I live in Japan, she replied, raising an eyebrow sleepily. Where do you live? Momoko blinked hard, sitting up slowly and turning in her chair to face him.

Anastase laughed, shaking his head. We are not in Japan, though, he replied, patting her head. Are you staying somewhere around here?

The auburn-haired girl looked past Miyabi and to the other, tilting her head. Oh, I almost forgot. No, I just arrived, really. I don't have anywhere to stay.

Miyabi smiled faintly, nodding his head. I am from Japan, as well. Though, I'm staying with Anastase, and his sister Anastasiya. He turned to look at his friend. Is it okay if she stays with us for now? I am willing to share a room with her, if that's okay with your sister, you, and her, he said, looking to Momoko.

If you will share a room with her, then of course she can come, Anastase replied with a nod. Sister will not mind. The girl is very cute. Anastasiya will like her lot. He stood up, looking down at the two. There is only one bed though, he reminded Miyabi.

Momoko, sleepily, sat up as straight as she could in her chair, still clutching onto her bear. Is that okay? she asked, looking to the boy sitting next to her. I won't sleep long. Just a nap and then I'll go.

It's fine, you can sleep as long as you'd like, Miyabi laughed softly, then looking to Anastase. Let's go then, he said.

Shinji lead Acacia from the mall to the arcade, stopping from time to time to make sure the silver haired girl was doing alright. Once they reached their destination, Shinji pulled the door open for Acacia, and offered her a wide, rather goofy smile. Here we are - The arcade. After you!

Thank you, she smiled, walking into the building. She paused, turning to wait for the other, before looking back to everything this place had to offer. Wow, Acacia breathed, looking to Shinji. Lots of lights and sounds.

Lots and lots of lights and sounds! Shinji laughed softly and gestured towards the counter before them. We have to get tokens to play, so...would you like to come with me, or would you like to explore on your own a moment while I take care of that?

I'll go with you, she nodded. If I wander off, I might get lost. This place looks pretty big. Acacia looked to him and tilted her head. What do you need tokens for?

I doubt you'd get lost for long, silly...I'd come find you. Shinji blushed as the words slipped from his lips but he offered a smile and lead Acacia to the counter. You need tokens to play the games. They don't accept coins of any other kinds, sadly. I found that out the hard way. He offered a sheepish smile and exchanged some bills for a handful of tokens. Not many, but enough to get her familiar with his favorite games. Here, let's go this way first. He lead her off past the games that grant tickets for prizes, and brought her to a large, race type game - The kind where it's near a real car set up to a system so that your bodyweight and movements affect the simulator, thusly affecting the game. This one is kind of hard, but it's one of my favorites. A simple race over multi-terrain. He laughed and let the tokens fall into a velcro-ed pocket. If you're really from teh Underground like yousaid, chances are you don't know much about cars, right? Well...This one is pretty realistic, from someone who's high on detail. He laughed again and slipped into the driver's seat of the simulator.

A car, she repeated as she watched him. I'm afraid you're right, I don't think I'm sure what one is. Acacia stood still and looked over the, what she thought to be, strange contraption. What do you do?

Well, for the game, you use the wheel to steer yourself, press your foot to this pedal to accellerate, and this pedal to stop. In a real car, there's a gearstick, possibly a manual transmission which would add another foot pedal, but...It's not important to know to play the game. He laughed softly and looked to Acacia, blushing faintly still. He slid out of the seat and made his way towards a single-player dance game. This game is fun, too...If you've got good eye-foot coordination.
PostPosted: Fri Mar 09, 2007 2:36 pm

And what's this game about? she asked, looking over it. Why is good eye-foot coordination needed? Acacia looked from the game to Shinji and smiled rather nervously, feeling embarrassed for not knowing anything about what he was showing her.

Well, you need good eye-foot coordination for this one because it's a dancing game. Shinji smiled to Acacia and stepped onto the platform, tapping his boot to one of the brightly colored squares. When you play, you watch the screen. Arrows will roll up the screen, and when they match up to the arrows at the top of the screen, you step. If you step too soon, or too late, or on the wrong paddle, you lose points. If you can step in time with the arrows enough without missing a step, then you get bonus points. He smiled to the silver haired girl, wanting to watch her bounce over the platform but paused, and blushed deeply when he realized he was having such naughty thoughts.

I see, she said softly, looking to the screen. Are you going to demonstrate then? Acacia looked from the screen to his feet and then to him. It seems pretty difficult.

In spite of the restraints of heavy, clumping boots, Saveria was all but dancing on the threshhold of the arcade. Her skin was flushed darkly at her cheeks and her eyes lit up with undeniable excitement. Hovering at the entrance, waiting for her companion to catch up with her, she swayed impatiently. By contrast, Chiara shifted from foot to foot with apprehension [quite a feat, as they were still moving] and each step brought her slowly closer to what she feared may very well be her demise. When she finally paused, it was to look up with an expression that showed mingled feelings of admiration and fear.

"Are you sure we ought to go in?" Chiara asked, fingers tangled in shopping bag handles and the thin strap of her purse. "It doesn't look like our sort of place, really," she added, hoping that her voice sounded convincing rather than cowardly.

"Nonsense!" Saveria returned with awe-inspiring confidence, taking the half-sidle, half-step required to fling an arm about her friend's shoulders. "It's just our sort of place! I bet they even have that goofy Para-Para thing you said you wanted to try!"

The dark-haired girl turned a brilliant hue that wasn't quite red. Due to her clothing, it was far closer to purple than pink, as well. Whether it was in response to either to impromptu embrace, or the reminder of her own half-hearted interest in games--it was hard to say. Either would make a convenient excuse for the other. She sighed, shoulders sagging beneath Saveria's arm in defeat. "Okay, fine. We'll go into the goddamn arcade--" Chiara mumbled, "--but you have to promise not to ditch me!"

"HA! Wouldn't dream of it!" her companion squealed delightedly, her normally low-pitched voice elevated in girlish excitement before pecking Chiara on the cheek. With a squeeze of hand to shoulder, Saveria gently guided the still uncertain girl through the front doors.
