I'm not familiar with it.

...or alternately 666.5 on me. x_x
The Curse of Anu is the curse that Cu used to evoke at people who raped his culture.

So a bit of both.

I prefer attack channeling or curses that apply only a very small disadvantage or issue to a person that is surmountable by avoiding stupidity and disrespect.

So that when they invariably fail to avoid being stupid or disrespectful the curse clamping shut and causing all sorts of unpleasantness is their own damn fault.

...wow that sounded way more sadistic than I thought it did... o_o
My friend's favorite curse amounts to "May you get what you deserve"

That is a wholly satisfying curse I would say.

Hello, all.

Name's Angela, but Chaos will do fine. I'm 19. I've been a studying Pagan for about ... You know, I don't think that matters- But it's been more than 4 years.
I've been doing research and I've been really interested in Greek mythology and the pantheon as a whole. But really, I'm just exploring to be honest, though my studies keep coming back to Hellenism and Greek mythology. (I keep reading that this is a closed religion, though? Am I reading correctly? I don't want to encroach all willy-nilly. Or at all for that matter.) My path is a tad zig-zaggy to say the least. Could use some straightening out, but I digress.

Thanks for letting me join, though. Expect me to be up in your forums, asking those questions.

Whose been giving you that impression. Hellenic deities aren't closed. The Mysteries, yes, but regular old worship? Feel free.

Ohh, I see.
Thanks for clarifying- I think I got the mysteries and the deities mixed up.
I'll be doing more studying before I practice. :]

Guten tag, everyone! I'm ottery, or as some people call me, Otter or even just Ott.

My real name is Krystal, and I'm 22 years old. I've studied paganism on and off ever since I was 14. I've been trying to get back in to it, and thus why I have joined this guild. 3nodding

Hey guys.
Some of you probably know me from the M&R. I've actually been a member here for a while but haven't taken the time to actually hang around. sweatdrop

I'm 17, non-religious, but I love learning and religions fascinate me.

I'll try to be around more often, although I may lurk like a creepy stalker for a while.

Hi, I'm Syn. I've been reading about Norse Paganism for over 5 years now. I'm here because I'm starting to question the validity of both what I've been reading and my interpretation of what I've been reading. Hopefully I'll be able to get back on track and know what I'm doing!

Hi there!
Um well names Alexis and I'm currently 13 (Late birthday) and I've been really into Wicca and Pagan and all. I really have one question that started to confuse me (I was on forums last night and I hope I don't start another argument). Could a Wiccan be Solitary? Also, do they HAVE to take part in the sexual things if they must be in covens? I'm still learning but if you could help me then that's GREAT.

Another thing, Pagans and Wiccans... what's the main difference? Do they study and worship the same (or close to it)? I've been studying Wicca for hm... maybe a month or two at least? It's always been an on off thing and at first I just wanted to do it because of the Witchcraft but as I looked up the religion and such, I think it makes MUCH more sense then the other religions I've looked at.

Oh and it's really good to be here!! >.<

Only if they've been initiated and are in between covens or not able to meet with their coven.

Yes.
Wicca is defined by how one practices (orthopraxy), not how one believes (orthodoxy).
In order to learn the correct practices of Wicca, one must be initiated, as the correct practices are oath-bound and not available to non-initiates. Once one is initiated and learns the oath-bound materials, they are able to practice in the correct manner that defines Wicca, which includes the sexual things. If one changes the core of the correct practices, then one is no longer practicing Wicca.

Quote:

Wiccans are Pagans.
Paganism is an umbrella term for faiths that do not worship YHVH.
So the difference is Wicca is a specific religion, Paganism is an umbrella term and not a specific religion.
Quote:

I would say not really.
The only thing Pagans have in common with each other is that they worship gods that are not YHVH.
I would recommend heading to the Pathways subforum and checking out some of the different paths presented there 3nodding . That should hopefully give you an idea of how much different faiths can vary.

Hello, my real name is Cat. I joined because I was part of the same late night forum as Alexis (see above) and Violet (also above) recommended it. I thought I was well read and knew what I was talking about, but now I see how much of a novice I really am, so I'm here to learn as much as I can. I'm going to go check out the pathways subforum.
