Torrid shook his head. "Nah. I want you to use everything you have on me, I think it'd be a good learning experience. I don't care if I lose." He grinned. He'd considered the notion that putting himself at a disadvantage might be a foolish move on his part, but then if he succeeded after all, his victory would be all the more impressive. All things considered, Torrid fully expected his own defeat, and looked forward to whatever experience it would bring him.
"Ladies first!" He offered, squaring himself and watching her carefully to see if she'd attack right away or try and bait him a little.

"Alright!" She grinned, the special sort of sparkle to her eyes when she was fighting. Bobbing, she raised her fist and, never one to beat around the bush, Kallisto surged forward, closing the distance between them and throwing a punch.

Here it comes. He thought, digging in his feet and bracing his body to block. Counterattack was as of yet too complicated for Torrid to consider or attempt, so he stuck to his guns and raised his arms to defend himself.

She smiled approvingly as he blocked her successfully. Maybe she should try something a little stronger? Tossing her head, she used a newly learned skill in addition to her signature move. Concentrating, the kinesthetic used the momentum of their actions to pivot and swing a kick at Torrid, bolstered by another skill, strength.

Torrid had heard enough from Grave's retelling of battles fought to know that he did not want to be in contact with Kallisto's foot aimed at his person. Letting out a startled grunt of alarm, he attempted to duck under her leg and sidestep her, deciding it was time for a counterattack.
Success, however, eluded him. Kallisto's leg connected with his left shoulder, making a loud and ugly noise as it sent him staggering sideways. The pain was instant and powerful, numbing his whole arm to the fingertips and partially knocking the wind from his lungs. With a grunt, he attempted to use his momentum as he stumbled, driving his right foot and arm forward to throw a haymaker.

She immediately felt bad and knew she'd put too much into that hit. Opening her mouth to speak, she dropped her guard only to see him throw a punch at her. Blinking, she tumbled as she dodged, hoping to gain some distance so she could safely ask how he was without fearing being hit.
However, her balance wasn't proper enough and she ended up tumbling into the punch. Gasping as it connected with her face, Kallisto bit her lower lip and staggered away.

Torrid's eyes widened in alarm and dismay as Kallisto leapt face-first into his fist; he hadn't been aiming for her head, but it was far too late to stop himself. There was a new burst of pain in his hand as his punch connected with her face, leaving his fist aching. He paused, instead of pressing forward to attack, left arm hanging somewhat limply at his side and throbbing painfully from the shoulder where it had been struck.
"Shucks, 'm sorry, are you alright?" He'd stopped to ask his question, but Torrid didn't let his guard down in case she took advantage of this opportunity.

Kallisto shook her head to remove the stars from her vision. Blinking a few times, she stood up straight and smiled, "I'm fine. Are -you- okay? I.... I'm sorry." She remained on guard as well, however, and focused on spotting any moves Torrid might make.

Torrid grinned lopsidedly at her. It hurt like hell, but he tried his best to conceal the effect it had on him. "Yeah, I'm fine too. Grave wasn't kiddin', you sure can throw those legs of yours!" He laughed, and dropped a little lower like an animal winding up to pounce. Now that he'd ensured Kallisto's well-being, it was on again.
He made a low noise in his throat, concentrating hard, and took a running step to close the distance between the two of them and attempt a one-two punch; a short jab with his weakened left, followed by a harder hook from his right.

Torrid frowned as his lousy blows were easily deflected, more at himself than Kallisto. He didn't let it dissuade his onslaught, however, sticking his tongue out as he tried for something different. His leg came up and threw his weight in an attempt to aim a swinging kick to her side.

Forced to the defensive, Kallisto attempted to block, sure she could absorb the attack better then trying to dance away from it. Bracing her body, she watched the incoming kick. It met a strong defense but punched through and landed a hit. With a grunt, she slid back from the force of the impact.

A mix of triumph and still more pain greeted Torrid upon the landing of his strike. The hit connected, but Kallisto was so tensed up he'd strained his knee a little. He wasn't so worried for her anymore, as she'd proved herself durable. He dropped back to a standing position, ignoring the ache, and drove forward to try his punch combo again; left jab, right hook.

Kallisto grumbled as two more punches came at her. She'd block and try to break this strong offensive. Throwing one arm up, she swept a couple blocks out and then threw her weight forward to tackle the choleric.

Torrid knew he was pressing forward pretty hard, and that eventually Kallisto would strike back at him. He gave a grunt of dismay when his punches were once again deflected, and a cry of suprise followed when Kallisto threw herself at him. His reflexes weren't quick enough to think to dodge, so he merely braced himself in an effort to stop her charge and repel her backwards.
