Like I said in my first post, the differences don't matter if you're playing among friends, or accquaintances or strangers; in a capaign or a friendly game. In 90% of all situations, your improvised PF's will encounter no problems. But if you end up in a official tournament, then it might matter. That's all I'm saying.

o.O Uhhh...... Can you elaborate? Seeing as this is a single line, incomplete sentence, I can't tell whether you're saying infiltrating Marines get destroyed by Tau flamers or if Marines infiltrating with flamers pwn Tau.

I'm guesing the latter, seeing a a Tau flamer's only AP5 and S4.

Example: Chaos Havoc Squad with Infiltrate.

They drop down and move foward, and rapid fire at the Tau. On the next turn, they do the same, but also Fire 4 FlameThrowers at the Tau, whis is quite likely going to Kill the Squad.

After that, they can either assault or shoot again on the next turn.

Even if they are destroyed, they served their purpose, by :

A: Killing Tau
B: Getting them to fire at them instead of the Bezerkers approaching from the other side of the hill.

Nope, didnt forget about them at all. Thats why there are 20 Marines in the squad, and/or the MON.

Would this idea work for Tau?

Well, there would be this planet full of Tau, Primarily Fire Warriors and Earth Caste, that for some reason or another ,were encouraged to follow their own individuality, but also to help others.

So they would be like the other Tau army and still on friendly terms with the Tau, but more focused on Individual Acomplisments and Goals as well.

I'd doubt it. The only break away is Commander Farsight and he still follows the greater good. just prefers to have his boys train in cc

also, the tau are designed to give each other support fire. even if a squad is charging in, a well placed tau army will have a shitload of weapons at teh ready to kill the target. it would be like their one tactic in the codex, the kauyon i think.

I Decided to Trade My Marines, Eldar, and others All for Tau.

Btw, I did a conversion on My Ethereal, and gave him an AWESOME Sword and Glove!
He Now is INCREDIBLE!

Granted that even though he is awesome with His new Sword, I doubt I will be trying to get him Anywhere Near being into an assult. blaugh
