The only ballet I’ve seen is The Nutcracker, and I loved the combination of elegant dance and enchanting music. I haven’t experienced opera yet, but I’m interested in exploring it since both art forms offer unique storytelling through performance.

Yes, I’ve watched film adaptations of plays, such as Romeo + Juliet. I prefer films because they offer close-ups and diverse settings, which add depth to characters and scenes that a stage may not provide. The visual storytelling in film feels more immersive to me.

I’ve attended many drama performances, both amateur and professional. Most recently, I went to a drama production of A Christmas Carol and a ballet production of The Nutcracker. In both cases, most of the cast were professional performers, but some of the roles were filled by local amateurs. Word Count: 48

I recently read the play, Death of a Salesman, by Arthur Miller. I had read it many years ago in college. It struck me as much more emotional and much sadder than I remember, perhaps because I was reading it for pleasure now, instead of reading it for a class assignment. Word count: 51

I saw A Christmas Carol, which was a musical drama. I would classify it as a book musical, as it was based on Dickens’ book. I’m conflicted about musicals. I sometimes feel the singing and dancing detracts from the story, especially if the characters don’t seem like the singing or dancing type. Word count: 52

I’ve never been to a live opera, but I’ve watched a couple on TV. I’ve been to see live versions of The Nutcracker and Swan Lake. I think I would have trouble understanding a ballet production if I did not already know the story. Word count: 44

I watched a TV showing of Phantom of the Opera. I vaguely knew the story. The benefit of watching it on TV was that I could pause it and look up information when I didn’t understand what was going on. Still, I think I would prefer to watch it live. Word count: 50

I do love musical performances on Broadway. I have seen Hamilton, Wicked, Lion King and Annie all when I was a kid growing up. I have also seen the Nutcracker multiple times which is one of my favorites. I definitely prefer things live compared to film or on tv.

I have watched the show Hamilton both in-person and through the Disney+ streaming service. I found the streamed performance to be better because it is the original cast. I feel like nobody plays a better Hamilton than Lin-Manuel Miranda!

How did the Disney streaming version compare to the live performance. I would love to see Hamilton, but it is unlikely that I'll have the opportunity to see it live. I could settle for the Disney version, if it is any good. Word count: 42

I have never watched or attended a professional drama performance before, but I often watch the youth group perform scripts from the Bible at church, and I enjoy it a lot.
I have never read a play before.
yes! I have seen a musical drama before, it was about Noah and the ark. I enjoyed it very much.
I have never experienced opera or ballet before.
Yes, I have watched a film/ TV adaptation of a play before. I watched the movie adaptation of `Royal Palm ' and found it compelling because the visual aspects added a new layer of depth that wasn't possible on stage.

I have never watched or attended a professional drama performance before, even though I always wanted to, but I managed to watch the youth group perform scripts from the bible at church, and I enjoyed it a lot. Hopefully, I will get to see one very soon.

I have seen several plays on and off Broadway. Most of them being musicals and one being the nutcracker ballet at Christmas. I have never seen an opera although I wish to one day. Last year when babysitting I saw Disney on Ice which was an interesting change of venue.

One recent play I read was The Crucible by Arthur Miller. I enjoyed the story and felt a lot of empathy towards women living in that time period. It is a story that can carry themes to modern day as well.
