After being happy for Lotusleaf becoming deputy, Mudkit trotted up to Dustpaw. "Sister, what is it like being a warrior apprentice?" she asked innocently. She wanted to know as much as she could before she became an apprentice so that she would be a quick warrior.

((Pyro, You have to wait for other's to respond for your posts. You can't ask something and not wait for an answer. Also...Kits aren't really allowed to be walking around randomly, without their mothers... You have to read the other's posts and pay attention to them..))
Showerstar looked down at Lotusleaf. "I know you will." He meowed to his new deputy. A few thoughts passed through his head, and after they did, he seemed to calm. His anger melted and he looked more like the wise leader he was. His golden eyes watched over his clan.
Nightfrost joined in the cheer quickly, as well as Stonetiger, Raggedtail, and Duskfeather. Duskfeather's heather eyes looked up at Lotusleaf. She knew he meant what he said.
Dustpaw looked down at her little sister, who's mother was right behind her. Willowsong carefully watched her kit. She wouldn't let anything happen to Mudkit. Dustpaw smiled softly at her. "You'll know soon enough." She meowed.
Thistlekit smiled widely, and looked up at her mom. "Lotusleaf!" She meowed, her deep gray eyes shining.
Riverkit's strange eyes stared at nothing, though he had a soft smile.

[sorry.. is Riverkit blind?] "Lotusleaf!" Mudkit really admired Lotusleaf. The deputy of the clan meant a lot to her. After all, she was just a kit. [how long until SwanFeather can be a warrior?]

Yes, Riverkit is blind. And Swanfeather will become a warrior agian when Rainian wants Riverkit and Thistlekit to become apprentices. Its her decesion, not mine.
Lotusleaf nods back to his leader as his clan mates come up to him. Willowcloud comes first and slightly nuzzles her head into his shoulder.
"Congratulations."
Blackpaw and Talonstride come up next.
"That was awsome! You'll be the best deputy ever! Silentcloud wont know what hit him!" the apprentice yells enthusiastically.
Lotusleaf cant help but laugh at the excitement in the young cat and nuzzles her in thanks. Talonstride greets him next with a simple nod and touch of tail before turning agian. That is the best congrats thats possible for him to give. Spottedwind and Bluepaw take there turn with nuzzles and nods and words of encouragement before they to head off in the direction of the warrior's den. Swanfeather gathers up her kits with her tail.
"Lets go meet our new deputy." she mews softly.
She herds them to Lotusleaf and gives him a slight nuzzle.
"You will do well." she whispers to him.

Walking with them, Mudkit began a conversation based on the one the others were having. "SilentCloud? [Was he the old deputy?] Would he care? He left the clan," Mudkit said to her friends.

Showerstar was still watching them, down below.
Duskfeather padded towards the grouping around Lotusleaf. Nightfrost head butted Lotusleaf slightly in the side, smiling. Stonetiger smiled, his amber gaze bright. "Good luck." He meowed, and dipped his head. Dustpaw smiled a bit weakly at Lotusleaf, her true congradulations written on her eyes. Willowsong dipped her head to Lotusleaf, smiling. She glanced at her two kits.
Thistlekit jumped up with excitement, unlike her cool-headed blind brother, who stood up and padded alongside his mother. Thistlekit looked up at the new deputy, smiling widely. "Dad made a good choice picking you!"
Riverkit's eyes stared at nothing, but his eyes were pricked up to Lotusleaf. He gave a soft smile for once.

Mudkit was surprised. She had never known Riverkit smiled like that. He never smiled. Or at least, not while she was there.

Lotusleaf nodded his thanks to all who came up to congradulate him, and he flicked his ears in slight embarassment at young Thistlekit's comment. He smiled back at her though, and flicked her shoulder with his tail and nodded in thanks, verbaly saying thank you to the blind Riverkit. He turned his gaze to Duskfeather finally, her being the last to congradulate him he thought. Blackpaw answers Mudkit's question, eyes suddenly turning hard and cold.
"Of course Silentcloud would care!" she practically yowled, infuriated. "Silentcloud betrayed his birth clan, that stupid, rotten piece of foxdung!"
She huffs and sits down kneeding the ground, fur on end.
"He'll come back, thats for sure."
Bluepaw shivers beside her mentor, overhearing Blackpaw's words.
"He....he will kill us....wont h...he?" she stutters.
Spottedwind turns, shocked, and quickly tries to quail Bluepaw's fears.
"No, he wont." she mews soothingly, hiding the fact that such words were a huge lie.
The rest of the clan waited in dispersed groups, watching thier leader apprehensively.

