lead me to such a shallow existance. Never anything good and pure. No, I had to hide myself, parade around in costume." Pacing about the floor he strode back and forth with many repition.

She didn't break her stride until she was practically right on his front porch. Along with Kia, oddly enough. "How did you-" but it didn't concern her. What mattered really? He popped up once again in her mind, and she grinned "Come on Quin, time for the party!"

"I'll take one that covers up the whole face!" she exclaimed, and reached for one that did just that. She'd hoped to have arrived later, then it would be easier to blend away, but maybe with the two of them like this it was easier.

Seems Kia had deemed to grace him with his precence, it had been a while since Cloud and Quin had gotten Kia drunk, he wondered what thoughts they had of that night, but that could be put aside, "Most wonderful, a jesters masked for such a tricky individual." Hearing the voice of Chanti he was almost shocked, he was surprised that she had even come after how he had acted to her, noticing her new gown he wonder where she had come by it, but none the matter, "Perhaps one befitting your beuaty, but I have no eye for it, perhaps Kia can help you."
