lol - "Speak American" amuses me. Although to be fair the only difference between what's considered a language and what's considered a dialect is generally status.

What really skeeves me is when Americans accuse me of spelling things incorrectly and/or using "bad grammar". Partly because I consider that to be the height of uncool anyway, but mostly because almost every time it's been perfectly 'correct' in Standard British English.

I have no where near a texan accent. Why?

1. I'm from Minnesota.
2. Have you ever seen an Asian with a Texan accent?! Not going to be the first.

Is it just me, or do Texan accents make a person seem a little dumber then others?

Yes. I think it's because they speak more slowly; same deal with Birmingham accents.

Oh, and to be a bit more on topic: I never, ever have to return to the Adams building, ever again. Score!!!1 Hated that place. School's out, and once my exams are over, I can begin the srs bizness of angsting over my results...
