The Biovore did derive from Ork genetics wich explain any abnormalities and the stupid grin.

yes but in the old version the biovore still had 6 arms four holding it up and the other two holding the gun.

My biovore only has 4 limbs, 2 hella powerful looking back legs, two spinly looking front legs, the gun is like an implant/protusion above it's head

I'm a total nub, and as such I don't know game mechanics when thrown into a game, although I hope I have gotten an ok grip on how they work theoreticaly. As such, would this make an ok army:

HQ Pts 151
Hive Tyrant 75
Warp Blast 20
Scything Talons 8
Scything Talons 8
Winged 40

Troops Pts 520
9x2 Stealers 16
Implant Att. 3
Flesh Hooks 1
Total 180pts per unit

8 Stealers 16
Implant Att. 3
Flesh Hooks 1
Total 160pts

Fast Attack Pts 80
Ravener 30
Rending Claws 10
Total 40

Ravener 30
Rending Claws 10
Total 40

Heavy Support Pts 238
Zoanthrope 35
Warp Blast 20
Total 55

Zoanthrope 35
Warp Blast 20
Total 55

Carnifex 85
Enhanced Senses 8
Reinforced Chitin 15
TL Devourer 10
TL Devourer 10
Total 128

One ravener doesn't do much by itself (have them as one brood. It will drop their menuverablity some but add to their effectiveness)
Your Zoanthropes will have to stick to your Tyrant or take moral tests all the time which won't let it move at its winged rate. To counter that you could give them both Synapse (20pts total) which would bring your total to 1009 (note that most games are played with limits set in intervals of 250, 1000 points is a fairly standard one)
If you take out one of your stealers (giving you 2 squads of 8 and one of 9) you would be back to you 989 total giving you 11 more points to throw around. Possibly add Acid Maw, Bio-Plasma or Toxic Miasma to your tyrant (I'd be tempted to go with Toxic Miasma and 2 sets of Symbiote Rippers for a total of 10 pts to add 2 to the size of the thing for outnumbering, have your enemy run is always nice and, if my calcs ar right, would bring you to a 999 point army)

urby gribbles are always more fun to make any paint than gribblies. Start with a tyrant or carnifex.

Actually, I'd start with a Warrior Brood. Your Tyrant ond your Carni are your big things that everyone will look at and you REALY want them to look good so you want your paint scheme to be all sorted out before you get to them.
On the other hand, painting up masses of gauts is boring as hell after a while so you want to start out a bit bigger than that. Warriors are a happy medium. Small enough that you can do a bit of paint experementation and big enough that you wont have to plow through 16+ of them at once.

Welcome to the brood brother.

I'll probly have winged warriors in my fast attack. A very quick army to make and be able to deal alota death

A good idea is to paint a box of gaunts, then do something like warriors or a carni, then another box of troops, then another big one, and altrenate.

How about this, I edited it some.

HQ 163pts
Hive Tyrant
WB, 2x ST, +1S
Winged

Troops 466pts
9x Genestealers 153 pts
Flesh Hooks

9x Genestealers 153 pts
flesh hooks

8x Genestealers 160 pts
Implant att, Flesh hooks

Fast Att. 80pts
1x Ravener 40 pts
ST/RC

1x Ravener 40 pts
ST/RC
(Someone said it would be just as good to combine them, is it any better, and is the loss of mobility any mentionable size?)

Heavy Support 288
3x Zoanthrope 175
WB, 1 with Synapse

1x Carni 113
TL Dev, TL Dev, +1 BS

It comes to 997 pts.

Is the Synapse mandatory or optional for the Z?
