And you should watch where you put your feet...

Ryudo kept walking, but kept an eye on Madi. He didn't need a repeat of last time he got lost...

"But I always watch where I am goi-" at that Moment, Madison fell to the ground. She should up slightly and looked behind her to see what exactly she had tripped on no. There, a rock sat by her feet which she could have sworn wasn't there before.

"...Oh..." She sighed lightly, and stood to her feet and began to brush the dirt of the front of her skirt and shirt. She soon moved to brush off her coat. Quickly, she countinued to walk making sure that every step was not a dangerous one.

Damrius looked at Ryugi's back.

How can you let something like that... Thing pass? It's an equivilant exchange... he's killed, he needs to be killed. I've killed before, but I'm not scared to be killed. It would have been coming, and for as many lives as I have taken, the loss of mine would mean nothing. This man deserves to die, but It's really up to what you want to do... I have no say... But... If he kills anyone in this party, I will deliver the killing blow if you are sitting there trying to convert him.

Damrius thought this all to himself. He had been wondering if he should voice it or not, but d ecided not to. No need. Send Ryugi into a world of worry about his sanity and probably get him a lecture. Didn't matter though, as long as they found this b*****d.

Ryugi has never killed someone intentionally. His heart, and his soul, are as pure as freshly fallen snow. It is against his nature to cause someone severe harm. Even some of his most devastaing attacks intentionally miss vital organs so that they may live even after a severe blow. He does not kill, he defeats, leaving even some of the most dangerous people to remain alive because he does not feel it is his place to take away life.

However, he is not perfect, and has a dark side to his kind and loving personality. It is only unleashed when he comes into contact with severe and devastating loss. Perhaps something as the death of Kobayashi, or the death of a friend or loved one. He is so stricken my his loss, that he will stop at nothing until the person responsible is severely injured, and, if it is severe enough, possibly, until they no longer exist in a physical form. Compassion is not a weakness Damrius, infact, sometimes, it can be a powerful strength.

Ryudo spoke telepathically to the boy as he had felt the strong emotions from him, and felt out into his mind, to see what was troubling him.

Damrius stopped in his tracks, and waited for Ryudo and madi to catch up. As soon as they did...

It doesn't matter... But fine. I'm really only out to look for one person these days... and I'm gonna kill her myself... But this creation needs to die. It has killed cold heartedly... Just as you have, if I'm correct... But you have changed. Ryugi has defeated this person once already. It didn't change a thing. He's going insane. He's putting the entire continent at Risk. Hell, the whole world. And if I'm correct he's the one sending out orders for that Iris to capture Madison.

He's just too dangerous. BUt it's his call, not mine.

I killed for a cause, not in cold blood. But I have come to learn that my views are not the only correct way of thinking.

Ryugi is willing to exhaust every chance he has before he has to take the inevitable last step. It's the way he's always been. He always tries to find a better way.

Ryudo continued to walk, not looking directly at Dame.

Damrius shrugged and kept quiet from there.

Let's just get to the Altin Shrine...
PostPosted: Mon Aug 07, 2006 12:10 am

**The party smaller party walked on for what seemed like hours and hours, which, in actuality, was true. They walked for nearly the entire day, stopping to rest a couple times, but never actually stopping for more than 5-10 minutes at a time. Unlike Presea and the City of Elders, Altin Shrine was quite a distance from the last couple towns. In order to get there, the group would first have to travel through the Bounty Plains until they reached the Altin Forest. This forest was packed with thick trees that stretched for miles, and covered much of the Altin Mountain Range.

After a long hike through the forest, the group would have to climb higher into the mountains through ice and snow. The trees would thin out after a while, untill they would reach the treeline. Even still, they would have to walk and climb higher through the mountains until they reached the base of Mount Aleph, Angara's tallest peak. Once there, the whole group would have to climb its chilly and snow-blown slopes to reach the summit where their destination, the Altin Shrine would await them. Yes, they had a long journey ahead, but for now, Ryugi had other plans... **

They group had traveled all day long, and still had a long way to go to reach their destination, but fortunately they had traveled across the rest of the plains. Ryugi, seeing nightfall quickly approaching, picked out a spot near a beautiful, tree sheltered lake. There was a slight fog covering the surface of the peaceful lake, and not a ripple in its beautiful blue waters. The trees were pulled up almost to the edge of the water in some cases, and in the distance, one could see the full moon just beginning to rise over the top of Mount Aleph, far in the distance. Ryugi gathered a small bit of wood and set it ablaze for a fire. He then spoke.

We should all get some rest for tomorrow. We have another big day of walking ahead of us. So, goodnight everyone.

Ryugi grinned and leaned himself up on a tree for support, and near the fire for warmth. He then closed his eyes and began to drift off to sleep. Vargus soon joined him, nestling up close to him and laying her head on his chest. Ryudo grumbled and moved up against a large boulder. He then sat cross-legged and closed his eyes, a soft purple glow emanating from him, and a small barrier of the same color appearing around his form. He didn't generally sleep, but he DID meditate to conserve energy and restore his psychic abilities for the next day.

Damrius nodded, and moved toward the edge of the lake, where he sat. He didn't however, drift off into sleep. He looked up at teh sky, the stars now appearing.

As the others seemed to prepare themselves for rest, Madison remained awake. She quietly sat gazing at the fire with her head propped up with her arm. The flames danced infront of her which seemed rather comforting to her eyes.

She looked away from the fire to see if there was anyone else that was awake. She soon lightly noticed that Damrius seemed to remain awake, but she wasn't too sure if she wanted to disturb his train of thought.

Dame felt a gaze fall upon him.

Now... who could be watching me? Ryudo? No... too... Not him... Ryugi's sleeping... Vargus is sleeping with Ryugi... Silver? nah... That leaves...

Yes, Madison?

Damrius turned his head slightly, looking out of the corner of his right eye at madison.

"Oh...Urm...Hello! Sorry to have bothered you" Madison seemed nervous at Dame, she had never actually, she soon turned to look back at the fire's dance.

A smile formed on her face as her mind began to drift alittle about some tucked away memories she had. After a few moments, her eyes lightly looked up at Dame again but her face remained still. This was her attempt to be stealthy.

Silver supposed he better break for camp along with the others. Afterall, he had no idea where he was going. Taking his dirty clothes, though still wearing his Ryugin Uniform, he washed them by hand in the lake. After a little while, he hung them in the branches of a tree to dry, drops of water possibly showering the two dragons.

Still wide awake, he took a short walk around the moonlit lake. He could only stare at the moons reflection in the crystal clear waters, almost mesmerised by its presence. He clutched his pendant, which always seemed to call to him on a night like this. Taking a sit on the far side of the lake from the others, he enjoyed the scenery for a good hour or so.

Dame never looked away. Once she looked back, he looked foreward, but did so slowly.

You didn't bother me really. I'm jsut sitting here with my mind blank.

As Madi, Dame, and Silver went about their nightly tasks and chats, the moon would rise higher into the sky, lighting up the clouds, and shining beautifully. And, if one were to look carefully, they would see a soft beam of light fall from the moon, and alight on the lake. Soft shimmering light, and soft particles of shining glimmers slowly shone down from above, and up through the deapths of the lake, a single figure began to emerge, appearing dry as a bone. The being's eyes were as crystal blue as the water she arose from, and she seemed to sit apon the water as if it were solid...

She seemed to glow with a soft white light as she sat on the water, and then, her blue eyes would look to the shore where the weary travelers slept...
