our alto section had like over 10 altos even with the one who graduated...there r 3 tenors for marching band and 5 tenors for concert band....and i'm a tenor!!! but i'm not for marching season.....i'm a trombone

I wouldnt want to be in a band that didnt march Tenor Sax's i would never switch to brass (because i would suck at it anyway) I'm glad all the bands i've marched in had tenor sax parts.

plus, it'd give us a slightly better sound. whee We march tenor and bari, it's makes for quite a nice sound. smile

i play the alto for marching and wind symphony, tenor for jazz. whats cool is i'll be section leader for the alto section next season since im top sax, excluding the drum major, who is the best saxophonist we have

yea, our school doesnt march bari's either. we do march tenors tho. one of the schools close to us marches bass clarinets! that made my night when i saw TJ do that! plus they had cool capes ^_^
sax drum major eh? we havent had one of those in a while -__- two french horns this time. last year was a horn and a trumpet, and the year before that we had the same horn, a clarinet, and someone i dont know that didnt play sax ^-^*

the drum majors at james logan have been sax players for as long as i can remember. i think its b/c our head director is a sax player and his assistant is also a sax player
