"At this moment, I'm fighting the very power they wish to control...the ruthlessness that's inside of me. There's voices...telling me to kill...to side with the darkness, and to let go of the light."
She silently scratched a patch of fur on her arm. "They need me to kill Gill, so why not do it when I'm actually willing to? And after that, why don't I just go on a killing spree! Let me tear the innocent to shreds, rip open my friends...and after that, let's let VILLIAN put the little wolf girl in a cage, never letting her out except as an attack beast. Let them do experiments to see what makes her tick, and then let her loose in the cities till one day, she's shot and killed by some innocent bystander!"

Scott immediately frowned upon hearing VILLAIN's plans for Kris, knowing that the evil organization would not hesitate to carry them out, if they got their hands on Kris. "You're strong enough to fight off the voices, I'm sure, and, even if you succumb to them, I won't let anyone take you. You're too important to the System and I don't want to lose you," he said. If VILLAIN managed to get away with Kris, his life would change drastically, most likely becoming much less open to the outside world and focussing much of his energy on finding her and bringing her back to them.

"I know that...but still...if I do have to give myself up to save you guys, I would gladly do so."
She ran her nails along the wall, leaving long claw marks. "I'm sorry...I never got to thank you from before...at the mansion...Gill's just been keeping me away for a while...but...maybe it was deliberate...but anyway, I thank you. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be here...much less alive..."

Scott smiled at her, bringing his gaze up to meet hers. "It was a team effort. If it wasn't for you, I would have ended up wandering around that house for days, trying to figure out what was going on," he told her. "And thanks for your help as well," he added. If she hadn't taken them to the library, he never would have known about the past of the house, or Ligs' ability to manipulate the house. "The weapon hall was also one-hundred percent your finding," he said. She had provided them with the weapons to get rid of the demon that haunted the house for long enough to get the mansion burnt to the ground

Rayla gasped at Kris when she noticed the changes as she came onto the boat. She took a few steps back, noticing something was a little off. She doesn't look friendly...I'm confused... She forgot all about not having her hat on, realizing there were more important issues at hand. She slowly walked after Kris and Scott, curious as ever and wanting to find out what exactly was going on. "Kris..? Are...you alright..? You seem....troubled.." She glanced over at Scott and smiled feintly. She had seen him on the boat briefly a few times, but never enough to actually know him.

"Yeah, but it was me being my klutzy self that found it. I only got hurt...and was a burden to you..."
Turning slightly towards Rayla, she lowered her head, then raised it again. "I am fine...for now. If anything does happen tonight with me, I want you guys to do everything you can to protect yourselves...against me."

Scott walked over beside Kris, glancing briefly at Rayla and nodding at her to acknowledge her. "It doesn't matter how you found it, as long as you did and you were anything but a burden, trust me," he assured her. "Even if it was entirely by accident, you're the reason that I'm alive and well today," he added. She had kept his spirits up during their brief stay at the mansion and he had helped to keep her safe. They were each responsible for the other's current state of life. If he hadn't awoken to pull Kris from the hole, she would have likely died and then it would have just been a matter of time until the rest of them were picked off, either one-by-one or at the same time.

"I know...but still..." Kris punched the wall, chips flying from the hole she had made. "Everything I do is an accident! I can't do anything right!" The voices grew louder in her head.
Clencing her fist, she shut her eyes, and tried to breath slower, to contain her anger and self-pity.

Rayla frowned, trying to think of a way to comfort her. Nothing she could say seemed like it would work. She stayed silent and just smiled, sitting down against the wall. "We'll...be fine...maybe... you should... sit this one out..?"

Scott glanced over at Rayla again. "Maybe she's right. Perhaps you could wait this one out. We could keep you in one of the rooms and have someone guarding the door so no one could come in and take you," he said to Kris. He hadn't learned the name of the other girl yet and he didn't intend to until it was necessary because there were much more important things going on that needed to be worked on. He didn't want to make Kris seem useless by keeping her out of the fight, but it might be best for everyone involved, especially since he would rather keep Kris on their side instead of letting VILLAIN have her.

"No...I'll-" Kris froze again, eyes growing large. She stood there, suspended in thought.
Moving away from the wall, her hands curled into fists. "The voices...they call to me...they make me hungry for... Kris gave out a loud, barking laugh. She grined, her teeth showing.
"Manflesh."

Rayla gasped and took a step back, staring at Kris in disbelief. She slowly held her hand out. "Kris..? Are...you still in there..?" She froze in fear, thinking of what could possibly happen if Kris was over taken. She breathed heavily, hoping the sound of hers or Scotts voice might reach her.

Scott jumped back from Kris as she laughed and brought his staff to bare when she finished her sentence. "Don't make me fight you Kris. I know you wouldn't really do this," he said to anyone who was listening. It was partially just to convince himself that it wasn't his best friend who was doing this to him because he had been unnecessary and troublesome at times. He wouldn't dare hurt her, even if he knew that she wasn't in control of her body, because he knew that, if she regained control, she would likely feel the pain from the injuries he had inflicted on her.

"Kris...is no longer here...she has let me take over...for a while..." The creature went down on all fours, unfurling the long, jagged claws. Cracking her neck sharply, she lowered her head, letting her fangs show.
"I'm waiting...come quietly...and I'll make it quick..."

Sasha pulled out her swords and held them shakily at her side. She had used swords before, but she hardly enjoyed it. The emerald and sapphire chains on her swords jingled as she drew them, and she looked at Kris, fear in her eyes. "D-dont...do this...Kris. I...we...don't n-need...to fight.." She swallowed hard and tried to calm herself down. She tried to shift into a defensive stance, but all she could do was stand there.