Mudkit looked scared after Blackpaw yowled at her. She slunk away, tail dragging on the floor. It was such a long, bushy tail.

Willowsong picked up Mudkit by her scruff and brought her back closer to her. She flattened her ears and glared at Blackpaw. She could have explained it in a better way than that.
Duskfeather smiled a bit, finally reaching Lotusleaf. She brushed his flank once with her tail. "You'll do well." She meowed.
Nightfrost looked at Bluepaw, her deep, dark blue eyes softened a tad. Although this angered her a bit, she couldn't be angry with bluepaw right now.
Stonetiger's amber eyes traveled up to Showerstar.
Thistlekit was almost bouncing a little bit as she stood next to her mother, looking at the new deputy.
Riverkit's ears swerved around, listening carefully.
Showerstar gazed down at his clan. He needed time to think, to plan. He began to travel down the Stone Ledge.

Lotusleaf smiles a little back at Duskfeather and bows his head in gratitude.
"Thank you."
Spottedwind looks at Nightfrost, slight fear and confusion in her eyes about her shy apprentice's conclusion, and quickly bustles Bluepaw up and leads her to the apprentice den. Blackpaw, noting that the meeting was over, quickly followed. She cast a swift glance at Mudkit and felt a little guilty. She hadn't ment to snap at her, but the thougth even a kit could understand the gravity of the situation her clan was in. She flicks her ears and turns away, disappearing into the den. Talonstride nodded goodbye to Stonetiger and Nightfrost and retired to the warrior's den. Willowcloud stands and pads over to Lotusleaf.
"Do you think it's safe enough to hunt yet?" she asks quietly, eyeing the meager freshkill pile.
The newly appointed deputy follows her gaze and nods grimly.
"Silentcloud will more than likely be roaming outside our territory plotting his next move. You should be fine, but I will come along with you."
He next addresses Duskfeather.
"You can come as well if you'd like."
Dewleaf sighs in relief, grateful that the meeting was finally over. She shifts and quickly picks up a leaf filled with poppyseeds and pads over to Showerstar. Swanfeather was with him after telling her kits to stay inside the den and sleep. She had felt her mate's quailing anxiety as much as Dewleaf had sensed it. Swanfeather brushed her muzzle agianst Showerstar's as Dewleaf arrived and dropped her bundle carefully on the ground.
"Are you feeling well Showerstar?" she inquires.

Duskfeather thought about it for a brief moment. "Sure." She meowed. Nightfrost watched Spottedwind leave with Bluepaw. She sighed softly. Her gaze traveled to Talonstride as she watched him leave. She padded off into the shadows of camp.
Stonetiger's amber eyes traveled to Willowsong. She looked at him, then at Dustpaw. She carried Mudkit into the nursery. It was time for them to rest. She regretted not being there for her oldest daughter. More than others knew.
Raggedtail padded into the warrior's den as well.
Dustpaw sat by herself now, watching, observing. She could hear Stonetiger coming up behind her. She probably looked too idle. "Hey." His deep voice meowed.
Showerstar was now very tired. His golden eyes landed warmly on Swanfeather. He licked her cheek lovingly, thankfully. "I'm just tired." He meowed to Dewleaf. His shoulder hadn't fully healed yet and he felt worn out from using it too much.

Dewleaf pushes the seed filled leaf torward Showerstar.
"Eat a few of these poppy seeds. They will help dull the pain in your shoulder and help you get some sleep."
Swanfeather smiled at the young medicine cat and stood.
"I need to get back to the kits. I'll be there if you need me." she mewed softly to Showerstar before nuzzling him softly one more time. "Get some sleep."
She turns with a slight smile and soon disappears into the nursery.
Lotusleaf nods his thanks to Duskfeather and turns to Willowcloud.
"Then lets go." he says and leads the way out of camp.
