Rosette gave Blaise a quick nod before turning to Chrono.
"You tired?"
"Not really, I've been a bit on edge, but I haven't really done anything for a while." Chrono answered simply.
"Good, I want to spar with you."Rosette said mildly before turning to Blaise," Just one thing... I have no weapons."

“No need for weapons yet.” Blaise said, “We’ll start out with fists, then after our break in the afternoon we’ll get in some weapons training. I’ll have everything you need. Meet me outside when you’re ready to start.”
Blaise turned and left walking to a small clearing not too far from her home. Kaden watched her leave and shook his head.
“I have to go.” He said softly to the others, “I have . . . things . . . to do.”

Chrono, keen as ever, watched Kaden retreat elsewhere as soon as Blaise was in view.
"I'll be out there in a minute Blaise!" Rosette said, making her way towards the house again.
"Blaise, do you remember what you and I talked about before? You questioned me about how I felt about Rosette..."He began, not wanting to waste this prime oppurtunity to make a point.

Blaise looked to Chrono curiously. She remembered what he had said.
“Yes.” She said shortly, a slight questioning tome to her voice. She was wondering about what he was going to be getting at. Hopefully it wouldn’t stray to her and Kaden. That was a difficult and confusing subject. At least when she tried to explain things, anyways.

"We never did get to finish that conversation..."Chrono said, looking out the window. "And I needed to make a point to you."
He strolled closer to the window, his pensive silence seemed to change the age of his face, he looked quite mature.
"Every choice we make against those that stand against us put us at risk. And I am happy to have known Rosette for so long. And yes, I nothing terrifies me more than than the thought of losing her, yet you... I'm sorry, but you are too cowardly to embrace this fact that you have someone who loves you dearly, and you love in return. Chances are that among the group of you I have met many of us will not survive this next battle, and I believe it is better to spend that times with cherished friends and loved ones. If anything Blaise... do not let him go without letting him know of your feelings. Don't push him away, because you may never get the chance to call him back."

Blaise crossed her arms and turned away from Chrono bitterly, though she knew he was right.
“Chrono . . . you just don’t understand. I may be young yet but . . . I know what I want. Love is not what I want. It’s done nothing for me but hurt me. I loved my parents and watched them die, I loved my little sister and she was taken from me. If you love them, you lose them, and the pain is worse. I can’t handle it, not again. Trust me when I say I can’t love anyone . . . it’ll kill me.”

"I've know that feeling of lost..." Chrono told her. "I am rather old... and there were people I knew before Rosette... People I... daresay... loved before her... and I couldn't protect them..."
"That feeling of losss is great... but being unable to see that person and spend time with them hurts you even more. If Kaden were to die today... and you never told him what you felt, wouldn't that hurt more. That he died without knowing? That he died before you could give him and yourself chance. No one should be denied such a thing, even by themselves..."

Blaise didn’t reply and just stood with her head down, facing away from Chrono. She didn’t want to talk about it anymore. The situation was one that she could never expect anyone to understand. She had talked to Kaden about this. They both knew what they wanted and had come to an agreement about it. An oath. He had gone against this and he knew it.
Blaise sighed and folded her arms, waiting for Rosette to get back.

Chrono took a few steps to pass Blaise, only pausing when he stood beside her.
"You may be but a child Blaise, but I did not imagine you would treat him so. I hope you are happy with this." He said quietly before continuing past her.
Rosette jogged out a few minutes later as she tucked her amulet under her shirt, stopping only when she saw just how grim both Chrono and Blaise looked.
"What happened now?" She asked.

“Nothing.” Blaise spat bitterly. She avoided eye contact with either of them and looked to the ground as she next spoke.
“We need to begin. Already we are losing sunlight. First we spar – feet and hands, only the resources available to you. I will not use any elemental structure. Rosette, you and I should start then you and Chrono will begin a round. Dodge is the name of the game. It is not full-fledged attack but merely Touch. Just know that if you are touched then in a real battle situation it’s going to hurt a hell of a lot worse. After we warm up we might move from Touch to Impact. After we start that, don’t get hit. Impact doesn’t necessarily mean hit hard, it means last longer than your opponent. Keeping energy can be the difference between life and death when it comes to facing an opponent. Any questions?”

“Suit yourself.” Blaise said testily.
Blaise knew that it was unwise to strike first, but in a teaching situation that was usually the mentor’s job. Otherwise it would be a stare-down instead of a stand-off. She stepped forward keeping a swing’s distance away from Rosette. Her first trick would be to get behind Rosette for a first attack in the back. This was almost her style as she found out that blows from behind weakened an opponent faster. She wouldn’t hit Rosette all that hard because she knew what damage she could do full-fledged. Instead she would hit open-handed as opposed to fists.
Blaise took a slight step into Rosette unthreateningly and tapped her hand slightly to test her distance. Then, moving almost too fast for someone to see her exact actions, she passed by Rosette’s right side close enough to whisper in her ear, “Keep up.”
As soon as she was directly behind Rosette’s left shoulder she backhanded the girl on the right side then stepped back quickly to prepare for the swing around that always came.

Rosette turned immediately, swinging her fist like she was going to punch Blaise, but kept going, dropping to the ground and extending one leg to trip the girl as she turned.
"Don't fight me like a coward! I know you're not one!"Rosette said angrily. Ready to bring her fist down as Blaise fell from her kick.

((Sorry, just trying to get it going without having each of us make ten different posts. The characters are going to be sparring for a while so I figured that we would start of with a few specifics then generalize our posts until we need to stop so as not to take forever. All good?))
Blaise didn’t bother dodging Rosette’s trip, knowing either way she was probably going to get hit. On the ground there would be less of a likely chance, though, so she took the fall. Rosette’s maneuver was a double strike making Blaise’s recovery easier. Shifting her position she managed to get up to avoid getting hit again. She rolled backwards onto her shoulders then pushed herself up into a handstand – then with a quick push she was back on her feet again. Merely a parlor trick Kaden had shown her, but it was fast, easy and it worked. As soon as she was on her feet again Blaise prepared for another strike to come, but if it didn’t she would do the honors.
